Friday, June 6th will be the first ever Low Poly Day on Newgrounds!
Low Poly art is essentially 3D art made with a low number of polygons. Some artists make hi-resolution low poly art with smooth edges, while others work with lower resolution, more in the style of PlayStation 1-2 games. Either is fine for this event!
We’re celebrating Low Poly Day with categories for art, movies, games and music, much like we do with Pixel Day each year.
Publish your entry on June 6th and include the "lowpolyday2025" tag to participate in the festivities.
If your work is making its world premier on Low Poly Day, you are eligible for our prize competition! Include a second tag, "lowpolyday2025-compo" to confirm it is a world premier piece and is competing for a prize. If you are sharing something you've already posted elsewhere, stick with just the lowpolyday2025 tag.
If you’ve never shared your work on NG, we’d love to see you join in! You can enter multiple categories or submit multiple entries. You can also team up with friends to make stuff.
Fan art is fine, if the art is your own original work and not models ripped from games.
If you’re making a movie or game, try partnering with a musician on NG! We can’t host content with unlicensed commercial music, so avoid using songs you don’t have permission to use. Here are some music resources.

I gotta say, not a ton of examples came to mind on NG but low poly is great for web games because it’s performant and can download quickly. I’d love to see more people give it a try! Also is this Dad ‘n Me game too high-poly in some cases to be an ideal example?

Think Y2K techno / jungle / drum ‘n bass, with high intensity video game music you might hear in a cool PS1 game.
