The "Conflict" series, pretty sure it's never going to happen though...

That's pretty sad but often happens....
I wish good luck!

I want a remake of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, since they are expensive. Also, I like Ike.

I second every word of this. Never played F.E.A.R. but I know how inspired and ahead-of-its-time it was.

I wish I'd not taken so long to play it (first playthrough roughly 7-8 years ago when I finally got my own PC after college) but it's still one of the greatest FPS experiences I've ever had. One of my favorite pieces of trivia to talk about it is its insane enemy AI; it's downright spectacular, the best in any game outside maybe Alien Isolation's xenomorph.
...on second thought, maybe they shouldn't remaster it, I just know they'll mess up the AI somehow.

The AI is mostly what I was thinking about. Quite something that few games today can contend with a horror FPS from 2005.
Let's really hope!

I’d love a Sonic 06 remake. If it ever happened there would be a lot of “remaking” to do, but I think the games overall story is interesting.

Saints Row 1 and 2
Saints Row 1 because it's only on Xbox 360 (I know you can emulate it)
Saints Row 2 cause the PC port is a fucking travesty and modders tried their best to fix that dumpster fire
Alrighty

I think the only games that need remastering are games somehow held back by the technology of their time or that had some glaring flaws that make them hard to play.
I get the sense that most games that are remastered were excellent when they came out and are still fun. The passage of time has not magically made them less fun. It seems like a waste to pour such effort into redoing what's already great and I like it when studios spend their time doing new things instead. Maybe this is a jaded stance.
This is right and absolutely fine!

Yeah, I agree, and you do make a good point. However, what do you feel about ports? Because there are some games that I would love if they transfer over for both preservation and those that are there are too expensive.

Merry fucking Christmas, fans are making a remake.
The Sonic Team producer recently last November also said he was interested in a remake, but we know fans do better.
Take it with a grain of salt, I am slower than a snail.

Ports are great and there should be more of them.
There's this sentiment that old games need to be "remade for modern audiences" with widescreen support, high-res textures, etc... But I don't buy this. I think that modern audiences just want entertaining games and that they won't have a heart attack when their sonic adventure is is 4:3 and doesn't have bloom.

Why does that sound like a "have your cake or eat your cake" kind of proposition?
I keep reading about this specific argument, and how nebulous that claim is. Most studios actually try to do new things all the time, but people will either won't buy it, or if they do, will ultimately try to compare it to some other popular game, (even if it really isnt) and the cycle will repeat again. This is partially why ports and remastered games sell so well.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Yeah I mean I can only speak for myself here. I regularly purchase weird indie games that take risks all the time. It's what I like, I actively seek out novelty.
I don't have my finger on the pulse of the gaming industry and I wasn't trying to imply that studios don't make anything new and interesting. That kind of sentiment you hear all over the internet 'The games industry is stagnant! Nobody takes risks! Everything is just a remake nowadays.' is probably grossly reductive, but there seems like there's at least some truth to it as far as AAAs go at least. I don't have a sense of the full picture.

Remastered? Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
It hasn't had a remaster or remake, and is still probably the greatest Castlevania in the series. They should, in my opinion, release a version which combines all elements of the PlayStation and Saturn versions into a single game and give the option of using the original voice over audio and the new voice over audio (as heard in the PSP version and most later re-releases), plus throw in things like visual filters and optional pixel smoothing.
Remade? I'd say Chrono Trigger, but sorry they'd botch it unless they go the route of the upcoming Dragon Quest 1 & 2 remakes. Otherwise I'd love to see some PS1 games get remade, like Jersey Devil.

Honestly, a LBP remaster shouldn't be that hard to make if you think about it.
Port and fix LBP3, and have LBP1 and 2 levels run their own separate shaders, physics and logic akin to how they did in their own games, which would let players play the older stories with the intended mechanics and visuals, but on top of that would be an easy: "If level_lbp1 then state:lbp1()" "If level_lbp2 then state:lbp2()" which switches out for the mechanics and visuals that perfectly match the corresponding game, with minor tweaks ofc.
AAA game companies hates TRUE definitive editions, platformers, colorful characters, and great ideas so that is never gonna happen, but it's such a delectable "what if" to think about it.
LBP is a series built on backwards compatibility so tweaking everything to look and feel how it should in the level would come up with a creative way to preserve how the levels where intended to be played.
It's a really nerdy and crack-idea of a thing to think of, but it's still a fun one regardless imo.
