Just looked up the flash and saw that it was instantly flagged. Man, the feeling that you've accomplished something here in NG feels mighty good! It's like Charlie Sheen all over again.

Anyways, I sent Wade a PM about those 2 flashes (Bale out & Dragon Ball Heroes) and hopefully they'll be deleted, I hate it when stuff like this passes through the portal.

Well, we have another casualty of all of the crud being passed on the portal.

Bahamut has officially stopped the Top 300 BP list. In a nutshell, he's truly disgusted about all of the crap that passes, and he feels that he's rewarding all of these selfish statwhores by listing their names on a weekly basis.

I can't say that I blame him. I will miss the friendly banter, but I respect his decision.

I also invited him to join the EGB, since he'll have some free time now - and he feels the same way we do about the state of the portal.

Take this as a wake up call, soldiers! We need to keep fighting the good fight - and we need to build up our ranks with new members that are serious about keeping balance in the portal.

When the going gets tough - the tough get bigger guns and fight back harder!

Hmm, good bytes, I liked Mut's decision, I think it was pretty intelligent, there's lots of statwhores out there. just trying to enter his list.

I kind of agree with him, you know. Although I do think the mess is in part due to the daily flood of 12 year olds who got their sense of quality from YouTube, there is more than likely a lot of people on that very list who were blindly point-whoring just for the sake of being on it. If stopping the list wil discourage the main offenders in this respect, then so much the better, IMO.

It is sad but true as many of these users love to see how they are doing. Then there are others who try to get as many points as they can so they can one day be on the list. If it had kept up then we would have most of the list looking like Toocool100 (the only user have seen who saves were earned and not gained in an ill manner)

I doubt this will have much of an impact as it hurt the few regulars who do the right thing instead of the statwhores who will continue doing this anyways despite there being no list.

I was once a member of the EGB and though my PM with him he lets me know that he lurks in this thread along with the NGPD to find stolen entries to flag. He also told me (as many of you may know) that if you see something stolen and he is online send him a PM and he will help to flag it.

Sorry to double post, but I had to express my utter disappointment with Newgrounds as my submission passed. I didn't even vote on it myself so that I wouldn't tip the scales. I didn't even get the frame crop right, I am very disappointed.

I guess Bahamut had a point, too many submissions pass without having earned the right to. It's just sad.

I heard your plea and gave it a zero like you wanted since an old battle comrade asked, but at the same time, I remember in the rules that it is illegal to submit flash for the soul purpose of getting blammed which if I am not mistaken you just did.

As I said I didn't even vote on it, and gained nothing out of it passing, except sadness. It's a cruel Irony that in 07' the blam rate was way more accurate and now even the flash that asks to you to blam it is passing.

Admin intervention is rare and about as reliable as government intervention, now that the staff has gained a LOT more profit from their work and the portal's entry system is cared for a lot less.

Not to mention test flashes as well. I remember whenever a test flash would enter the portal it would be blammed and 95% of the time the author wanted it blammed. Now I am seeing crappy test flash movies pass judgement as well. Before I went inactive the first time I could get blam points very easily and a lot more the just a few hundred blam points in a month. But as soon as I came back it only took a couple of months for my saves to pass my blams. Now if the crap and half assed flashes were getting blammed like they were supposed to and this happened I would really have cared that much but it isn't and once again I was facepalming.

They were doing so some time ago to stop the KK and the spam crew flash movies from getting TOTW. For a few months the portal was actually getting a turd of the week that was just like the old days until that KK flash adding insult to injury to what happened in Japan won turd.

So if they can do that then I think they can appoint some staff that can watch the portal and get rid of the shit that they know shouldn't be passing but is due to bad statwhores bad voting habits.

Considering the offer byteslinger gave to me to join (or rather rejoin) the Elite Guard Barracks, I felt it was only fair to make a response here. As much as I'd love to help out with you guys, I feel I won't be of any help here. The only times when I even check the latest portal submissions is when I'm depositing my alts and see what I can blam with my Toohot100 alt. Although there's flashes that will need to be flagged and my Deity whistle will come in handy, I fear flagging it with my main will only give me a blam point later on and some of you should know how much I want to stay at 77,777 B/P forever or at least until they add new ranks. Any submissions that need to be flagged will have its whistle blown by another account of mine.

To be honest, I'm not one that wants to pay tons of attention to the under judgment portal anymore. Without the need to check the portal all the time, it eases up my time to do other things such as spending more time on games, writing up more stuff (rants, reviews, etc) and I'd much rather do that. As for watching/playing any flashes, I'd like to save all my energy for either icon modding or medal games. For all these reasons I've explained, I don't think I'm the officer you're seeking for but I appreciate the thought nonetheless.

Washu isn't telling a lie here. Even though I'm not really wanting to pay a lot of attention to the recent submissions, I'm all good with anyone bringing up submissions to me that need to be flagged. At least then we'll have a bit more power to pull down one flash.

Oh wow, another Clock Crew clone. It's sad to see kids are still trying to make flash groups in this age. To me, flash crews died in 2008 and anyone continuing them now is just beating a dead horse. When I heard about this small wave of spam in the portal, I did help out with some zeros on Toohot100. Sad to see one of them passed since that's all they need from now on to get every crappy submission of theirs to pass if they intend to spew more crap in the near future.

One thing to keep in mind is how much they're focused on the upcoming redesign. I'm sure they have tons to work on right now and shouldn't pile more work on the staff members. That reason alone is why I haven't complained to Tom or Wade about the state of the portal. And besides, Tom has at least expressed his thoughts on cookie cutter flash games so there may be some hope but for now I'd rather forget the B/P updates.

Live action flashes have been accepted before. One great example is Awesome Video Games who actually have their own series page so live action videos are accepted but only if they show actual effort, not typical YouTube crap like the one we just saw. They should be blammed on sight.

Unfortunately, you do not meet our minimum qualifications to request membership at this time. You need to be a rank of Private or better (2,500bp), with at least a Bronze whistle, and a history of helpful reviews and BBS posts. Might I recommend contacting TailsPrower at the Newgrounds Police Department (NGPD) if you are interested in starting a career in defending the Portal. Many of the current Elite Guard have worked their way through the NGPD.

There is another of these Chocobreak-flashes, can you blow your whistle of them? Because the weren´t deleted in the past despite me blowing the whistle on them, so I don´t know if they are considered stolen by the moderators.

I click the Flash portal button by mistake, and Look what I see Yet another person trying to pass chocobreak as their own work.

We all know Tom called this Chocobreak taboo for the portal So it is up for flags people.

Figured to post this here so you guys can see this for yourselves. Judging by how NG votes on flashes, these guys have it made since their preloader and opening credits have more effort in them than the entire contents of the rest of their flashes.

PowerPrower if you look at the sign update on the account it is from 2007. I have seen a few I would not count it as spam in my view, but it looks dull not really a fan of anime dubbing. One user who does bother me slightly is Vegat40 submitting the same crap Alien Seduces Women. Its a real shame you are not doing the top 300 Bahamut but I get why its a shame stat whores have to ruin it.
