Everything looks great and all but just one question…

WHY. THOSE. PRICES?!

Aside from the prices, everything about this direct was amazing! A new Kirby Air ride, the release year of Silksong, the annoucement of chapter 3 and 4 for Delatarune, many ports of AAA games and new info on the new Mario Kart (World) that I can't wait to try. The open-world, the ability to play as a cow, TOAD FACTORY'S BACK! This summer will be epic!

But now for real, this Nintendo Direct got me real hyped. Maybe I'll consider buying my first Switch and Nintendo product in since ever, after I tried to decide back in 2011 between PSP and DS.

Maybe it will be different. Maybe I will experience new gaming excellence with this new generation of games.

Can’t be bothered really buying ns2, the price would probably be off the charts but the direct got me excited. After watching the live direct, I reminded myself I still just have my ns1 and the new games on ns2 would probably be released on ns1 too.

If you want the Console, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, A camera, A pro Controller and you buy two SD cards, it costs around £713.

My Dad was originally gonna pay half but he agreed to pay my little brother’s part so in total my dad is paying $340. So that means I pay $115 which adds up $455 not including taxes

I love how Mario Kart World adds in some of the most random characters, like a cow. Otherwise, it's basically yet another Mario Kart game that is similar to Deluxe aside from a couple of things. Maybe they might add in more characters and tracks via DLC like they have? :)

The new DK game looks solid.

Never expected Kirby Air Riders. I LOVED Kirby Air Ride, but their strongest mode is City Trial and I kinda hope that the game focuses more on the City Trial mechanics. It was fun powering up your vehicles around some city.

Loving the Gamecube Expansion, too! As someone who played Gamecube the most, this is very welcoming. Also very nice that the price didn't increase upon adding that like how they did for the N64 expansion.

The paid upgrade thing is dumb, but thankfully it doesn't have any games that I strongly care for (I don't care for the new style of Zelda games).

Price is pretty steep. I don't think I will be getting the console on Day 1.

The new Mario kart looks so cool, but i think I will wait until they announce a new animal crossing.

The enhanced games will be much welcome, although having to pay for them is not. I hope indie games have better frames for free, I'm tired of so many switch games barely hitting 30fps. Give me 60fps or give me death!

If they have luigis mansion on the virtual console I might preorder to get the gamecube controller. That thing looks so slick.

Personally i think the switch 2 looks good, though i'm still probably gonna hold off on getting it due to the pricing. Theres only really two games i'm excited for on it so far (Mario Kart World because i'm autistic as fuck about this series and the new Donkey Kong, just because it seems really fun. Also to cover my basis i'm happy about Kirby Air Riders i just couldn't get into the original game). And the other games they showed i could just get on my Steam Deck so i'm not really sure if i wanna drop 500 on a console yet. (Especially since online is still gonna be paid meaning there is another expense). Idk maybe if it goes on sa-i'm sorry i couldn't finish that sentence the idea of a nintendo product going on sale for an amount to actually make a difference is funnier than every MCU joke.

So yeah maybe down the line i might pick one up when there is a decent enough exclusive catalog to warrant it, if there are more games that catch my eye and i can potentially get them used so they will be cheaper. (And besides i already have a massive backlog of games i still need to play i don't really need to be adding a whole ass new console into the mix to have new things to play LMAO)

Also i wanna say having what is basically a paid tech demo for your console is diabolical you can't even blame tarrifs or the industry standards for that they absolutely did not need to do that

no dude gaming companies have been trying to raise the price for the past few months this shit has nothing to do with trump. they just know they can get away with making you pay 90 dollars for a mario game

Very mixed feelings.

As a console it looks awesome and has a lot of the problems of Switch 1 fixed and just overall feels a lot better designed. It's stronger and it has loads of unique features to feel more than just Switch but 4k 60fps.

What I do not like is how god damn expensive it is. 470€ console with no games, The Switch 2 Tour game should not be paid but it is at least 20€, Mario Kart World is 80€ and NSO is 50€ a month.

Let's all thank Sony for making paid resolution and FPS boosts the standard with the PS5. Yeah it is very stupid that old game's intentionally run badly if you don't pay.
