Anyway, if anyone would like their stems mixed and mastered, let me know and I'll do that for you for the price of a smile and internet hugs. I can't wait to see how this all turns out. You're all AWESOME!
NO U <3
Hmm, I will say that past experience has taught me not to overdo it on technicalities. One of the difficulties that comes with big collabs like this is that you'll work with a range of different contributors, some of which are professionals and some of which are just starting out. As far as compiling goes, I would absolutely love it if every part of the collab was mixed to perfection but realistically, there will be people who have no clue what mastering entails or how to export their stems properly. This got a little messy 10 years ago and I was forced to just deal with it. In the end I sacrificed quality of the mix in order to ensure that we finished our song at all. That being said, I intend to work as hard as I can and I also super appreciate your efforts to make this collab the best it can be! I think it's really generous of you to offer mixing people's songs! But yeah, at the same time, I wouldn't want you to have unrealistic expectations ;)At 1/11/25 01:33 PM, Quarl wrote:At 1/11/25 11:56 AM, Quarl wrote:lol, Get Out Of My Car. It has one where the tempo changes to 160 (the next part's bpm) and one that doesn't.
This is sounding great! Initially I didn't ask for it but I'm really glad you added that tempo change! Can't wait for @AED4 to add an intro to his part! <3At 1/11/25 12:47 PM, RealTin3Sn wrote:

D-Minor? I think that probably works out perfectly fine! Just send it in. We can always fix things later if need be!

That's good. I have to take notes.
I wouldn't mind writing something a little more melodic, Rhodes keys, some lax percussion kit... I can do that city pop section if no one else picks it up.
Edit: I'm also kind of surprised we don't have a bunch of audio artists tripping over themselves to do the theatrical part. Every time I judge a comp there's like 500 theatrical orchestrations. What's up with that?

Haha you were right the first time though, #24 (Rock) opened up. No one picked #18 (Theatrical) so far. Sounds like you might know someone who wants it?

His bit's in D minor. My previous attempt appeared to be G minor.
For part 19, I present to you: Amogus Phonk!
Hope it works for this collab. Might need an update to better transition into parts 18 and 20.

Whose bit are you talking about? I haven't heard #11 yet. But yeah, that's probably a good thing to keep in mind when doing your intro. If you're on the fence, may I suggest you do your song in a major key this time? Perhaps G-Major? After all, you're representing some positive developments in terms of NG history, here!

Ahh, @Anamonator! Yeah, they didn't read the rules. I told them to change some things but they haven't responded to my post in over a week. If this continues I will be forced to give their part to someone else anyway. So yeah, don't worry about the transition, it'll be fine!

Very sorry for the long delay! I have edited the song to match the 8 bar format. Unfortunately I am away from my computer so I can’t really go in and fix beat and I apologize for that. Again very sorry!

Sure I guess. Last time I was saying your song doesn't quite qualify as lofi. I was hoping for a more relaxed and cozy atmosphere. So maybe take it easy on the arpeggios and slow down the song. The description says "wholesome vibes" but right now it sounds like water level music lol.

Oh, that's a lot better already! It feels a little empty with just a beat and some chords though. Are you expanding on this? If you're lost on where to go, soft and slow piano playing is a definite requirement for the genre, could be e-piano if you'd like! And if you're looking for inspiration, just put on some lofi girl radio haha. It's a goldmine of possibilities.

I added a guitar melody and changed the velocity to make it sound more human along with some "heavenly" edited piano notes that I composed myself to make it sound amazing.
