Hi, i love Death Metal and Black Metal.
I used to love Hard Rock and metal the most but i went over to more hard music.

Sadly, I have 4 friends who I haven't quite converted.

One claims to be a metalhead, but listens to Children of Bodom, In Flames (new), Slipknot, Korn.

I showed him a lot. Opeth, Emperor, Necrophagist, Gorgoroth, Early Burzum, Pandemonium, Blind Guardian, Persuader, Tyr, Bathory, Megadeth, Finntroll, Hypocrisy, Mayhem, Naglfar, Rotting Christ, Soilwork, and Tankard.

I recently discovered Edguy. Their singer sounds a lot like Iron Maiden. As of now, my favorite songs are either Vain Glory Opera or Lavatory Love Machine, which btw, is possibly one of the greatest song titles ever.

You should check out Avantasia, then. It's the side project of Edguy singer and keyboardist. It's like Edguy, but with a longer and more drawn out song structure, and a completely serious tone (it is, after all, one giant power metal opera.) And a gaggle of guest musicians. It's nothing short of amazing.

I quite like Nightwish actually, I just wanted to say Slayer are teh poo.

See now i like nightwish, might have something to do with being a huge therion fan but they are imo listenable and enjoyable, they arent bow down amazing but still good.

i don't even try in my town, everyone listens to either pop or rap/ hip hop, mention metal near these people and they look at you like you're insane

yes actually, its not that bad of a magazine, it does talk about nu-metal though, but other than that its pretty good
