Well my story is simple and probably known as it is but as long as the topic is here... I had an account back in 2004 but all I did was review... I was young and didn't even know that alias means nickname ( sort of )... and my original alias for that year was just three random letters. "tyf”... Any way later on I found some interest on the BBS and got a decent alias and when I reached 1550 points my account screwed up... Not knowing what to do at the time I left NG.

And exactly 134 days ago I saw this great game on a website with the NG logo and decided to show determination and got my account fixed... back then I was a safety patroller and when I came back I started B/Ping and realized I loved it. In those 134 days I haven’t missed a single deposit and if I do it for a whole year I will also be on the months best voting panel… I also discovered the C&C section where as usual the mafia thread was in the first page, I joined up and looked like I was the only B/P fanatic around until I saw the Barracks ( page 4 ) and found a place with as much B/P fanatics as me. So in short my rank is the product 134 days of hard work plus one 1 day it actually took to get safety patroller. I have a rich NG history...

I think thats the problem, I don't use that email any more. I tried logging in just now, but it looks like the account has been deleted by inactivity or something similar. Oh well, not like I'd use it...plus I already have an alt account for BBS posting. I don't B/P or review with it, I dont think thats fair. I use it for when I reach the 4 posts per 30 minutes limit, and I need to reply to something in a timely manner, stuff that can't wait. Nothing else.

I don't use alts... If I have something to say in over 4 posts quickly screw them and let them wait for 20 minutes, no one died from waiting half an hour without a reply...

And Huzzah! I found the right email (which i had to sign up for again), and I got my password! The only problem is that i got an error message saying "you tried 5 times to unsuccessfully log in. you wont be able to try again till tomorrow"

Yes of course this was my first thought but I no longer have aol or even use it. The email is gone. The only way to get in is to guess the password or maybe help from a higher source.

Also, since you brought up your story, here's my not-as-brief-as-it-could storyline:

January 23, 2003 - Joined Newgrounds with my friend Chris (username KristoffGannig)
January 23 - around end of March - Deposited daily and occasionally got B/P. Since it said "thanks for doing overtime" evey time I voted, I thought there was no benefit to getting over 5 votes a day. Also, I didn't know why I was still a citizen, despite having a 40 whole B/P! (tee hee)
End of March - Stopped going to Newgrounds.

- Big Time Chasm -

Beginning of October, 2005 - Returned to Newgrounds and started depositing again. Also discovered all the ranks you can get with B/P and how much you could get. Naturally, I became charged.
November, 2005 - I started B/Ping around 100 points daily. Since then, I haven't skipped a day. In fact, I've skipped over 6 days worth of B/Ping, assuming I make 100 B/P a day. I should be able to skip another day tonight, making EGSC come one day earlier.
November 10, 2005 - Decided to actually post in the BBS, thanks to Afro_Ninja's sim game and the "0" statistic in my profile.
November 29, 2005 - Started the Elite Guard Barracks.

The rest is history. I love this place.

I have an alt, but I only made it to reserve my "EagleRock" username when I used my Christmas alias. Otherwise, I don't use it. I don't even deposit. I did, however, have to stamp my profile pic in it.

There is no secret but i will tell you how i find them. When i vote in the portal sometimes it shows a review. if the review is abusive I look through the person profile.
if there are any abusive reviews I post them after I flag them. also look in the dating sims and hentai section there are always plenty in those as well. oh and chosing a random entry after you vote help as well because there is a chance you will find a gorgotten flash that has a ton of abuse in it. there are more but i am not going to give away all of them

My Newgrounds story, since everyone seems to be sharing theirs:
I discovered Newgrounds when a friend sent me a link to a flash (I even remember which one, Tom Fulp's Al-Quaidamon game). I noticed there were some other cool movies and games around, so I made an account. I went on NG for a couple months, but never even bothered to sign on, and had no idea how to deposit or get b/p's or anything. And after a while I just forgot about Newgrounds.
Couple years later, I rediscovered it and, more importantly, learned how easy it was to deposit. Also, when I went back to college, I had a long three hour break between two of my classes, and used that time for b/p'ing, working my way up to Police Captain in a couple months. Then, I began my year long vacation from college, lol. First couple months I actually DID stuff, in the "real world". Then I got bored of outside and I plopped back down in front of the computer and started b/p'ing and depositing again. If I hadn't stopped during those couple months, I'd have been level 10 a lot earlier...my b/p gain really started blazing when I joined the Barracks.
And yes, I have an alt...I try to deposit for it every day, got it a silver whistle, and it has a handful of b/p's (but still a civilian rank) because I once forgot to log out and log back in to Slash Firestorm, lol. It's really only there to hold my name, should I wish to change it for some odd reason (won't happen ANYTIME soon).

That's what I do, too, Captain. Often people will leave highly abusive reviews on UJ flashes because they know it'll be deleted and their reviews will likely never be seen again, and even if they were they couldn't be flagged, but often those people have abusive reviews for other flashes.

Btw how can you not have the best whistle when you flag so much? You must mark a lot of reviews that the mods don't consider as abusive and get as much negative points as positive points :S

Plus whistle points don't always count immediatly, you have to wait until Wade clears them...but mark my words, she'll have gold someday, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if she became the whistle queen, or flag queen, or whatever she wants to call herself, lol.

If she marks that many a day she'll pwn most users when she gets all her points :S Then she definatly will be the flag queen...

But it doesn't take that much points to get a gold whistle, I've heard it only takes 50-75 flags to recive a gold whistle and 100+ to get the best.

I saw someone say that in a NG tutorial a while back, and I was like "where the heck did you get that?" lol gold and deity are based on a sliding scale, like the level system. Deity is only for the single best of the best (like level 30). Gold is only for a very select bracket near the top, one which only _Joe_ falls into (I've also heard it's only for the second best whistler, but I'm not sure if that's true). In any case, I doubt either of them have the time to do as much flagging as LittleWashu, seeing as they have moderator duties, and LittleWashu is crazy with flags ^_^

Which is probably why they have it set up the way they do (to mirror the levels - 1 level 30 user, 1 deity whistle, etc.)

It would be nice to see a new whistle system (ie. new levels between silver, gold, and deity), but I doubt that Tom will be doing that any time soon. You never know, though...

Yeah I saw that in a tutorial too (look at my fav flash put it there). Yeah but then I get why not more people have gold or deity whistle....

I would like to see how many points I have though it's a little annoying that you can't see it....

Not until July 25th I learned how to deposit experience mainly because I never really cared, at the time. But on July 30th I tryed out the forums and later learned to b/p and the all of the pretty stat threads in the Wi/Ht. I found my new home away from home in my home. : P

I agee with you for the most of the part, sir. But here is problem. Let's assume that LittleWashu marks 800 abusive reviews per day. Because she marks so many abusive reviews, she could be wrong sometimes. Say that she gets 750 right correct marks every day. However, among those 750 reviews, maybe only 400 of them will be removed or Wade will be burnt out. Let's say that each correct mark is worthy 1 point ONLY WHEN REMOVED. Then she gets 400 positive points per day. However, those incorrectly marked reviews and those unmoved reviews (As long as the reviews do not get removed, they will not count as abusive reviews and people who mark them will be punished.) will cost her 400 (50 + 350)points as well. If that is the case, she is not gaining any points despite her effort. I am sorry to say that, but it is the cold hard fact. That is why I am against mass marking.
