its own tv station. I mean it wouldn't be THAT hard for shows. just get permission from the authors and re-animate them to make them longer. Plus, lots of people who love newgrounds (who doesn't) would love it too. i know i would...

thats not an original idea.
1. newgrounds doesnt have enough [quality] content to warrent its own television show let alone a channel.
2. newgrounds doesnt have the financial support.
3. chris jericho is already taken to do the ebaums tv show :(

Now, it may be in line with the new layout to have both PM contact and email contact available, but for now it's a little frustrating to HAVE to get all NG correspondance via PM instead of email.

This is what I've been begging for since the PM system was released! I also think you should have the option of attaching your BBS signature in every PM message you send.

Also: another idea I had would be for the option to have your sig-pic link to your email address. I just think that'd be cool, since I have nothing else I'd like to link to.

mailto:"email@address.com" ? I don't think that would work though.

I have two suggestions that could be useful.

SUGGESTION 1:

I swear, that a new reviewing ruleneeds to be introduced.

I respond to every review that I recieve and there is an unbelievably stupid ammout of people that use the review space to ask the author questions, they may not even necessarily be about the movie they're reviewing, but another movie!

A new rule should be introduced, stating that the review space must not be used for the sole purpose of asking the author questions (as this can easily be done with the PM system instead now.)

Here's a shining example of a review that offends, by Blaze_heatnix.

http://www.newground..review.php?id=219100

SUGGESTION 2

A simple suggestion, be able to link to a single review, often when linked to a review, that particular review may have been knocked off the page with new reviews on that submission or by that author.

It should be simple enough, all it should take would be to take the reviews ID number (in the case of the last review, 5820495, and use that to provide a PHP link like any other review pages.

That's covered under rules number 1, 2 and 3.

Stay on the topic of the submission

Take your time and write a sincere review for every movie you wish to critique. Make sure your review is relative to the submission. Reviews that are found to offer no benefit to the author maybe deleted.

Stick to reviewing the movies

It just got updated today >_>

You can now choose to submit flashes to the tutorials collection page. If an admin agrees it belongs there, then they'll place it on the page.

Could we have comments on your profile. Maybe rating on a profile? Of course you could flag these or delete these, and maybe a cap on coments to a user (I'm thinking chluaid). And you could comment on the comments. I just feel It would add to the community.

I suggest ban messages could have an applet countdowns like on time and date. When it reaches zero, it could say "BAN LIFTED" or something.

I dont agree, the other flash forum (art i guess) would probably just get spammed up, or not used. The good thing about having it all in one is alot more people will be active there.

Nah, the thing I really like about NG's forum is the simplicity in the layout. For example the signatures, if people had them attatched, some didnt the topic would feel less organized, like when your scrolling down you stop when you see the sig of the person you are looking for and so on.

Shouldn't actionscript questions get asked in the programming forum anyway?

God I hope this isn't a stupid idea. What about a front page award? There are some great flash movies that make it to front page but never win any awards. Plus, it might be a good way to keep track of front page flash movies and make a new category in the flash portal when you're searching for flash movies "Past front-pagers". Just wondering if that would work.

nope, my guess would be somewere around 75%

An ActionScript Forum would keep the Flash Forum clean.

Yes but then the flash section would be filled up with collabs and lots of "how to improve my noobie art" threads.

Most of the flash regs there are action script geniuses who has some funny sence of humour that makes the flash forum a funny place to visit. I don't want them to leave the flash forum. So if James creates an AS forum then all the coders will leave the flash forum and the flash forum will become as inactive as the audio forum. Many flash regs who focus on art will probably also leave due to the inactivity too.

Don't forget that it's easier for the artists and the coders to start games togheter and know each others qualities if they visit the same forum.

Dear YouArePerfection,

I DON'T MEAN A FRONT PAGE ARCHIVE, I ALREADY KNEW THAT WAS THERE. I mean an award for hitting the front page. You know, look below the PLAY THIS MOVIE thing and see the portal awards, and you'd see a front page award icon, that kind of thing.

I think the "HELP/FAQ" should be in the "Where is/how to? "subforum.
There are lately a lot of questions like " How do I deposit my exp points", "How do I blam" etc.
Maybe it helped if they putted the faq there and there is a higher chance that people would read it.

I doubt it... You wouldn't belive how many new artists in the flash forum misses that "New to flash? Read this first!" link, next to that green flashing tank.

If you check the reviews for one of your submissions before it has recieved any reviews, you get the message 'Error - no movie with that ID exists in the database. It has either been deleted, or never existed at all. Please go back and try again.'.

That message is rather misleading, the old message where it stated that the submission hadn't recieved any reviews should be there instead.

That is odd. :o

I've also noticed that reviews that are written for flash that end up Marked for Admin Review remain in your profile. It would make more sense to keep those hidden until the flash is deleted/cleared.

It's because of the change with responding reviews. Instead of going to the respond to reviews page, you go to the normal page for viewing a submission's reviews. It got fixed so that you can see the reviews for your submission while it's under judgement. But obviously this hasn't been corrected.

They should just keep the respond to reviews link if you respond to reviews via 'Account Options'. Since the only reason it got changed was so that if the author reads through the reviews via the page for the Flash they're more likely to respond since it will be easier for them to know how.

If the author knows you can respond via account options, there's no need for the submission's reviews link to be in place. Unless of course the admins don't wish you to see the review banned users' reviews for your submissions. But then since it's for your submission, I feel you should be able to read the reviews left by them.

If you're talking about Sunshine Ep.30 it autospawned a pop-up window which led to your website.

"This movie is malicious (e.g. auto-spawns pop-up windows, multiple submission)" Use this option if an entry has malicious intent, such as spawning pop-ups to other sites automatically, trying to run a script or interact with your computer in a malicious way, or was submitted repeatedly after being BLAMMED with no effort made to improve the entry. After blowing this whistle you will also be asked to leave a comment describing what malicious acts the entry committed.

Right next to the INBOX button, there could be a bold yellow number to represent any new messages. Like, "[INBOX] 2" for 2 new messages.

Well, in the PM system, what about a Mass-Mailing system, like, PM all your friends saying, that you'll be on vacation thus not online for some time.

Or, still recieve (I don't know if you can't receive PM's from blocked people, if so, forget this one) PM's from blocked people, if you still want to read them.

And get whistle points for "reviewing" PM's (abusive or helpfull).

These are some ideas i thought up.

The whole idea of blocking someone is so that, that person can't send you private messages. That is all blocking somebody does.

If you still want to read private messages from someone, you just don't block them. Simple as that.

New collections ideas:

1. We could have a collection for animutations. There are a lot out there and I think they're own collection would suit them.

2. There's been Radiohead and Slipknot collections. Why not make System of a Down one? I've seen quite a few flashes using some of they're songs.
