The "Newgrounds Expertise Residence" is for all us who have expert knowledge about certain things on Newgrounds.

It's not a fan club. It's a place there all you out there who knows alot about things that want to talk about it with others who are on the same level when it comes to the knowledge on your area.

The rules are simple:

Join and tell which area you know much about and you will get a Member-ID and Member-Info.

You know I had to think about this. Well you know who I am,

My questions are as follows.

How can you not call this a Ng fan club when you are going to talk about NG?

I see the purpose is to share knowledge about aspects of the site.
How is that different than what goes on here?
Not only do people share knowledge there on the same level they also help others in those area.

Which I can see this turning into that type of thing.

An "Newgrounds Fan Club" is a club for people admiring Newgrounds in my opinion, like groupies to bands or such.
We will talk about Newgrounds as commentators of a sport event, not like the audience who cheer on one team or whatever (As a metaphor).

Correct, but the "Clubs & Crews" forum section has clubs and crews there you talk about things related to the topic, how could we share knowledge when there ain't a place there we could do it and stay on topic?

They simply don't share their knowledge about the same thing that this thread is about.

We will help people here too if they need help, just because we can answer it. We are available for help but it ain't the main reason to the thread. But ofcourse, if you're in need of an answer and we can answer it, then we'll do it.

I'll join, nothing goes on in the BBS i'm not aware of, nothing at all. I'm a bigger post whore than many, at 25 posts per day, i'm up there in the top 50 posters i should say.

Just so you know, anyone can have a huge post count, so can everyone know what's crap and not on the portal just as I'm aware of that most of the users replying to this knows enough about the BBS to watch the "Clubs & Crews" forum section.

However, the expertise knowledge I'm looking for is more than just that. This doesn't mean that none of you qualify, but I hope there is something more you could tell me about your knowledge.

I would like to join. I'd say I'm knowledgeable in most aspects of NG. Even though I haven't been an active member for that long, I try to keep up with everything that goes on, what has gone on in the past and upcoming events (such as the PM system etc.)

I'm often found prowling the Wi/Ht? forum, and doing my best to help out those in need. Also if there is a question that is asked or an aspect of NG that I'm not fully versed in, I am quick to research, learn and provide information.

I have also started to help out where I can in the programming forum. I am doing a computing degree at university and feel that I need to share the knowledge I have gained. This currently includes XHTML, CSS and many aspects of the "C" programming language.

I guess I'll give this a go. I know the ins and outs about most of everything on this site I'd say. I know most of every club that has ever been made here in the C&C and most odd things for the most part. I can pretty much tell you anything you want to know about NG I guess I could say. But yeah, sounds like fun.

sure, i'll join. i visit the forum often, although i lurko more than i post. i'd like to think that i'm also quite involved in the flash community. i have a team of my own and i have lots of ideas for games and movies. i haven't been able to make flashes with my ideas, because being the leader of a flash team keeps me pretty busy, but i have a feeling that i'll start soon enough. anyways, that's about it. can i join this club?

Well... I'm not sure if I'm qualified in your opinion (your at least 3 levels higher than me and have been active much longer), but I'd like to join - after having days straight of posting at least 5 times a day to make up for my 4 month lax period of no NG... I think I know a few things...

Alright, what I'm waiting for is that we get atleast two people (For example) who has knowledge above average in the same area, then they can start sharing knowledge and what not.

I know quite alot about groups like the StarSyndicate and the Lock Legion (For example), but I haven't got the time to check so much things about "Barney Bunch", I only know that their submissions are very bad and I try to blam it each time I see one. I ain't even sure if I am blamming them.

Maybe someone who has lurked through their community know something?

Most likely, Barney Bunch are a bunch of alt accounts just trying to piss people off and joking around. I wouldn't say they are an actual group if it's just alts fooling around on NG. Hmm, that reminds me, Wade deleted quite a lot of those alts the other day. However, there's more alts from those people. Didn't see my blam points going up when they got deleted. :(

Yeah, I do actually have a strong feeling myself that there's like one person or two in real life friends who are making alot of alt acounts.

About the Barney Bunch... I think I've seen at least six of their submissions - and I haven't seen one pass judgement...

Most likely, Barney Bunch are a bunch of alt accounts just trying to piss people off and joking around. I wouldn't say they are an actual group if it's just alts fooling around on NG. Personally, I think they should get an IP ban so they can't submit the crap... but when you look into it, I think "Barney Masturbates" is taking it too far - and they are a bunch of alts - but the problem is that their submissions break no real portal rules - so they can only be blammed, and not whistled instead... I find this to be one of the most annoying groups to ever strike NG.

There's also the lock crew, clock crew, glock crew, socks, blocks, Sprite Crew (I think that's the name...) and many others that are much less known (I'm not sure how many people know about the socks and blocks - they didn't do so well)
