I'm so sick and tired of carrying around an HM slave or two. It really gets annoying.

Is there a way to get stat boost items in Black & White quickly? I only have one Macho brace, and I'm training an entire party, so juggling it back and forth between pokemon gets tiresome.

I'm training up a party of my favorites from past generations. Not necessarily the strongest, but I want to see how good I can do with my top bros.

I'm thinking of who could round this out, and I might take out Gallade. I was thinking Druddigon. I'm not planning on a 100 battle streak on Wifi, but I do want to kick my friend's ass. Victini might fit in here, but it's a legendary.
Armaldo has always given my foes fits, mainly because I always train them especially we.. The bug-type characteristic makes them level up quickly, and I bred them for a while in Diamond. I usually give them rock blast or stealth rock.
For training, I keep Emboar in my party at all times, because it's the strongest I have in terms of sheer power, and has saved me from getting my butt kicked on numerous occasions.

I really need to work on the movesets of Armaldo and Nidoking the most.

Yeah, screw it, I guess I'll be jumping in on this club. Aside from having played at least one of all the main series games aside from D/P/Pt, I figure I could jump in to get more likely access to things such as Duskull and whatnot, as opposed to making requests in the topic that's in the video games forum.

Also started another game on Pokemon White. It was a hard choice, I had a shiny shaymin, Quagsire, Golem, and a few others. And all my Diamond and SS pokemon. Collectivly around 300hours of pokemon. Gone. But none were really EV trained or anything, and my router wount connect to my DS so I cant trade em online anyway. Got a Thoh (Blue guy), Klink, Vannish, Unfeazent, Serperior (1st stage) and I'll get a frillish when I can, I think I can get one soon. Just at Celestrial tower now, doing some serious grinding to evolve 'em all. Klink is a right pain.

I haven't gotten back to playing my SS or Platinum yet; been too distracted by my other game selection, and might continue to be for a while.

I'm a little unsure about buying BW yet, too. EV training will be a bitch w/o Berries in-game, so why bother atm? I may as well wait until they make them available somehow before I make the purchase. It's too stressful trying to EV train while simultaneously trying to play through the story, assuming one wants to EV train those that you're using to get through it.

Speaking of which, what I would do is take someone I need to train, infect them with the Pokerus, jack them up on the proper EV medicines, give them the proper EV training band, and I'm down to fighting just up to 15 guys to max out the proper EV.

That's really not the issue; the issue is not having the EV-lowering Berries available, which means that, if you wanted to EV train a mon you were going to play through the game with, you'd have to play through & EV train simultaneously - which I've quickly learned is a major bitch.

Although I'll take you up on that Pokerus offer, though. :P

When I play with friends, I just use my in-game team, but if I play WiFi with internet strangers, then yes, I follow Smogon's rules.

I haven't played wifi before, but I intend to go by the Smogon tiering just because they seem to know their shit; not like anyone's forced to follow their rules, either. They just happen to take note of a lot of things, and try to literally level the playing field the best they can.

Must be that even with near-similar typing, huge sweeping potential, & intimidate, there are just much more things capable of countering him this generation.

It's Glides, the creator the self-proclaimed "most famous club on Newgrounds," The Cynical Corner, where you can bitch about life's problems and what not. But I feel like it's time to expand, and I've decided to revive this club since my version got banned for being unoriginal. I learned a lot from the creation of my last topic, so it's going to be a wee bit more organized here. Several rules are now applicable:
1. Only Pokemon related topics (anime, video games, etc.) are allowed.
2. Whatever you talk about here will be, at the very least, something that everyone else can read. Meaning no text-speak, no racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, what have you.
3. This worked out pretty well in the past, so I'm going to bring back the ranking system. Being the founder, and because I have an intermediate knowledge of Pokemon, that makes me the Pokemon Master. The first four to respond become the Elite Four, the next eight Gym Leaders, and I'll figure more out from there. But if you want one of those positions, you gotta say so, and tell me how you qualify.
4. That goes for everyone in the "Pika Platoon". Tell me some basics, like what's your favorite Pokemon, do you use that one in the games, the strongest you've ever captured, something like that.
If this does well, I'll start up some more clubs and see how they do.

Don't know enough about it to know if I should be excited or not. I'm a bit confused as to why there's a sequel. Why not make a sort of open world game where you can travel to all the regions, and gym battles aren't required to advance?

Would more than likely consume too much time trying to connect all the regions and would likely be very large in file size for the Nintendo DS or even 3DS.

Well the way I think of it is, it wouldn't be a linear progress like the other ones have been, you could literally go anywhere, use a ship to travel to the different regions, kind of like Skyrim, but with Pokemon. The battles would be mostly the same, but they wouldn't just sit there, you'd directly control where the attack went instead of simply giving commands. And there would be a far better story. Stuff like that, and it could be on the Wii U if it's too large.

Sucking out the soul of those looking on it's back...guess the trainer who owns the Pokemon is exempt? Not to mention how when you have that Pokemon use a certain attack that drains the opponent's HP, the energy goes into the hole on it's back.

I find it fun using Shedinja because when battling against high level Pokemon with attacks that are not super effective, the battle becomes long and drawn out with the low level husk coming out as a winner. Hey, at least it has a conclusion unlike Magikarp and Metapod.

I learned one thing from Metapod, and capturing one in Pokemon LeafGreen: always evolve your Caterpie. Obvious advice to you guys, but at the age of ten, how was I supposed to know that capturing a Metapod is only slightly better than capturing a Magikarp. Although my Red Gyarados in both Crystal and SoulSilver versions is one of my favorite Pokemon.

So here's a question: what's your favorite Pokemon that you have captured/traded/hatched in a game, and why? Mine's a Pikachu, I literally trained him to level 65. Not much of an accomplishment, but he's never lost a battle.

Like Parasect being the result of that mushroom on its previous forms' back taking over the insect host's brain.......which is based on an actual goddamn mushroom that does that, which makes it more disturbing.......

Hopefully Elite Four members of other regions and champions can also be challenged. Although I feel it was already hinted at in Black and White since Jasmine appears in the last city before the Indigo Plateau. Then Cynthia will challenge you to a battle in the Summer.

Yes, it is a very well done trailer. My real question is what happen to cover the region in ice in only 2 years.

Where did you hear that? Given i havent heard too much about this game yet because i havent been keeping up as much lately, but it sounds a little far-fetched(lol farfetch'd) that you would be able to fight any gym leader from any region. I mean, how are they going to implement it?

Minor complaints, I know. But I've always liked the games way more. I might be the only one who has SoulSilver as my favorite.
