Easy choice. Literally no contest. Game received a remaster that stunk but the original on pc, ps2 and gamecube is a classic to me. Going around Europe to beat the shit out of a massive roman army never ceases to amuse me. I love it as much as the comics the game is based off of.

This sucks.

THIS ONE IS A BANGER !!

but the remake is a bit disapointing. :'( (low FPS for a beat them up, a shame, + Bad graphics, only the music is better)

IF i had to say another game i'll go with the Simpsons Hit & Run (someone probably say it before)

I will have to disagree on the topic of music. I feel the original ost is way way better at selling the vibe of the game. Helps make every slap and combo impactful, especially the opening track in Gaul. The ost helps sell how bigger this adventure is than anything else asterix and obelix have gone through, how almost impossible the fights should feel despite how powerful the two are(in the same way how the new doom games add music not for the enemies but more for you as if you are the boss fight) and in general it fits the twos kinda barbaric vibe with all the primitive sounding instruments and very rough techno instruments added in.

Simpsons hit and run definitely deserves a second chance. A GTA game in the Simpsons universe sounds perfect to me and I'm shocked they didn't make more of those.

This sucks.

In fairness, Hit & Run was made as a response to how much hype GTA III was getting at the time. So I don't think they could replicate the same game in springfield with vice city.

Firstly, I have very fond memories of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project on NES. Me and my friend made it one time 3/4ths of the way to the end of the game, I really should finish it for real sometime.

For non animated works, I really liked sam & max: hit the road for DOS/Windows on the SCUMM engine. Despite having to tone down the jokes and dialogue, it still gets pretty witty at times.

Note, this licensed work doesn't need to be animated, it can be for a live action show or comic book, just has to be a licensed game for a non game work.

Transformers prime. Mid ass story, bad controls on ds, but very high quality. Boss's are fun too. Rise of the darkspark is decent, though definitely abhorent compared to stuff like fall and war of cybertron. Cars 2 I heard was good too, though that might've been for 3.

Made a 2nd post since I thought you meant movie tie ins. The arkham series. Despite playing only asylum and origins both are really fun! Origins is my favorite so far due to the banger christmas theme and story, also bossfights. War for cybertron ds is actually good(looks amazing for a ds game, has a good story, and fun gameplay for a 3d game on ds). The final boss against omega supreme was fire, though it wasn't really like the rest of the game. I remember the starwars game by obsidian was good, though of course buggy beyond belief.

This game is insanely ambitious and while it's not perfect it's really impressive that they were able to get an open world action game like this to be so big and expansive with hardly any loading screens aside from internal areas like houses. It's even better at rendering it's open world than Jak and Daxter or GTA3; it's seriously crazy work. It essentially plays like a weird Zelda clone with an open world and elemental weakness system with 2 playable characters and a lengthy campaign with side quests to boot, this is the real deal and it even has some dungeons in it that'll have you parading around looking at your map. Huge game but it is a bit buggy and the combat could be better taught to the player as you might get destroyed by enemies partway through without a good grasp on how motes work. iu_1397209_16228224.webp

San Andreas for comparison, had 3 massive cities to sprawl in. Only loading screens entering buildings.

Toy Story 3 is a really fun game, I prefer the xbox 360 version BUT I know the wii and ds versions are also just as fun

San Andreas also had pop-in and intense fog for it's rendering while this game has hardly any and looks pretty seamless. That's not a dig at San Andreas I love the game it's just that this game is more technically impressive for it's time to me.

The Cars games made by THQ (the first one, Mater-National & Race-O-Rama) on 6th-7th gen home console have always been my favorite licensed games. The simple but fun racing gameplay, the open-world, the music, the different modes and content, etc. Just a nice trilogy to play even if they are few nitpicks like the easy difficulty or the recurrence of bugs and low frame rates with Race-O-Rama on the Wii.

I can think of a few: X-Men Origins: Wolverine uncaged edition (better than the movie), Kung Fu Panda, Transformers Battle for Cybertron, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Thor God of Thunder (DS version) and Batman Arkham Asylum

Speaking of that, the GBA version was a wizardry they pulled off. It looks and plays like a PS1 era platformer, but it's on the GBA.

Yeah it's pretty bizarre. I think it's a little clunky considering it's a 3d platformer on the gba but shit man its 3d on a gba, that's impressive on it's own. I've hardly seen any of those kinda 3d action platformers on the ds and then to see it on a console before it is kinda crazy. Music ain't bad either.

Chicken Run on sega dreamcast. It was similar to metal gear solid. But I think more difficult. Reason why I could never finish it from the 2nd to last level, you had to construct the plane and at the same time, keep rocky happy with his bubble path. That cunt wasn't even in this part of the movie, what the fuck was he doing here?

iu_1405764_20436071.webp

But all in all, it was fun and pretty good, worth a replay if you get the chance to play it.

I mentioned Bucky O'Hare had an NES game that is excellent, but Konami also made a sort of isometric run n gun for it in the arcades that felt like playing the actual cartoon. The graphics could stand to have been a little better, more akin to their Metamorphic Force, but I understand what they were going for with the hardware of the time. It's a really fun game.
