Well, I was off about the few hours of power being out; it was more than three days. No less that when my last list was posted the power cut out; two deposits missed. :/

Things are pretty bad here with tree limbs being down and taking the power lines with it at my hometown. In my yard a small little tree ripped out the line for cable so I'll probably won't have it for weeks, though the power lines were spared (just the power pole's breaker just had to be reset.) You can read this article about what's going on here; I live in SW Oklahoma for reference.

I'll to the catch ups later; right now, time for a hot bath after freezing and shivering for days.

I've got to say that I prefer the sword, just about. It looks so clean and efficient, whilst the flail falls quite short. Regardless, the flail has some serious brutal visuals. Really, leveling's not about the level you're on but the levels you want to reach. Personally, I want to at least make level 23 before I stop depositing daily, although when you get quite a bit higher than it they start looking nicer.

Talking of stopping, I'll probably stop B/Ping either this week or next. I'm aiming to get to 2499 B/P exactly, after not having the drive to do any B/Ping since about this time last year. It'd be as quick as anything, but I want to do it with 1499 Saves and 1000 Blams, and with the portal like it is at the moment nearly anything passes judgement.

Personally, I love that level - so long as you keep it on either Evil or Fab auras. Evil just looks amazing on it and Fab looks good on any level. The light aura especially looks pretty awkward on it, for some reason.

Anyways, I'm hoping for some sort of statistical milestone sometime soon. I don't really statwhore much, and with my B/P coming to an end that will limit my total stats gain quite a lot. I'm hoping to transfer all of my B/Ping to an alt sometime, then when that reaches 2499 move onto another one, if I can ever be fucked, which is relatively unlikely.

That's why I suggested an individual category covering all four departments. I know not everyone is too familiar with one department just like how Audio Portal isn't a strong department of mine.

Especially the songs on "Lullabies To Paralyze" are pretty easy to play. Plus, the guitars are in standard tuning for all the songs, unlike Rated R or Songs for the Deaf, where for most songs the guitars are tuned 2 half steps lower.

I see what you're getting at now. It might help but still the problem the same I don't really know any good artists beside a few and they aren't really BBS regulars. I don't think we really want to stray too far from "BBS awards" with the categories since the regulars would tend to pick one of the Audio Mods for Audio, one of the Art Mods for art, anyways.

Well, we're metal, dealing with covers at present with a few bits of our own work thrown in. Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Venom are just a few of the bands that we are working on covers of at present.

Well I had a basic Java course last year, which I passed with a little bit of luck. However, this year we have a project scheduled which is basically all about Java. Yesterday was the first day and they just handed out a couple of assignments which require us to refresh all the material from last year in just two days time.

Problem is, I have forgotten pretty much everything and none of the programs I'm writing right now works properly while I only have one day left. If I don't finish it in time, I'll have to leave the project which kinda sucks.

Also I've never heard of C++, and unfortunately it's not that I have a choice. I have to do this Java project to finish my bachelor.

Just so you guys know, Java is pretty much just an extension of C++. Both Java and Microsoft's C# both are based on it, and reasonabily similar. Although, I've heard Java is easier than C++. Never touched Java though, so it's all hearsay.

Really now? I didn't think they'd be known enough to have a song played at a jukebox in a pub. If you've heard a few songs of theirs, then you'll know Christopher Lee and symphonic metal are a great mix.

Depends which songs the whole band is familiar with. It's no good in me suggesting songs none of you will recognise.

Well, we're metal, dealing with covers at present with a few bits of our own work thrown in. Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Venom are just a few of the bands that we are working on covers of at present.

QOTSA are awesome. Simple songs, but very nice sound and they just know how to write good riffs that get stuck in your head for a very long time. "Better Living Through Chemistry" for example. The riff is so simple, but it sounds so awesome. ^^

Especially the songs on "Lullabies To Paralyze" are pretty easy to play. Plus, the guitars are in standard tuning for all the songs, unlike Rated R or Songs for the Deaf, where for most songs the guitars are tuned 2 half steps lower.

Well, we've got quite a few songs in Drop D, so we should be able to cope with another change if we work the setlist correctly.

Yeah, planning is everything. Also helps if the guitarists have more than one guitar. ^^
I need to buy a new guitar tuner, a digital one (I have an analog one now). I had one once, but I lost it somehwere. :(

Lol, be glad you never had anything to do with C/C++. It's a powerful programming language but it's a bitch to learn. Plus it has many many errors...

I've always known that, but I generally feel that the way C++ is just feels more natural to me, despite the fact that I'm only just starting up. I'm actually considering checking out some of the earlier languages like C (although not quite as far back as olskoo' shit like Assembly), and when I consulted one of my friends who has a few years of on-and-off programming experience he suggested that I looked at some of these as well. He also suggested that I had a look at Lua, but that focuses more on general high speeds and additions to programs, rather than the programs themselves - even if that's not entirely true. Really, to me it's all about learning the general way the syntax works and the logic behind programming, not the specifics of the actual languages. I'm still in the very early stages of all of this, so it's more about the way to think if I were to be programming in these languages than the actual programming in the languages than the languages in themselves. Someday I want to have a crack at Python, which is apparently relatively easy as well.
