Maybe have [b] for bold instead of having to click bold and then that box come up (i didn't know what to do) because let's say u have something u want in both bold and italics and underlined (or 2 of the 3).

Like let's say u have:
.................. and u want it to do this ........... do u click bold type in "and u want it do this" and it bolds that, then u type underlined, and do the same, and then italics and the same.
Cuz I'm REALLY confused....

lol, you obviously haven't seen liljim's giant "THERE WILL BE NO FUCKING EDIT BUTTON" pictures yet. Newgrounds forums are too big to allow editing or deleting posts.He's explained it in detail before, but short version...there's simply too much potential for spammers/idiots to abuse it. It's not that hard to re-read your post, and if you feel a post of yours needs to be deleted, you shouldn't have posted it in the first place.
Suggestion that I bet has been suggested before...when you vote on an audio portal entry that you've already voted on, it says, for example:
Error - it looks like you have already voted on Golden Sun 2 (Credits Remix) today!
...even though I voted on that like, a month ago. That message implies you can vote on an audio entry once each day. It'd be pretty easy to just say "you can only vote once on each audio entry" instead, I reckon.

Do you mean ads? Ads are vital to run Newgrounds. If you like NG the way it is now, totally free, you can handle seeing ads. Maybe click on a couple a day, even, as that helps make more money for Newgrounds.

To easily bold is simple. Example:
(b)Text you want bolded here(/b)
With < and > brackets instead of parentheses. For italics, replace the "b" with "i", and "u" for underline.

i dunno if this has been sugested yet but i think that if we had a way of being alerted by email of replys to posts in threads would be good?

I've got a good idea, useful for long threads like php: main. If the thread number is -1 it will open the last page of the topic. It's handy and we don't need to use a lot of nines.

Think about it:
A lot of people visit threads, made by popular people, right?
So check a thread, made by an admin, and add important news to the equation.
That will equal, a huge number of views, by the users. So huge, the number would probably be hard to count, and everything could go haywire.
But yeah, I think you get the point.

You don't get viruses from clicking on web banners. Your friend must've gotten the virus elsewhere. Besides, viruses usually activate immediately, and not 3 days later.

It is not NGs fault that your friend left a browser window open and unattended. If you do indeed find ads that have malicious content in them, get this information in order:
First and foremost, make absolutely sure it was an ad here. If your friend's siblings were messing on the computer, who KNOWS what they did.
- Exactly which ad has the spyware attached to it, including the url of the ad.
- What spyware it is.
Then, open your email and compose a message including all pertinent info. Try to be professional. Leave the swearing out, and be calm and collected.
Enter "Newgrounds Help - Spyware in Ads" in the subject line.
Send it to Tom. His email is tom@newgrounds.com. He takes things like this seriously, so please make sure that all of your information is correct, and that no assumptions have been made.

So are you saying that your initial assumption that it was a NG ad was wrong, and that you flew off the handle for no real good reason?
I'm trying to clarify, since your posts don't make much sense.
I'm saying, that ad has a virus, some people might actualy believe it and click it, and get all that junk and destroy they're pc.
I'm not saying that it was NG's fault, I'm not blaming any site, just saying please get rid of it cuz it has a virus.

On reviews, wouldn't it be better to conceal the amount of people who rated a review abusive or unhelpful? Its like with subissions under judgement. People can use the amount of people rating it abusive to decide whether or not to rate it abusive for themselves, and this can mean that they are kind of abusing the system.
The stats could still be visible for the author of the flash, the person who wrote the review, and various high power people, but normal users would have to use their own initiative to find abusive reviews.
maybe a top 100 of newgrounds artists?

Be able to write more than 1 review for a certain game/movie, but only once per day, or something.

I was thinking for "long-term" bans on the BBS. that when you get banned for a long time that the person who is banned can't make a new account from his/her PC.
also this should be done for all bans aswell maybe.
In audio portal, when you're looking at A LOT of submissions by a single artist, wouldn't it be great to have a little NG player that let's you play all of the submissions in order, without you manually having to press on each and every submission?
Some sort of a "play all" function in other words.
If you stretch the idea of an NG player, then pherhaps you can implement it to play all high scoring submissions either by gender or random as well. It sertainly would be an interresting feature to have, espesially now that NG is being optimized towards PSP and DS, if you know what I'm saying.

Some authors ask for their work to be deleted, especially some that pass judgement and have good scores. All deleted stuff gets sent to the graveyard. The top of the graveyard says "This submission was BLAMMED by our users." But stuff that gets requested for deletion isn't blammed. My idea is to have two sections. The graveyard for blammed items, and a "retirement home" of sorts for deleted (retired) submissions.
50% of all statistics are made up 90% of the time.
How about a Science & Technology forum? Like a forum where you can discuss astronomy, archeology, physics, biology, evolution, chemistry, lastest technological breakthroughs etc.
I'd think it would be more interesting than the politics forum. I mean how many kids here are interested in politics? Yet I'm sure many might have science-related questions and can learn a lot from discussing it with fellow Newgrounders who also have an interest in science.
I think it's about time that there be a "Doom" collection, here on NG. The reason for this is for the many entries that involve "Doom" (including some of my own) that are wondering newgrounds only to be found in the "search NG!" option. Many of them are quality entries that have been done with alot of effort and dedictaion such as "The Doom Project", "Dumbass Doom", "Doom: the traitor" and many others, though we find the typical crappy entries, as well.
I write this in hope that Tom or Wade or anyone with administrative privileages to consider this idea because we all know that there are many Doom lovers, like myself, that visit Newrounds.com regularly and would love to see a collection full of movies on a classic game. Of course, Doom haters have and will rise but every collection has their own haters: "The Clock Crew", "Glock Group", "Lock Legion", and countless others.
I think the top 100 artists would be a good idea, as I can't find any of the old stuff I like.
