I managed to B/P at school today. Turns out the computer labs still have Newgrounds unblocked. :)

Now watching:
AWESOME TF2 PLAYERS.

Seraphim17 - Private;
Hacsev - 28,000 B/P;
FurryFox - Level 21;

Seemed shorter than usual. It just flew by.

Sort of... I mean, it's been three weeks of school, it feels like a bit more, though. Maybe it's because I'm keeping my promise to never sleep during classes again - last year I had naps pretty much every day, and the year seemed to fly by. :P

We need more shitty submissions, let's spam the Portal ourselves!
More 'Around the World' movies?

Stickfight! :)

What, Epic Beard Man? The tax game? I'd call that alcohol + free time. Not a really good mixture.
Must be a requirement to work at NG. :)

Hahahaha, yes. Lots of creativity, beverage and idleness. :)

Well, if they couldn't beat England in the game itself, they used psychological pressure. And England feel into it, I guess. Really low strategy.

Oh, and England beat Egypt 3-1 in football. I know it's just an exhibition match, but it's a start, Egypt isn't that bad.

Same for Brazil - 2-0 over Ireland. We played a poor football though, we could have done a lot more.

Have you been keeping up with football lately?

What now?

How does my girlfriend killing me have anything to do with me liking level 36 more than I did two and a half years ago?

Hahahaha, sorry for this. Its actually a friends joke at school, where one of my friends started dating, then suddenly he changed a lot.

Basically, he started liking everything a lot more. So his girlfriend was killing the original him.

Ah, come on now! I think level 35 is one of the most awesome levels in NG, especially with the gold aura. And green, of course.
It's not a bad level, I guess, but it's not one of my favourites.

I think it looks great with the mod aura. I remember when BBM had it, it looked really good.

Hey, you said you were far from any milestones, now you'll have two in a week, you silly. :P
I don't believe I said I was far away from any milestones, just that it takes me a long time to get to any milestones these days... which is true.

Ah, right, sorry for misunderstanding you. My English has been failing lately... :(

It seems to work out this way quite often, though: I'll have no noteworthy achievements for a long time, and then several will come along at once.

Hahaha, yes, they'll come stacked then. Only if you review 8 more flashes, then you might have one soon... but you haven't written one in a while, anyway. I've been slacking lately too.

Well, I'll give it a try, then. Just don't expect anything too soon...

I don't really remember the names of the servers, but I believe one of them was Alpha & Omega. Also, they are either completely full or completely empty - alert me when you're in a good one, please. :)
I will but please bare in mind that I've been playing other games recently and haven't played TF2 for over a week now,

No worries, mate. I've been playing a lot on payload maps lately, I really like being a Scout in them :)

Also, I crafted a Football Helmet for the Heavy yesterday. Oddly, today I got the "Soviet Block" achievement. :P

AND WHERE IS THE PYRO?!?!
Luck wasn't on its side.

ahw... wmhimhmuhmimimhff!

I remember making 100 posts in a single day once but never again. That was back in 2005 where I posted a shitload of posts.

I think my record was only 20 posts or so, I felt like a spammer at the end of the day. :(

_________

I swear I tried reducing my post to fit in just one, I even used <b*> instead of <strong*> tags... But yeah, Auz's VIP replies part 3! :P

mwmike

It's about time i start making lists again. I looked and the last one i made was 12/27/09, and when i just stoped posting for the most part. Right now i'm trying to find a happy medium. It seems to be if i can't give myself to this place and make my usual 15 posts in this section of the forums a day. I just don't post at all. Now i don't have as much time to give to this place, i'm trying to find that inbetween where i can help out/have some fun and not spend my whole nite here.

Mwmike, it's been a whole year since you last made a list...wow.

Expires? I'm not sure if things like that are even possible in Europe :p

Hahaha, yeah, there's a model we should follow. :P

Basically, if someone commits a crime today, in five years time that crime won't count anymore. And it's just one of the examples of how bad our judiciary system is. Some of the things I remember...

- If you're a teenager, no matter what drime you commit, in a maximum of three years time you criminal file will be clean. Like if it never happened;

- If you have a "good behaviour" in prision, you'll only take 1/3 of the original punishment;

- You can respond to lawsuits in freedom, you just need to try and they'll concede you an habeas corpus.

- The maximum punishment is about 35 years. With the good behaviour thing... ~12 years? Even if you kill 1,000 people? Riiiight...

Also, I always find it strange that countries run investigations against their own politicians. I mean I always thought that the politicians were pretty much in charge of that. Or does the guy have many enemies in his own government?

Not really. I mean, here we have innumerous political parties, so other parties can fill lawsuits against other politicians as well.

But what our governor did was a blatant crime: he was taped getting public money. It's a whole complicated story, but everyone can see him with blocks of money in that tape. One of his party members hid money in his underwear and socks, another one began praying, thanking God for the stolen money...

Really, I'm losing the little faith I had in our politicians.

Hahaha, I remember that. Also, when he was trying to stop their airplane, he pretty much didn't care about the oxygen masks. :P

IT'S TIME TO KICK ASS AND CHEW BUBBLE GUM. AND I'M ALL OUT OF GUM.
Haha oh yeah! He was standing there, shooting at the aircraft for like a full minute before he went back to breathe.

Until he realized his health bar was dropping, thus he had to put the mask before dying there. :P

I also loved how he was just sipping his coffee when he was blasting the crap out of that home tree with those helicopters. That was probably my favorite action scene from the entire movie.

Hahahahaha, that was a great scene indeed, despite being really emotional in the end of it. Maybe we should change the sentence to:

IT'S TIME TO KICK ASS AND DRINK COFFEE.

And yeah, those 3D glasses aren't the best invention ever. I had several headaches during the film, where I had to take the glasses off and rest my view for a few seconds. Although I think they won't release a "regular" version for it, though. It's up to the movie staff.
That's a complaint I hear more often. People getting headaches in the cinemas after a while and from some people I even heard they had to leave after 20 minutes or so. Gotta say that my eyes also started to hurt after an hour or so.

Well, I didn't see anybody leaving the room during the movie and not returning. But I'm pretty sure not everyone was satisfied with those glasses.

Another complaint I heard was from my dad. He wears glasses, and using a glass in front of another one wasn't very pleasant. He had to adjust it all the time.

That's one of the main reasons why I don't like 3D cinema so much. I mean I can just feel that my eyes are simply being deceived.

But hey, what about those grenades and missiles coming up towards you, eh? :P

What I also hate is that there are more and more movies coming out right now which are only in 3D.

Indeed. I think the new Shrek and Toy Story will be 3D only too. I wasn't going to watch then anyway, but yeah.

Like next weekend I'll be going to Alice in Wonderland, but I will have to watch it in 3D and I will have to pay a few euros extra for that. I don't want to pay extra >=(

Right, that's something else. The original prices in here were about 50% cheaper than the 3D movies. And they weren't announcing the 3D prices anywhere, we got to know it at the balcony.

I think so, her music was being more downloaded than bought, I believe.
Hehe well if your music is being downloaded more than bought than I can imagine that can kinda suck if you are an artist :p But I bet she is still earning plenty of money anyway, so... I can't feel sorry for her.

She played a couple of concerts in here not so long ago. If half the profit went to her, she can't complain about anything.

Also meh.. I got a feeling it's a war they can't win anyway. I mean, I believe youtube keeps trying to remove videos of copyrighted material but it seems that there are more going in than out. They're only creating more and more dead links on their own website this way.

Really, there are many alternatives to YouTube. Sure YT is the most popular one, but if I search on Google for a song, it's really likely that I'll find it, possibly with a download link. There are many communities dedicated to that, it's a lost war.

B.B. King is coming for a concert where I live. The cheapest tickets are at about R$150,00 which would be about U$90,00. The most expensive is at R$600,00. And hey, I wanted to go, but I'm not able to, because the prices are nearing the absurd.
B.B. King is probably a great artist, but I would never pay $90 to visit his show. That's just too much indeed. Especially for someone who is almost retired.

See, this is the problem - will he ever return here? Possibly not... It's a lost opportunity.

Ah, I remember seeing that in a mini documentary. He thought of the stage and the crowd being split by an invisible wall or something, then he came up with it. The other meanings for it are very "spread".
Oh yeah that's another thing I heard. So yeah, it has a lot of autobiographic elements from Roger Waters life as a musician.

Waters is a great musician, but I think his ego got bigger than him latter with Pink Floyd. Too bad they only reunited once for a Live Earth concert.

I think Absolution and Origin of Symmetry are their best albums. Go to Muse's website to listen to all of them, if you feel like. =)
Listening to some Origin of Symmetry songs right now. I still don't know. Instrumentally it is alright in my opinion, but their singer... I just really don't like his voice. Bliss is probably the best song from that album in my opinion.

Bliss is one of my favourites in OoS, but I'd rather Plug In Baby. It's one of the best riffs ever, in my opinion.

And yeah, his voice is annoying sometimes. Give a listen to Micro Cuts, you WILL hate it. :P

Also I must say that I am really missing variety. Every single one of their songs sounds.. depressing imo =/

Hmm, some of their songs are really depressing (Blackout; Unintended...), but some others are full of energy (Butterflies & Hurricanes; Map of the Problematique)... Lyrically, it's pretty confusing as well... I mean, Plug In Baby talks about... ehh... I have no idea. :P

You should have done better. I counted 4 times that I was sitting there and you guys got quality chances and I said "two-nil" and you failed to score. Robinho obviously hates scoring in England ;)

Have you been keeping up with football lately?

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on it. Spain and Argentina look like the teams to beat at the Finals this year, with outsiders of Brazil, Italy, France, Germany and England. Can't be more specific yet, but we'll see.

Well read my post earlier - Post count achievements are much more rare than experience achievements so... I felt that yours was better. Also I'm a big fan of the number 11 ;)

Hahaha, yeah, there's a model we should follow. :P

Basically, if someone commits a crime today, in five years time that crime won't count anymore. And it's just one of the examples of how bad our judiciary system is. Some of the things I remember...

- If you're a teenager, no matter what drime you commit, in a maximum of three years time you criminal file will be clean. Like if it never happened;

I believe there is something similar here actually. When you commit a crime when you are underaged, you will only have to do some work, like cleaning up the streets, for some time and then everything will be forgiven and forgotten. But I think if you commit a big crime at the age of 16 or so, you will have to go to a youth prison anyway and it will be recorded on your... penalty sheet? (not sure what the English term would be). Which means you probably won't be able to find a decent job so easily anymore once you're free. And repeated offenses means heavier punishments.

- If you have a "good behaviour" in prision, you'll only take 1/3 of the original punishment;

Lol :p I know good behaviour might set you free earlier here as well, but it's not like you will have to sit for only 1/3rd of you punishment. That's almost laughable. I mean you can get 4-6 years for some pretty serious crimes here, but if you would only have to sit for 1 or 2... robbing that jewelery store might start to become worth the risk.

- You can respond to lawsuits in freedom, you just need to try and they'll concede you an habeas corpus.

A what? Sorry I don't know much about juridical terms. Don't speak Latin either :p

- The maximum punishment is about 35 years. With the good behaviour thing... ~12 years? Even if you kill 1,000 people? Riiiight...

I thought you would have the death penalty in your country, but 35 years is still a lot. I believe we have the 'lifelong' sentence, but in practice I believe it often means 20 years maybe. You will have to have done something really bad if it's going to be lifelong.

I suppose they do that a lot with all the corruptness and such?

But what our governor did was a blatant crime: he was taped getting public money. It's a whole complicated story, but everyone can see him with blocks of money in that tape. One of his party members hid money in his underwear and socks, another one began praying, thanking God for the stolen money...

Really, I'm losing the little faith I had in our politicians.

Haha, yeah then you sort of lose all your credibility as a politician.

Part 2

Exclusive replies to Sir-Nuts

I also loved how he was just sipping his coffee when he was blasting the crap out of that home tree with those helicopters. That was probably my favorite action scene from the entire movie.
Hahahahaha, that was a great scene indeed, despite being really emotional in the end of it. Maybe we should change the sentence to:

IT'S TIME TO KICK ASS AND DRINK COFFEE.

Lol :p

I didn't like the emotional part afterwards much either. For some reason I just couldn't feel sorry for the Navi.

I haven't heard complaints about that yet. But I can imagine it would be very irritating for someone who wears glasses already.

That's one of the main reasons why I don't like 3D cinema so much. I mean I can just feel that my eyes are simply being deceived.
But hey, what about those grenades and missiles coming up towards you, eh? :P

Yeah that can be fun I guess, but... meh. I'd still rather have 2D.

Yeah it went from EU 7,50 to EU 11,50 here or something as well. That's quite a big price difference and I'm only a poor student you know.

Also did they only announce it when you were just about to buy the ticket? That's just lame.

Yeah. You can also always use limewire and programs like that. I personally use Youtube downloader though. I heard that was not even illegal because Youtube paid for it or something. I don't know, it's too vague what's exactly legal and what not. Another reason why it's war they can't win.

B.B. King is probably a great artist, but I would never pay $90 to visit his show. That's just too much indeed. Especially for someone who is almost retired.
See, this is the problem - will he ever return here? Possibly not... It's a lost opportunity.

No I doubt it as well. How old is he by now? He must be in his 80's or something. He probably won't be touring around the world much anymore.

Oh yeah that's another thing I heard. So yeah, it has a lot of autobiographic elements from Roger Waters life as a musician.
Waters is a great musician, but I think his ego got bigger than him latter with Pink Floyd. Too bad they only reunited once for a Live Earth concert.

Yeah. I heard they might want to reunite again, but only if there is another special occasion. So far there were none yet I guess. Also I recently saw a video from 2008 where Roger Waters and David Gilmour met again. They happened to be at the same studio to record some stuff. It was quite a cold meeting though, just some quick talk and they went back to work.

Ugh! Seriously that song is just... ugh. Is he even singing words or anything? Because it sounded to me like he was trying to sound like a whining cat =/

I'll have to remember this song in case I have another argument about Muse again. I think it sums up pretty much everything I don't like about Muse.

Also I must say that I am really missing variety. Every single one of their songs sounds.. depressing imo =/
Hmm, some of their songs are really depressing (Blackout; Unintended...), but some others are full of energy (Butterflies & Hurricanes; Map of the Problematique)...

I don't like B & H's that much, but Map of the Problematique sounds very good actually. As a matter of fact, I find it the best Muse song I have heard yet by far. I really, really like it.

Lyrically, it's pretty confusing as well... I mean, Plug In Baby talks about... ehh... I have no idea. :P

I can't understand any of their lyrics to be honest :p With most artists I can usually make out a few lines if I don't know the lyrics, but with Muse... can't understand a word.

True true but if I wanted to listen to sixteen tracks of Damon I would put on a Blur album. Idk, Plastic Beach is a unique take on Gorillaz and we'll see in a few months if it's successful or not but from experience it really take some time for their songs to really catch on.

Haha, ya i know what you mean. I look over this thread everyday and just don't post anymore. More or less because i don't have time. I'm starting to spend some more time here, and it's a far cry from what i used to. I was in a basketball tournament today after school and my team the "barack 'O ballers made it too round 2! And we fell for it :(

It happens.

On last year's Brazil Cup finals (football), one defence man started to provoke my team's mid-fielder (D'Alessandro). He tried to punch him and got a red card instantly, and the defence man just laughed at him.

Stupid son of a bitch. >:(

Oh, and England beat Egypt 3-1 in football. I know it's just an exhibition match, but it's a start, Egypt isn't that bad.
Crouch is looking a shoe in for the World Cup - I wish that Mr. Capello had given some more hopefuls a chance.

I'm really afraid of England's mid-field, with Lampard, Gerrard and Wright-Phillips there. But Fabio Capello is still a great coach.

Oh, and what's everyone saying about that John Terry's affair with his teammate's girl in there?

Same for Brazil - 2-0 over Ireland. We played a poor football though, we could have done a lot more.
You should have done better. I counted 4 times that I was sitting there and you guys got quality chances and I said "two-nil" and you failed to score. Robinho obviously hates scoring in England ;)

Ah, Robinho is a rare case. He's a good player, but he loves missing opportunities. If Nilmar was the started, we could've given the Irish a good 5-0 wash.

Have you heard of that Man. City fan who tattooed "Robinho" in his chest? :P

Have you been keeping up with football lately?
Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on it. Spain and Argentina look like the teams to beat at the Finals this year, with outsiders of Brazil, Italy, France, Germany and England. Can't be more specific yet, but we'll see.

Hmm, I agree with Spain, but Argentina is doubtful - I mean, Lionel Messi, somehow, forgets how to play with Argentina. And Maradona... he was a great player, indeed, but they could use a better coach, IMO.

Also, keep an eye for Brazil vs. Ivory Coast in the group stage. Bets are already on!

No worries, mate. I've been playing a lot on payload maps lately, I really like being a Scout in them :)
On second thought, I've been told by my friend that PropHunt has been updated as well as the return of Bestinclass map which got fucked in the ass by one TF2 update a month or two ago.

It was on 1.6, last time I saw it.

But hey, I've been having trouble with Steam since their last update. Somehow, TF2 can't connect to it, thus I play with the default weapons. Anything's been going on with Steam for you or it's just fine?

Scout and Demoman also failed but Scout was fighting against Heavy in the pre-contest stage and we all know who's the better class here.

IT'S COWARD KILLING TIME!

I think my record was only 20 posts or so, I felt like a spammer at the end of the day. :(
Heh, I made 20 posts in one day when the VG forums just opened and I didn't feel like a spammer. I was just excited about the new forum.

Well, crimes can "expire" here as well, but I'm not sure if that also counts if the person who commited the crime was already charged with it.

Even if they are being charged, the lawsuit might take so long that it reaches the "expiring date". That's right, sometimes it takes more than five years to complete a simple lawsuit here.

Well, Capello needs to get Gerrard and Lampard to play well alongside one another. So far, they've been great in friendlies, but crap in competition.

Oh, and what's everyone saying about that John Terry's affair with his teammate's girl in there?

Footballers are too rich, too young, according to Capello. Terry went and had an affair with Wayne Bridge's (now ex) girlfriend, so he lost the captaincy. Now we have to put up with Jar-Jar Binks (Rio Ferdinand) as the England captain for the World Cup.

We've got some easier group games, with only the USA to really worry about there. Once we get to the knockout stages, it's going to be a lot tougher.

7,000 EXP.

Seeing as how I seem to post here quite regularly and people keep congratulating me on my achievements I thought that maybe I should give something back and start making lists. Would anybody object if I did?

Nicely done!!!!

And congrats to Cooop for 14K medal Points.

As of this post I am at exactly 10,000 Blams. I'm curious as to what I'll hit first....10K EXP or 10K saves.

I'm closer to 10K exp....but at the rate I'm getting saves, anything is possible.
