Day two without my laptop and that means the store couldn't fix the issue themselves. I had to call the helpline to confirm the shipping and I was told it could actually take 3 or 4 weeks...Fuck! That doesn't sound good at all so I'll have to estimate its return on 8th February. You might be thinking "4 weeks without a laptop just because of dust?" Yes, this seemed to be something someone else could have done for me but I have an extended warranty with the store so I had to get them to look at it or that warranty will go out the window. Not a good idea if I end up breaking my laptop by accident later on before October 2011.

Of course they can but that doesn't seem satisfying enough to look at. :P

Heh, I'm getting albums on release date very often. I just like to keep on my toes with the latest releases which is why I have 10 albums from 2009. I'll most likely get more new releases this year with a lot of upcoming stuff to look forward to starting with new Gamma Ray and Overkill. Speaking of Gamma Ray, the new album cover kicks ass!
I just don't see why I should pay so much money for a new album. The artists don't get too much from that money anway. So I can just wait and buy them later for a much cheaper price.

Prices for new albums online are usually fine. You could possibly get them cheaper later on but seeing the economy is still shit, it's not easy to get albums really cheap right now, unless they're second hand or the album is easily obtainble everywhere.

What was wrong with it? If it's just overheating issues it could just be a build up of dust and lent stuck in the heat sink and cooling fins. I typically have to open my laptop up and blow it out from time to time.

That's the problem, as soon as I or anyone else opens it, that's it for my warranty. Who knows, maybe there's actually another problem with it and the manufacture will discover it. We'll see what the outcome is.

I still much rather buy albums later and when I'm on a festival. They usually have metal markets with loads of CDs. Makes you think if you can ever earn so much money to buy even half of the CDs they offer there. ^^

It was no surprise though I don't know why he's doing it now instead of years ago. I really don't buy his argument that he is just using steroids just to get healthy and not to increase performance. You know the thought must have crossed his mind and the temptation is there not to just try to stay healthy but try to help increase his performance. I guess it's a nice first step but I still don't think it's a ticket to Cooperstown. When he finally admits that he should have never have hit 70 home runs and it's due to steroids that he did, I'll believe him.

It was no surprise though I don't know why he's doing it now instead of years ago.

Because the Cards gave him a job. He's too nice of a guy to release a book naming other names, but other than that, he was still a cheat and it sound horrible to say this about someone I respect as a hitter.

I really don't buy his argument that he is just using steroids just to get healthy and not to increase performance.

Like various reports have cited - it's not an isolated occurrence. Sadly, the isolated thing is that people are starting to admit this through one way or another (Manny :P)

You know the thought must have crossed his mind and the temptation is there not to just try to stay healthy but try to help increase his performance. I guess it's a nice first step but I still don't think it's a ticket to Cooperstown.

Nice to see that Aaron can forgive him though. Perhaps he's hoping that everyone else does the same, so that we can close the book on it. I'd second that emotion.

When he finally admits that he should have never have hit 70 home runs and it's due to steroids that he did, I'll believe him.

Summary - good / great hitter, didn't need drugs, failing body, turned to juice, got boost. I'm not sure if it helped him increase his power - timing is something that is underrated in a baseball player's mechanics. I've got the power to hit the ball for 6 runs in cricket (equivalent of a Homer), but I've never done it in a game, only in the nets, when it's a slower pace and you don't mind getting out :P

I'm afraid I'm not doing that (well, it's too late now :P) as I need that warranty until it expires. You just don't know what else could happen in the near future. This'll be over before I know it. Also, it was overheatng but not shutting off all of sudden. When it was overheating, it was causing games and Blip.tv videos to randomly drop frame rate and I was getting sick of it, especially when it's been happening since May for TF2 (I thought it was a problem with the game engine at first). Once I get the laptop back, all-day TF2 is what I'll need.

Winter, summer, it wouldn't make much of a difference for me with the dust preventing the air to get out of the laptop. However, the heat in the summer has affected my old computer before so it's a good thing it's cold as fuck right now.

I'm afraid so. From the looks of it, the Pentalist update will be delayed but the EXP update is a maybe. I might be lucky but then again, I might not. The only list I'll be able to do is the Regulars List. The rest will have to wait but when I get it back, everything will be back to normal.

I think it was a "behind the scenes" episode, where they picture the Simpsons as a real family. And with all the money they earn from doing the show "The Simpsons" they buy MC Hammer's house. Bart then finds the trousers in a secret room.

Hmm interesting. So you've ruled out a software problem? You know, having too many programs up or in the background will cause things to lag, etc. You won't believe how much stuff stays up without you knowing it. Guess it's too late but good practice in the future. Not to mention a can of air. :P

Best advice he can give them - don't.

Also, he's coaching one of the game's best hitters in Albert Pujols. Now getting him past Big Mac's numbers is going to be fun to watch.

On the subject of drugs in village cricket, I know that most of the players drink (sometimes even during games) and a fair few of them smoke as well. I know of one player that was expelled for smoking cannabis. Not from our team, but from a local rival.

Man NG is inactive lately.

Yesterday I was online pretty much all day and all I got was a lousy 25 BP. I remember times when the entries submitted would easily reach 200 |: |

Achievement of the Day:
Molotov: 25,000 Experience. Lol, not like you had any competition ;) But I'm pretty sure I would've given it to you anyhow. Congrats on this nice achievement.

Well normally I could've perhaps lend a hand, but your lists are quite huge and will probably take a lot of time to update manually. I guess we'll just have to wait.

Could be interesting to see an update on the BP list after three weeks though.

Well, the Fight Club started because one single man was beating himself up... ;)

But that's completely irrelevant.

We'll see about that if I ever go to a good one.
You should go to some festivals then.

I will want to but first, I've got to see Opeth in April.

Hmm interesting. So you've ruled out a software problem? You know, having too many programs up or in the background will cause things to lag, etc. You won't believe how much stuff stays up without you knowing it. Guess it's too late but good practice in the future. Not to mention a can of air. :P

I did put that thought into consideration as well. No matter what I did the game always suffered FPS issues. I then had to play the game as soon as I got on the laptop but eventually the laptop quickly heated up as time went on. My last straw with this problem was suffering similar issues with Aquaria since it didn't seem like a game that would drop frame rate like that. Well, I was thinking of sending my laptop away around the same time anyway. Still, a game like that should run perfect on my laptop all the time.

Yeah, that is harsh. At least he stopped to give his details, as opposed to just driving off. Some moron hit a bunch of school kids last week and still drove off without so much as a "sorry"

Wow, what a douchebag. There's an update on my parents' car and it seems the damage was much worse than originally expected and we may have to get a new one. If that's so then goddammit, that car didn't even last a year. Also, I found out the guy was driving the car and not walking on the path as I originally thought so that makes more sense.

Awesome! Awesome to the max!
And That Guy as well to top it off :)

Is it me or am I getting better with Futurama references?

Well normally I could've perhaps lend a hand, but your lists are quite huge and will probably take a lot of time to update manually. I guess we'll just have to wait.

Yeah, that's why I'm not doing any of these lists until I'm back. Manual updates take far too long for me and I'd much rather be able to pull stats to save time.

Hell ya! I'm going love my Cards this year. Even with steroids, Big Mac's swing and technique is still short and powerful. I'm sure he can give some good pointers.

Selig doesn't have the balls to do that - he'll sit on the fence until he dies.

I'll be happy whenever he retires in 2012. He just finds a way just to get by and he doesn't try to be proactive as some of the other commissioner in the other major leagues. Interlegue play, wild card playoffs all pluses but the whole debacle with the steroids issue is one big negative.

On the subject of drugs in village cricket, I know that most of the players drink (sometimes even during games) and a fair few of them smoke as well. I know of one player that was expelled for smoking cannabis. Not from our team, but from a local rival.

Yeah because pot is a well know performance enhancing drug; enhance your sitting on the couch and zoning out stats. :)

Man NG is inactive lately.

Yesterday I was online pretty much all day and all I got was a lousy 25 BP. I remember times when the entries submitted would easily reach 200 |: |

Yeah and it wasn't much better yesterday, either. I think that making a +2 ranks for the Blammers list update is going to be a nice challenge, if I can stick near a computer for long enough today :)

I've always been a fan of Albert Pujols - what a great player and certainly one of the best hitters at present, with Average, Power, good plate discipline, plus the coaching of Mark McGwire.

You kind of wonder what Selig would have done about Gilbert Arenas.

I don't know of anyone using Anabolic steroids to enhance their performances. Just good old fashioned hard work.

I guess that's a little ironic, but I'd rather have you win it then any of the other nominations.

Indeed - hopefully, my original picture can trump your classic ;)
I've seen fucking snowmans before. :P
I never knew they could *innocence* I always thought they fell from the sky and came to life by magic and whimsy.

That's what I thought as well, until I saw a documentation about snowmans on Discovery Channel.

No, because it's the same schema. One person alone did some solo action, but it quickly grew to some serious man to man action. I'm sure this can work for dragons as well.

We'll see about that if I ever go to a good one.

Nice. I've seen them live twice already and they are awesome.
