I really can't remember. Newgrounds was just kind of always there, along with Albino Blacksheep, as one of the go-to places to find flash movies and games on the web. Which was a pretty big deal Pre-YouTube and Pre-Steam. I can't recall what my first exposure to NG was or how I ended up there, be it a web search or something shared on a forum. But I remember Osama Bin Laden parodies being on the front page, so it's likely it was 2001 or 2002.

I was a young lad who was discovering himself and found the Kramer Hentai Adventure series. It is history from there baby.
Mostly through animators I found on YouTube, but also through some flash games I played back in the late 00s and early 10s.
I was using the old Nintendo Nsider board and some guys I met on there decided to make their own Proboards site. On there one of them had a thing up for the Numa Numa dance and it linked to Newgrounds.
I discovered NG when I was very young (2or3) when watching reuploads of NG cartoons on YouTube (ex. sonic paradox, M is bad etc.) but I couldn't use a pc at the time so I never went on it. later on I've been playing NG games on other websites over the years on the school computers (henry stickmin, riddle school, super Mario 63). many years later when fnf started becoming viral online and my friend was playing mods on the school computer. I played it here and there but never got into it. and then when I discovered Chris O Nell's let's play channel (OneyPlays) I decided to check out Chris's old cartoons and I found them funny TBH. and then when I found out about the SirTom93 story on wavywebsurf's channel so I decided to make an account on 1/1/23 and I've been a user ever since. :)

riddle school started getting popular out of nowhere in 2016 and i instantly became obsessed and started using NG to play all the games in the series over and over and listen to the OST from said series (for some reason i didn't make an account until 2 years later though)
chances are i had heard of the site before 2016 since i got into TBOI in 2015 (yes when i was 11 my parents did not care lmao) and was obsessed with rawest forest when i was like 9 or 10 but i can't confirm

Personally, I just kinda always knew Newgrounds since I was kid, I never really made an account or anything but I really enjoyed the Sonic flash games that were featured on there. I also got a lot into Homestuck at somepoint anf it reminded me of this site!

Geometry Dash was one of my favorite games to play, and when I started making music I instantly wanted to put music on the game. That’s when I found the NG is actually so much more than just the music supplier for GD. It’s a community!

One of my classmates from school told me about a website that had games where you could kill celebrities. She told me at the time that the website was called "celebritykilling.com" or some shit, and searching around for that eventually lead me to the Assassin collection here on NG back in like 2002 or 2003, back when they had the Shotgun Guy and the page played a loop of this song:

just searching for random flash games that i found on youtube,basically i would then go to sites ike miniclips,max games,etc and ng was one of them

I found out about Newgrounds by playing Geometry Dash, long before i started producing hardstyle music (January, 2019).
But i started to show more activity right after i stepped on producing music, and Newgrounds will be forever in my heart as this is where i began and i'm still here, trying to spread hardstyle sounds to the NG public.

Thanks to GBA Alien Hominid, I kinda remember seeing the Newgrounds logo on old flash games I played but the GBA Alien Hominid took me to the site. I got interested on newgrounds in December 2020 and I finally joined on January 2021

I actually believe it was ABC Happytime that brought me here, even though my friend did mention the site to me beforehand.
Found a post dated from May 31, 2011 on my PlayStationTrophies account linking ABC Happytime. lol
