God I love Turisas.

Don't know where they get the idea of them being Celtic from, they're Finnish.

Whatever you call they're music, it rocks either way.

And apparently they're playing Download Festival...its almost enough to make me want to go...almost.

Meh, could be worse. You could be stuck in the south for three months. At least theres nice scenery there. Just watch out for the asians. And the gondola. It got stuck last time I went on it. :(

When I was in calgary and a bus was going for red deer I thought of you.

o u.

I might when going back home stop in calgary in a bit since I have family there. Maybe we could actually hang out.

Yeh mang. Then we could drink and I could show you the...fine side of Red Deer? Fuck. That burns just saying it.

Until then Im working in the middle of mountains in a hotel

Which hotel? The springs?

Awake is their best album I've decided :).

I am never sure where I'd put Awake on my most loved to least liked DT albums list. One day, I might like Awake a lot. Another Day, I might think "meh" to the album. :|

That just makes no sense what-so-ever.

Why would they want to incorporate Celtic style music into their stuff? They don't have a heritage of it, so it's a bit strange in my opinion.

Whatever floats their boat I suppose.

On a different note, King Diamond's "Don't Break the Oath" is a very good album, but not the masterpiece it's hailed as.

Anyone else in here who knows it?

Hey, lads? I need help.
Can you give me the tabs to some good power chords somewhere in the middle of the fretboard that would suit a power metal song (with some Viking Metal influences) but would only be at most 2-3 frets apart? Because i'm having trouble writing the verses for Where Dragons Fight.

And guess what I got?

In other news, I'm getting a new 5-string Schecter Left-Handed Bass. It'll be $700, but it'll be worth it.

I'm getting a Dean 6 string bass. I play on it once every week at my local record store, so I'm going to buy it.

Way to provide reasons.

You didn't let me get to that part.

I just preferred The Real Thing because it was my introduction to the band and the fact that the title track is one of my all-time favorite songs. When it comes to quality of music, I think the two albums are pretty even.

Angel Dust seems to be heavier than The Real Thing is. Plus with songs like Jizzlobber, Be Aggressive, Malpractice, and Land of Sunshine, it's just so damn catchy. Also, angst.

Also, Album of The Year = dangerously underrated, amirite?

Very much so.

Also, since I got finished with all my uni assignments last Friday i've finally had time to practise guitar again. It's nice.

Anyone hear Job for a Cowboys new album, Genesis?
Im downloading it now, and Ive been reading up on it....
seems as if they've changed completely, everyones saying their dropped the hardcore/deathcore style, consisting of lots of breakdowns, the range of vocals mainly the pig squeels, and the overall sound. So apparently their now a solid death metal band.......but this is just what Ive heard. Just wondering if anyone hear has heard it and what they thought of it.

When I went on it and it got stuck everyone was all like, "OMG WE R DEDZ LOOLOOLOLLLOL".
So I started shaking it.

But, yeah. The asians are out of control there. Last time I stayed there for a week we took our dog and I swear they wouldn't leave him alone for ten seconds.

Then he ran after a bear.

Ghoul, I've listened to the new album and it's not half-bad. It's more pure death metal, in fact, there are literally only 2 breakdowns throughout the whole album. It's not that bad.
