Yeah nope. The .cfg file solution doesn't do anything for me either. The Flash Player Plugin included with NG Player plain refuses to install. It's got nothing to do with newgrounds website being blocked by Adobe or whatever. Same Error 1722. I never had this error when I installed NG Player months ago. In Dec 2020 to be exact... which is actually less than a month. Less than a month and it screwed up already.

Well screw that. Anyways was reading Andkon's FAQ on running Flash games.

And his link to Flash Player 32.0.0.371 (NPAPI version A.K.A. plugins for Firefox/Palemoon) worked for me. At least until Firefox kills Flash too. So that version of Flash Player should work better than Version 28 which I tested earlier.

Also if Windows prompts you to uninstall Flash, be sure to click No. The player needs the Flash runtime to be installed.


I just followed your link to get the "latest version" and downloaded a file that was exactly the same size as the "Install_Newgrounds_Player.msi" I downloaded on 9-11-2020. But I named it "Install_Newgrounds_Player 2021.msi" and used the old MS dos comp command comp "Install_Newgrounds_Player 2021.msi" "Install_Newgrounds_Player.msi" and it said the 2 were the same exact file bit for bit throughout the contents. I am very skeptical that this will be any different than the version that just completely stopped working and made the image exactly as the OP of this thread posted. It's POSSIBLE that it is just an installer that links to something else through the internet, but I highly doubt it, I think no one actually updated the program.


FYI, while you're fixing it, I'd like to point out some problems with it even when it did work. Newgrounds player was not working properly for a lot of things. For instance the game "rullo", not sure if it's on newgrounds but it is (or was, maybe they're taken down or soon will be for the end of an era) on notdoppler, but whenever the game generated a puzzle that was too tall in the infinite mode, it would be outside the boundaries of the screen, whereas the original flash game worked in a regular browser just fine. And most of the time I ran it for bonk.io, it would not be responsive to the enter button, so I would be unable to chat with the other players, since sending a chat message was initiated by hitting the enter button. For some reason, about 5 or 10% of the time I ran it though, it would respond to the enter button just fine. And no I don't mean I'd have to spam the enter button 20 times before one took, I mean the entire session it would not respond to the enter button and occasionally there would be sessions where it would work. And it would often be nonresponsive for a certain time at random, I'd press a button and it would act as if I was holding the button, or it would ignore me pressing a button for a second or 2, which made me from a nigh unbeatable to a mediocre player in bonk.io.

Sadly I deleted my adobe flash when it expired, so I don't know if NWPlayer will work for me. It shows me same picture, that it's deleted as adobe.


So I downloaded older version as one of the coments said, but I cant't find it in pc and don't have a clue how to fix it

glade to know im not the only one encountering this issue. due to this 95% of my favorite NG games are not unplayable because you have to hack the NG client and your computer to have even a remote chance of it possibly running.

I have a similar problem; but for me it just doesnt want to install flash at all. It just keeps teling me that Microsoft Edge already has the latest version of flash when I try to launchthe install_flash_player executabe in it's programms folder, which I don't care about since I don't use Edge.


I actually tried lauching the thing through the Edge browser, but even there I get the prompt "do you want to install flash?" , I then click "Yes" and absolutely nothing happens.

Yeah nope. The .cfg file solution doesn't do anything for me either. The Flash Player Plugin included with NG Player plain refuses to install. It's got nothing to do with newgrounds website being blocked by Adobe or whatever. Same Error 1722. I never had this error when I installed NG Player months ago. In Dec 2020 to be exact... which is actually less than a month. Less than a month and it screwed up already.

Well screw that. Anyways was reading Andkon's FAQ on running Flash games.

And his link to Flash Player 32.0.0.371 (NPAPI version A.K.A. plugins for Firefox/Palemoon) worked for me. At least until Firefox kills Flash too. So that version of Flash Player should work better than Version 28 which I tested earlier.

Hey, nvm, I have a problem in which newgrounds flash player say that I didn't installed the flash plugin, I actually installed but it still say that and when I say yes nothing happens, help.


What OS are you running again? Instructions I found were basically for windows. Likewise I think NG Player only works with Windows or maybe WINE/Linux. The latest NG Player installation should have a ActiveX Flash Player Plugin included, and also some modifications to stop windows from blocking Flash Player. If you don't have it(ActiveX Flash Player Plugin) installed already, it should ask to install it.


It's possible that your OS is blocking the installation of the plugin. I'm not sure. Try looking in the installation folder of NG Player, look for the Flash Player plugin's installation file, check the properties and unblock it if it's block.


If that's not the issue, follow @sonucais FAQ on doing a full uninstall of Flash on your system, then reinstall NG Player again, which should also install the other stuff you need.

Hmmm. That's new to me . It should be standalone and isolated from any potential blocking or updating of its Flash Player plugin. I do have an older version of Opera that can still run Flash, but since it loads Armorgame really slowly or just hangs, there's really no reason for me to use it anymore. Not when NG Player is working for me, and Armorgames ain't my fav Flash website for a very long time now. Of course I can still use old Opera to load SWFs but I can do that with NG Player and the other standalone player I have anyways, which both work faster than loading up old Opera.

I'm using windows and the latest update of NG player, when it say that I have to install it and I say yes, nothing happens, maybe is beacuse of the dead of flash support, I fully uninstalled flash, after I did that, I installed NG player and when I try to start a flash game, it say that I have to install the plugin, I press yes and nothing happens, and where do I find the NG player folder?

Should be somewhere in the "Program Files" or "Program File(x86)" folder. Should look like image below.

And it should be impossible for "dead of support"(whatever that means) to block any installation file, if the modifications for removing window's blocking of Flash is in place, which should have been installed when the NG Player is installed.


If for whatever reason you can't find the ActiveX Flash Player plugin in the NG Player directory. Download an old one from archive dot org. Version 29 or below to be safe.(Like the ones I linked in an earlier post) Though if you google it, you should be able to find various places that uploaded fixed versions of Flash Player plugins that don't have any killswitch. Remember to "unblock" that installation file before running them, and make sure you actually installed the ActiveX version which NG Player uses.

When i say "unblock" the file , I mean shit like this.

Newer versions of windows tends to automatically "block" stuff you download from the web. It blocked even my EBF5 savegame file.


For Flash installation files, that means they would fail to run or even delete themselves(the smaller installers from the Adobe website did that) after failing to run.
