Well Southern Style metal is awesome, but there isn't enough to it. I know lots of bands from New Orleans, but most of them are sludge metal, however I'll recommend them anyway.

If you're going to look into it, also check out Storm Troopers of Death (SOD), The Accused, and Hirax. It's a different sound, and it's fun to listen to every now and again like NWOBHM.

I also agree, I don't pay attention to them, its the fact that I know theyre dumb and ignorant that keeps me from telling them off.

If a person likes a band, they like a band, regardless of genre, so it doesnt matter if they have a genre correct or not. It's one thing to correct something wrong for the sake of correcting, but its the whole elite attitude that makes you equally a jerkoff.

If i liked Black eyed peas and called it rap, and someone corrected me with hip hop, I dont know either genre to know or care enough, but in the end I just like the band for whatever it is. Amirite?
