Most people can only understand topics that have just a few words, a word and a link attached, or just a picture. Maybe your topic isn't interesting enough for people to respond, or maybe no one has anything to say. Not every topic is going to take off and get a bunch of replies or even make it past the first page. Or maybe your paranoia is correct after all....dun dun dun.

Haha, one person passes you not the end of the world. Kinda what happened with me and ventar. If you can't keep up, just stay steady at least. Plus it doesn't really matter too much about ranking untill you really start to get pretty high, when you even know who's ahead of you, and most of those people around you in rank are pretty active in getting b/p points.

It will only be public if you make it so. Otherwise no one will know. Unless you were ramagi who is ranked #1 for b/p points, and then drop to #2, in which case it equals topic on bbs with lots of surprised people.

Eh, people won't be too suprised since she publicly announced that she was quitting b/ping. And it would probably equal a week's worth or locked topics.

Nope - my school makes sure that when you use a computer, your using it for school related things only - so I get my biggest net gains on the weekends, and when I come home from school.

That place was full of ignorance and immaturity. I posted a few times, but it seemed that the Revird had to be about SMC. That place was so horrible, Gooch wanted out of being an admin. Was it admin, or mod? Can't remember. After that, they locked his topic and then, shortly after that, it fell apart. They actually did stupid things like, "Be mod if you make a Maus topic on the NGBBS or say Lolcum!"

( 11

That's bad. You know when your admins and mods are dropping like flies, that your forums falling apart...

I myself am a moderator for some forum with around 10 members... there's another 17 from like the Lock Legion or something that decided to spam the crap out of the place... poor admin, I was gone that day - had to deal with the whole crisis himself XD

That inspires me to ask a question to all here:

If you got offered mod status on the BBS, would you accept it? I wouldn't do it myself. I think i'd be a terrrible mod.

If you would be a terrible mod then they wouldn't ask you to become one.

If I was offered modship I would accept. I'm not going to turn down the chance to help out on a site I think is awesome, and I reckon I would do a good job. I don't know how active I would be though, I am very busy most of the time.

However, the bonus would be that i live in the UK and there aren't many mods around when us Brits are awake. Therefore I would be able to maximise my helpfulness by being one of the few mods who are online during the day in my timezone.

I can't see myself being modded anytime soon. Firstly, there are plently of mods at the moment and not much need for more. Secondly, I haven't been an active member for that long and would need to prove myself worthy over a longer period of time.

We are investigating, discussing and revealing matters concerning Newgrounds.com and/or affiliates, competitors and the whole entertainment market.

Therefor, a new post will always be intresting and useful in this thread, no posts will be useless or the post will most likely be deleted.

As I know them for abit (DrLavaGoddess consider me as a NG Chat regular) and as they are available, I consider them a good access for the Newgrounds BBS.

I'm contemplating whether I should however... I dunno - but I'm happy with the tinch of anonymousness that remains on the BBS - if you go onto chat, people might quickly label me as an asshole or something...

I'd suspect that its based off of the reviews you give and whether the review mods see them and recognize them. Follow the rules, don't get banned. You get the idea... a lot of the bbs mods are review mods. I don't know if I'd enjoy being a review mod though....

Being a mod on the bbs would be hard enough with e-mails and users hating you...

That is true -

But, modship also means instant popularity - we all know that XD

I'm sure Pure_LionHeart knows that as well... lol

I'd find review modding to be the most annoying of all of them - you'd recieve no recognition for your work either...

I think I once saw Ramagi complain to Wade or something (read it in a really old post), that things were getting out of hand, and they desperatly needed more review mods...

I'm not exactly sure though.

That's something I don't like, people who only wants to become a moderator because of the popularity they would recieve.

On a side note about review moderators, ~XwaynecoltX~ who is Newgrounds' top reviewer (With over 12´000 reviews) ain't a review moderator, I don't think he should become one either.

I don't think he's the right person to possess powers.

Things like this doesn't have to do with stats and so on, and the reason to why you would accept a modship wouldn't be because of the popularity or the power you would recieve.

Yeah, it's a sad world...

On a side note about review moderators, ~XwaynecoltX~ who is Newgrounds' top reviewer (With over 12´000 reviews) ain't a review moderator, I don't think he should become one either.

I don't think he's the right person to possess powers.

Have you been to Retrogade recently? Is it just me, or does he seem to be a mod?

Things like this doesn't have to do with stats and so on, and the reason to why you would accept a modship wouldn't be because of the popularity or the power you would recieve.

No, I was just saying, that's sadly what happens.

Everyone sucks up to you to block off bans later...

Power corrupts... or at least if you want it there is a very good chance you could be corrupted or not have the best intentions in mind.

Normally, it does - but since when have I been corrupted being a mod for some random forum that nobody's a part of? lol...

But, if you look into history, very rarely do we find the "perfect" ruler, who is not corrupted by his Empires... (sorry ladies, but...)
