I think I'm only just gonna get me a pair of them new Joycons and call it a day. If they're gonna work as easily on PC as the old ones do.

There were a lot of very neat things in the last Direct, but way too many things stuffed behind their stupid subscription.

Like, graphical updates for the Zelda games on the new device, neat! Right!?

But you're gonna have to pay for the game again, or get a subscription.

So... nevermind about that.

Voice and video -chat functionality. I can do that with other devices already, but the feature seemed to look like a nice step forward.

But also a subscription feature, so a step backwards again. Nevermind!

New pro-controller, basicaly the same as last time, but with a number 2 on it. And came with a headphone-jack built into it...

..

.

..

....

F*CK YEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!!!

Nintendo can really suck on my D for putting so many fun things behind a stupid subscription.

But they do deserve a little lick on the Bs from me, for including a very welcome headphone jack.

An original game FromSoftware is so freaking wild!

I loved the look of Mario Kart World, Kirby Air Riders and Donkey Kong Bananza, but seeing a release year for Silksong is easily the thing that got me the most hyped!

I never really cared too much for Nintendo games/products, so the only thing I can really comment on is that I’m really happy to see that Deltarune is releasing Chapters 3 and 4, and that Silksong actually appeared lol. The price of the console in the U.S seems pretty reasonable to me, but holy fuck those prices for the games dude. I know the economy is really fucked up, but at the same time, I can’t help but feel worried that with Nintendo now pushing $80 USD for some games, that’ll it’ll be the kick for other AAA companies to set the price to 80 or higher.

That being said the only reason I would possibly buy a switch 2 is if the new Fromsoft game is really good, I’m a complete sucker for Bloodborne, and if I’m still interested in Splatoon when the 4th game gets released, which hopefully won’t be for some time (I say this wanting 4 to not have as many hiccups that 3 had in its first year)

This is getting worse and worse lol

fuck I can’t play mother 3 on switch 2 in 4k

I'm more concerned about not being able to play my American/Japanese copies of Switch games on my new console.

I hope the global version is unlocked. They are selling locked/unlocked ones in Japan with a big price difference.

Im glad that there's a new mario Kart and donkey Kong, but I don't feel like spending a kidney on those games.

Besides, I'm more looking forward to deltarune, which is coming out on other systems on a much cheaper price

Genuinely wonder what they'll do with the duo mouse function

Miss these guys like you wouldn't belive rn

Nintendo is huffing jenkem if they think I'm paying those kinds of prices for first-party games that aren't even the real reason I'm even checking for them anymore. Ryujinx 2 will be ethical and justified.

Did you not watch the whole thing? They've made a whole game based around it.

I'm not defending Nintendo's pricing, but let's also not kid ourselves.

It’s giving 3DS prices when it first came out - whether they hike the price down later or not, I predict it’s not gonna sell as well at this price.

The death of the $60 retail game in general has been frustrating to see too

Iwata would've taken a cut to his salary to keep the prices at 60.

Just here to note that no game is priced at 90 dollars yet. It's missinformation going around.

I wish their would be more execs like Iwata in Nintendo, and the rest of the gaming industry.

I'll be completely honest with you... Whether we're getting a price hike or not, the fact that Nintendo games never go down in price is the bigger frustration.

All those 3rd party games are gonna drop down to $30-$40 after a year or two. But I'm confident that DK and Mario Kart are gonna stay full price seven years from now when the Switch 2's successor gets announced.

Have you all forgotten that Mario games go on sale on MAR10 day? So no that statement is not correct. Yes, a lot of Nintendo games don’t go on sale often or at all, but they do put Mario games on sale for MAR10 and once Super Mario Bros’s 40th Anniversary comes around, there will be some temporary price drops for Mario games.

Yeah and then retailers do their own sales at times. Like most first party Switch games here have dropped to 54€ from the original 60€ and that is a permanent price drop in thosw stores. Then from time to time I see them at 40€ or so.

Iwata didn't have to deal with growing inflation or tariffs when he was there, so it wouldn't have mattered if he cut his salary now, the $60 price point ship had sailed away.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Did you guys know that Nintendo used to re-release their top selling games for $20? Not $20 off a regular $60 pricetag. Not $20 but only during the week of Mar10 day. Just $20. In the very least they could've put Mario Kart and Odyssey on sale for Mar10 Day. Sheeeeesh.

Oh I know, I was just fooling around with that comment. Still believe Iwata would have navigated this more smoothly.

See that is the worst fear I have, but I imagine that it will bite them in the ass and lower. Apparently Switch 2 is being lowered to like $436 on Amazon. Still pricey but the prices won't be sustainable long term, esp considering the budget of these games and it'll be more for less.

I hope this doesn't happen but still

Yeah Nintendo Selects. Haven't seen that or Playstation Platinum games in years because neither of those exist anymore.
