So unfortunately I never came here as a kid because for some reason I was convinced the site was dangerous and would fill my laptop with viruses. But I did check out the site when fnf got super popular a couple years back . Played a few other games and just . Idk this site makes the internet feel fun and exciting like it did when I was a kid. So I made an account .

The thought of newgrounds existing randomly spawned in my head

I have known Newgrounds for many many years, but never actually looked into the site itself. I registered in late 2022, discovered the XP system, and got really hooked onto it.

Although I made my first account on 2018-2019 which I deleted to change username.

Back in middle school me and my buddy would stay up late after his parents went out to a bar and play flash games all night.

random ass ng gameplay and videos from stuff that originated on ng like madness but then came to here bc of fnf bc most fnf fans near my location did not give a shit about ng which made me very pissed even though i came here like 3 years after bc i claimed i was a "ng fan" when i didnt even have ng back then and it didnt help the fact that everyone near me thought that ng was weird which made my insecure ass back then scared

Pretty generic answer, but I discovered it through FNF.

BUT I did play the shit out of Henry Stickmin YEARS before that. I was also pretty into Sr Pelo a little before it.

Played around with Flash games for years, but I think it was something like Ultimate Flash Sonic or Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny that ultimately convinced me to make an account. My memory of 13 years ago is a bit hazy, but that sounds right in my head!

Didn't look through the rest of the site but I remember thinking it was unusual that it had a rating system, the creator's profile, the bars at the top with the different portals etc. I learned more about Newgrounds through this YouTube series that talked about flash games on this website and I first clicked on the one about Riddle school and then a few others.

So in short: Riddle School. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that.

Okay so my friend CosmicToons Joined Newgrounds and I was old enough to join also FNF was Super super popular so I gave it a go AND NOW IM HOOKED

I think I discovered Newgrounds from other flash sites I was using.

It was probably long time ago when I first went into Newgrounds, somewhere 'round early 2010s.

Although it was the games and animations (D'uh obviously…) that had preloaders which showed NewGrounds.

I still remember that Pico ranking system (Whatchyacallit anyways?) before Tom Fulp replaced Pico because he liked Tankman's military armaments and dirty jokes than Pico's irrational massacre of uberkids (Correct me, I'm no veteran.). But Moving on…

I simply found out about it by animations and games throughout the years of playing during 2010s.

Territory War 3 Online was one of the game that I played on this site longer than any other games'n movies I played back in 2010.

Mines pretty simple, flash games/animation back in the day.

A lot of flash games and animations led to Newgrounds, remembering it existed after a certain funky game blew up in popularity but only decided to actually make an account and join after Madness Day 2022, even still it was like 5/6 months after that.

I was looking for a website to post artwork on besides deviantart or instagram, and i ended up stumbling onto NG from there. Boy am I glad I did :)

I started using the internet around 2009 and this site among others like armor games were the earliest sites little kid me went to. The Henry Stickman games were my fav back in the day

How may I start, I was in a very bad place at the time, my family used to have our own house and everything, but we lost that house and have to move out of it, then we lived in a trailer at an old abandoned farm as my dad went to jail, however, i liked this lifestyle, even with the events unfolding at the time, we had everything we need, we ate what we need, we went to this soup kitchen and the food was nice, and that abandoned farm had an abandoned house just an acre away from the barn, we stayed a couple nights there.

Anyway, sometimes we had a friend that was kind enough to let us stay at her house for a couple nights a week or so, met her twin daughters and they were nice, that place was everything I was missing out on, Internet, wii, even tv on demand, I used the internet every now and then to watch some sonic videos and play some crappy sonic flash games, that was when i found one on Newgrounds, can't remember the game really, but that was my first experience with the site, and I was really young back then, sometime between 2008-2012.

Now fast forward a bit, I was in high school, I had a twitter account and post occasional stuff like random thoughts, updates on mods of Rivals of Aether and SRB2Kart, at school I sneak around classes to use the site to watch a couple funny flash cartoons, in fact i think i did that at middle school where i watched Brawl Taunts, anyway I watched the smash collab in high school, it was a bit hard to weasel by knowing that my teachers can see everything i browse, but i managed to use the site from time to time. haha. I considered joining the site, but my friend gave me a heads up that it's full of smut, which i had second thoughts at first, but now I'm here, lol.

So that's kinda how I met Newgrounds, the ending of this story was that I thought of joining Newgrounds again, and repost the art I posted on twitter to here, now my art is Newgrounds exclusive for now, as I stopped using twitter and can't seem to find a platform on other sites.

Probably from playing Henry Stickmin (Henry Stickmin was a huge part of my childhood), but I didn’t start using the site until like 2021-2022.

back when i was a kid, I looked up Mario flash games and this website was one of the first ones to up (I was big into playing Mario games online when i was a kid). That's how I first discovered Newgrounds. I would play SMB Crossover a lot on there before it got taken off the site. obviously I also played a lot of Mario Combat and watched stuff like Rawest Forest and SMBZ

My first discoveries were in the past when I was looking for random sites to play flash games, Newgrounds was one of them. I remember using Newgrounds the most for a certain Minecraft skin editor. Although, I didn't pay much attention to it as I just treated it like sites like Friv.

It wasn't until a while after FNF started blowing up that I decided to give Newgrounds an actual try, with a whole account and everything.

I remember I was trying to find games to play online and searching Yahoo! Search or Google at the time, and it brought me to Newgrounds.

Although back then it looked very different, and was understandably more limited due to the availability of user content at the time (but that quickly changed as the years went by).

I must've stumbled upon Newgrounds back in 1999 or so, it was pre-Y2K for sure.

When I was looking through stuff of one artist, that I don't remember nickname, he had newgrounds in one of his links, went to it looked at some stuff and left. That was my first encounter in 2019 I think.

My reason of re-discovering newgrounds is foggy. It may be really looking up every info on Isaac while Repentence has been released, maybe it was just FNF hype, maybe both. I'm not sure.

first thing to get me really interested in Newgrounds was FNF, then I got into Pico’s School off of that and now I’m hyperfixated on the site as a whole, so that’s neat.

if we’re talking first general exposure, some fnaf porn animation from a 2014 or later Halloween jam I stumbled across and was way too young to be watching lmao, was during the pico rating icons era, I remember that much. probably played some flash games that were originally from NG as well around that time, idk

One day in 2004 I was looking up games to play on the computer and something called newgrounds popped up and clicked on it and it was the first website I ever saw on the internet, after that I was hooked since.

there was some websites with newgrounds games, i thinked newgrounds was a game studio or something.

Someday i was bored and i made an account here.
