Oh boy. I have finally reached level 20.
I have to say that the pipe is way cooler than the blue...er....whatever level 19 is. I still can't remember what it is. Kinda sad :/. But I'm not going to level up for a while since I'll be away from a computer for 49 days this summer. So, I'm not going to level up for a while.
A few level ups it seems, Congrats to all that have been missed.

Not like my audio response rate, which is up around 80 some-odd percent. At least somebody around here is grateful for my outstanding reviews. HA ;p

Dude... I just said why. Right up there at 7:58PM NG time on June 17... #;-}>
But again:
The samurai used a long sword (katana) and a short sword (wakizashi or tanto or whatnot) for different tasks, and tended to have both of them on his belt, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice. Both weapons together are known as "daisho," meaning short+long together.
Sorta like how European knights might have a longrange weapon and a shortrange, close-quarters weapon, yanno?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisho
As you can see, a daisho is displayed together on a stand for both swords + scabbards.
I wouldn't mind if they would do so, as I like the Celtics (but of course not as much as I like the Pistons ;) ). And I really REALLY don't like the Lakers. They look kinda silly in their yellow/purple dresses anyway... ^^
Heh. So this was your second best result after the Pistons winning. That's good.
Didn't knew him, watched the few movies aviable on youtube... and it's funny! :D
Cool! Damn straight he's funny. #;-}>
But if german actors get a role in a Hollywood movie, it's most likely the role of the "bad guy" (Like Gerd Fröbe in Goldfinger).
Hm.... you may have me there, as I can't think of any German actors who appear in Hollywood films constantly as a good guy... but then again, I can't think of too many offhand that play mostly bad guys, either. Typecasting may suck, but it's better than no-casting. #;-}>
You're right, I guess: "Watch out! Here comes the Spider-Maaaan!" ;)
Yeah... Achtung, bad guys. #;-}>
But I tend to think that Nazi-stereotypes are more common in the english speaking world. It's just my experience from surfing the web and chatting with people from all around the world.
Well... time heals wounds slowly, alas.
Also, some friends of mine were in the USA for a student exchange and they were asked a lot of really silly questions like: "Do you still celebrate Hitler's birthday?" and similar questions.
Oh lord. :::rolling of teh eyes:::
"Does your government forces you to eat sauerkraut every day?"
:::ignores stupid stereotypes and ignorant things... save one::: Mmm... sauerkraut...
Of course I know that stupidity is a "global problem" and that you can be asked those kind of dumb questions in every country, but it fits in very well with the stereotype that US-Americans don't know shit about the world. ^^
Yes, well... stereotyping in both directions is no good, so... it has to end somewhere. The end has to start with someone. If the stupid Americans won't start stopping, then it's up to the less stupid Europeans. #;-}>

Well, then it's clearly due to me pasting in larger than the 8k limit messages from notepad into a posting window, and then trying to correct it by editing in notepad and pasting a smaller chunk over the top of the old chunk. Something's getting fucked in the process. I've started hitting back on the browser tab, to get back to the topic, and clicking open a fresh posting page before putting the smaller chunk in place. Seems to be working so far, but let me know if I slip again.
To me, THEY LOOK LIKE FUCKING SWORDS!!

Shame. He should celebrate Censorship Day.
Yes. He could be the mascot for it.
It was some actor as the Pope!
... well DUH. #;-}> I meant I didn't know that was supposed to be teh fictional Pope character. Sheesh.
You know, England's religious comedies would be far less interesting if it wasn't for Henry the 8th and his whole changing the future history of a nation and its colonies for HUNDREDS OF YEARS because he couldn't handle being married to one woman and not immediately having a male heir.
Crazy fun-loving bastich.
Yes, because one line of the lyrics said so.
That makes me even sadder. ;_;
Anyway... I caved in and wiki'ed the song + looked up the lyrics... the song's from 1978. I don't think Queen woulda made the same song say... in 1985. They were probably reacting to the pop culture wave in the immediate aftermath of the 1977 release of Star Wars. Also, Freddie sings he doesn't want anything to do with Jaws or Frankenstein or a whole buncha other pop culturey things. But only in comparison to teh JOY THAT IS TEH BICYCLE. Not that these things are bad in and of themselves... just relative/compared to BICYCLING.
Yep, so you can blame the excessive amount of Star Wars jokes for that.
Goddamn those fucking Simpsons parodic moments for ruining everything. ;_;
You do not want to know what I thought about Star Wars when I was a kid.
I stopped liking Star Wars around 1986 or so, but started again in 1993 and haven't stopped since.
I'll reach 30k EXP on 17th December 2012, which is 4 days before that supposedly end of the world. So I better not miss more than three deposits if that 21/12/2012 end of the world bullshit will happen.
Only 1.5 years behind me or so, eh? Not so bad. #;-}>
The Mayan calendar ends in December 2012, that doesn't mean they thought the world would end then. Just means they were waiting to plan further calendar-y-ness till later... and then got wiped out, so they never got to do so. ;_;
That's right. It's for the icon. It's a great axe and is the old-level 21 of the redesign (well, close enough).
Yep. That makes it far more tolerable than if level 36's icon and it were swapped. Then I'd hate 37 even more and like 36 a lot more. #;-}>
There's a chance I may not be able to get there. Why? Because of the amount of active depositers right in front of me, especially those who haven't missed a deposit in ages.
Like Recon recently said... there was a day he thought he'd never get past all those active depositers in front of him. But he's on the verge of doing so, and then me... who missed nearly 3 years of deposits... then it's my turn. #;-}>

Gnomes should not be allowed - even Dungeons & Dragons have reclassified them as monsters :P
What's your Paladin specced to?? And you leave gnomes alone, anyone that's that small and powerful deserves respect. Hitler, Napoleon etc :S

There are few guarantees in every day of your life, but that's one of 'em... even the day you were born and the day you die
(unless you die within seconds/minutes of midnight, I suppose)...
Also our greatest design flaw, everytime we breath we age, so in fact it's just a testament to the fact we're mortal :P
Ah no you see where I come from the use of english is used at a bare minimum. And some people don't even understandHuh? Where you're from in Ireland English is used at a bare minimum? I was under the impression from watching documentaries and so forth that areas of Ireland that even speak Irish at all (let alone primarily) were few and far between...
the things I say. Like for example, giving directions and using the word VIA, they didn't have a clue :/
No you got it, but there's like 0.01% of people in Ireland only speak Irish. English is the language we speak, but not many people have a very good grasp of the language at all. With my mother having to dumb down her language around people here because she's from england
Maybe I misinterpreted you. Now, via... there's some pure Latinate, pure Romantic-language-derived English. There are, of course, so many types of English words... as Haggard and I have discussed many times in other threads. #;-}>
Yeah I know, that's why the language is so difficult to learn, because it doesn't really make sense :P
FINE I WILL, EVENTUALLY :PWHERE ARE YOU. COME BACK.
EH I KEEP TAKING DAYS OFF :/
Yeah that is weird, are you sure its not a girls bike :P and why do bikes even have bells, yelling is much more effectiveFor when your voice is out?
P
Lol, eh to get people to move :P

That seems really silly to me.
Firefox 2 also sucks. :P
Oh yeah, double post, one hour later...
I forgot to add to my previous post that I recieved a PM from NintendoMadness yesterday (obviously he read my review I left for Bahamut's "favorite PMs"-flash, where I wondered where NM is at the moment ^^)
Here's what he wrote: "I pretty much have too much to do in RL to go on NG anymore. I still look at flashes and reviews now and then. yuo can tell the guys I don't have enough time to other stuff. I'm writing this real quikc. 'Cos I gotta' go study.
So tell the guys i said Bye. :3"
Just wanted to tell you. ;)

At least he's still alive ;P
I wondered what happened to him, actually. Had a conversation with Bahamut about where he may be... So... am I still considered 'one of the guys', even though I don't make lists here anymore? ;_;
DON'T REJECT ME

OMG. I'm gonna post the MOST OBSCURE ACHIEVEMENT I POSSIBLY CAN in teh LUL... just for LULZ.
Good thing I'm not a noob, or else I'd catch all kinds of hell for this. And you know it.
(cough)
Ahem, ahem...
Rank: Sup. Commander
Blams: 36,000
Saves: 27,692
Rank #: 21
As I noticed on NG Log the other day, my b/p ratio is almost to 1.300... it was 1.301 yesterday, I think it was... and today it said it was 1.300 when I logged my data with 27,690 saves.
But actually (it was rounding):
36000 / 27692 = 1.3000144446... etc.
When my next save ticks over momentarily... we'll have... my MOST POINTLESS ACHIEVEMENT EVAR:
36000 / 27693 = 1.2999675008!
WOOT! BLAM/SAVE RATIO UNDER 1.3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FTW.
(for those not paying attention, my overall goal on NG ever since I hit 10,000 posts is solely to reduce my blam/save ratio from 1.5, which is what it was at when I was retired for 1.5 years (COINCIDENCE?) at 36,000/24,000.... to a perfect 1 (at 36,000/36,000)... so there's your context)
I just realised this is way more of a math nerd joke than a NG statwhore joke. Oh well.
