Or don't because, you know, that's their worst album.

Get Fabulous Disaster or Pleasures Of The Flesh.

Tempo of the Damned>Those two albums. I agree that some of the songs aren't that good, but the ones that are, are really great. The two first songs and Forward March are better than anything on FD or POTF.

But Bonded by Blood is by far the best.

So what you're trying to tell me is that Scar Spangled Banner, War is my Sheppard, and Forward March are better than Fabulous Disaster, Toxic Waltz, AND Chemi-Kill?

Posting everyone except the Metal Hell.

In other news, I'm getting a new 5-string Schecter Left-Handed Bass. It'll be $700, but it'll be worth it.

I died.

Nah, I've just been sidetracked by stuff (mod duties on The Revird, looking after the anime club here, busted laptop means I've only got about 10% of my metal to listen to).

I've been listening to loads of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden lately, as well as some metalcore and mallcore-ish stuff. I must say, some of these 'core bands are actually good, even a few of the "Hot Topic sampler" type bands are tolerable.

I'm in fucking love with Goatwhore, and Job For A Cowboy have always been a favorite.

I've also gotteb back into Faith No More, The Real Thing is by far their best album.

Both are awesome. I can't believe I still don't have an Iron Maiden album. I've come close to buying Powerslave, Piece of Mind, and Number of the Beast, but always ended up buying other things.

Powerslave is an epic album, loads of winners of that one.

It had it's moments, but I wasn't too big on it.

Fantastic vocals, though, some of Patton's best.

I'm sorry, Gary, but:

Your taste in Faith No More=Suck. The Real Thing was awesome, mind you, but Angel Dust was just that much better.

Way to provide reasons.

I just preferred The Real Thing because it was my introduction to the band and the fact that the title track is one of my all-time favorite songs. When it comes to quality of music, I think the two albums are pretty even.

Also, Album of The Year = dangerously underrated, amirite?

I've seen "Epic Metal" used as a genre several times, but I've been wondering if this is just some bullshit genre some metal journalist came up with or if it's legitimate.

Is it?

You could use it to describe it. I'd never use it as a genre.

Rhapsody of Fire
Dragonforce
Etc.

I'm not too keen on any of them, but they are pretty funny to listen to.

I took a 3 day bus ride. Like id leave already. Im working in Banff for 3 months. everyone in this hotel is nuts and drunks. I start tomorrow and already drinking with the bellmen and auditors right now. finished a bottle of rum. When I was in calgary and a bus was going for red deer I thought of you. I might when going back home stop in calgary in a bit since I have family there. Maybe we could actually hang out. Until then Im working in the middle of mountains in a hotel, so not much time or room to hang out until then.
