Now, if they were all the same genre, I would say yes, go for consistent!
Ah yes, I agree! I guess what I meant was "consistent enough". As in a "not so different that transitions start clashing" kind of way.
In the case of a collab like this, I would mix them all separately, probably master them all separately but pay special attention to each transition so that they popped. If applying a single compressor to the entire collab, I would have a LOT of automation to do. Some creative FX application and cuts can be done in these transitions. Think DJ set style. But with everyone giving stems, this is a LOT of pressure on a single engineer to do in a short amount of time!
Sounds great! Yeah, I don't think I'll be dropping in any extra sound effects but some DJ tricks could really work. The old project made use of reverb and delay sometimes in order to taper some endings into better transitions :)

Ohhh that sounds awesome! You'll be happy to know @VariableGR finished his part already and the transition between your parts sounds really good!

Locrian eh? That's very brave haha! I'm really liking it so far. These are great chords and the distortion really adds to the spooky and "deranged" feel off it all. You're definitely heading the right way with that! If you're looking for feedback, I would love to see you add some accoustic guitar and vocals :)
The way it's supposed to work is the intro overlaps with the final bar of the previous song. After your intro has played, you get 8 bars to compose your part. So you're not supposed to compose beyond that point but I encourage you to leave a remainder, so your song doesn't cut off too suddenly. Also I'm sorry, but we're sticking with 160 BPM!
