Nice work. The silver print is something at least.

Anyway what pokemon will she have when you battle her for the gold print?

All the info you need here. Personally, if I get up to her, I think I'm gonna find her a fair bit easier than the first time around - Since I generally have Latios out first, I'll just use Ice Beam on Zapdos, Psychic on Blaziken and Thunderbolt/Ice Beam on Togekiss. If I don't have any negative effects, I should be set.

It was in Crystal. I got a shiny Smoochum from an egg (the one you get early in the game).
I think it might still be possible.

Anybody know what's a good fighting type move I can teach to my Toxicroak?
I came up with only two fighting type moves that I think are good, Dynamic Punch and Focus Punch.
Please tell me what's better, or tell me a different fighting type move.
(Don't say Cross Chop, cuz I won't be able to let it learn it since it's an egg move of Croagunk)

Uh, neither. They're both pretty shitty, unless you're using a substitute-focus punch strategy.

You can always go the Brick Break route - decently strong, good accuracy, plus the bonus of taking down Reflect and Light Screen. I really don't think there are any good alternatives to be honest.

I've finally broke out my LeafGreen Version for the first time in roughly 2 years. Not going to attempt my Ruby Version until I can get a 2nd GBA - need a new one anyway. (Y'know, so I can rid it of the retarded Berry Glitch shit....)

I may as well build up for Platinum or HGSS, since it'll be some time before I can even get my hands on a DS.

I finally got a silver print from the battle tower, but my team got knocked out by a
Double Team- Swagger Skuntank.

Now I'm heading out to the Battle Castle. So, anybody have good advice?

Dunno... just conserve your points as best you can. I personally always sneak a peak at the opponent's pokemon. If you see one that's almost definitely going to go down in one hit from one of your team, I generally will boost their level, since it will net you more points in the end. But don't be shy of healing, taking a risk just to gain more points is hardly worth it if you lose.

So anyway guys, do I still need defog? I've already made my way to the city in the north in the snow. Will I ever need to use defog again, at least, in a place where I want my full team present? Staravia hungers for a real move. It's bad enough that it needs to know fly.

Yes, you do. There's an area of Mt. Coronet that's full of fog (where you can catch Feebas, supposedly). Also, after you beat the Elite Four (Shitennou in the Japanese version), there's a segment of Victory Road (Champion Road) that's all fogged up. (It's the path to Route 224 and Shaymin.)

Do you have an Action Replay? That works. (Plus, you can get Natu and other Pokémon that can't be found anywhere else on Route 224.)

Ugh why is giratina being such a whore :(

I got him down to about two pixels of health, paralyzed him, and spammed ultra balls and i still cant capture him. Dis shiit is gey. Pity I didn't really prepare, I've only got 1 timer ball with me and a dozen ultra balls. I don't want to waste my master ball but I cant cope with this much more. D:

All battles with legendaries inevitably devolve into feeble prayers to the Random Number God.

But you know what's worse than the legendary healing itself over and over?

WHEN YOU'VE GOT THEM DOWN TO 1 HP AND PARALYZED THEM, BUT THE BATTLE GOES ON SO LONG THAT THEY RUN OUT OF POWER POINTS AND KILL THEMSELVES WITH STRUGGLE.

I'm sure we've all been there before. You can't even be a smartass and use a Ghost-type to evade it, since Struggle works on them anyway.

Oh geez, I know that one too well. Giratina took that route several times before I got sick of the prick and just used my MasterBall.

Struggle isn't a normal type move. It's typeless. And it hits everything neutrally.

Is it of the same type as Curse, or is that completely different?

Well, according to Serebii,Struggle is a normal type move, while Curse is that ??? type.

So,if Struggle does hit Ghosts(I wouldn't know,it never happened to me.),then it shouldn't be a Normal type move,right?

Serebii is powered by user input. It's not always right.

It doesn't have a type, as far as I'm concerned.
You can use it against any type and it won't be hindered by strengths or weaknesses.

I learned this by trial and error.

Well, Curse is effectively typeless as well. From a programming point of view, I'd say that the variable that holds the type can't be null if it wants to do anything, so I'd assume that it would be the Curse type. Unless Struggle has its own type as well.

Also, Arceus has a Curse-type form. I'd probably say that would mean that they took into account every type when programming that ability, regardless of whether it was possible or not.

Of course, struggle's 'type' doesn't actually appear in-game, while Curse's '???' type does. So I guess we won't actually ever know unless someone asks one of the programmers at Game Freak.

Nah, Secret Power is different to Hidden Power. Hidden Power's type and power varies with the IVs of the Pokemon using it, whereas Secret Power has a constant power and type or 70 and Normal, but a varying extra 'effect' (Paralysis, sleep, poison, lowering accuracy etc) depending on the terrain it's used on.
