I'd like to extend a big dick suck to whoever suggested Pandemonium. The Hollow Grounds now has 15 hits on it, I cant stop listening to it.

well I got back from the battle of the bands, and all of the bands except one were a complete disgrace to music, and the good one didn't even get second place (insert page long rant here)

That sucks. Well, I'm sure you did good. When I did battle of the bands, my band was the only one that played real music because the other bands played punk crap. my band Played "Crystal Mountain"- Death and "True Belief"-Paradise Lost. One of my best friends filled in for the acoustic part at the end of Crystal Mountain. Got a lot of good comments since my voice sounded just like Chuck Schuldiner. My bands name is Symbolic. You can probrably guess were we took the name from.

Fucking yes! It would be nice knowing I've pioneered something. I'm writing the 4th song now, "Dominion". I'm also going to re-record the 2nd song "God is Evil", because I lost it when my computer crashed.

Blackened Grind...... AWESOME.

Exactly, why are you here? The Offspring are not metal.

but metal is the best kind of music for me

Write your list up again, I want to see what crap bands you like.

I just finished God is Evil after 4 agonizing hours. I actually did it twice, but got pissed off with the lame bass quality that I had the first time I recorded but just couldn't get again. I tweaked around with the program and ended up recording this version without my Ibanez, but with my B.C Rich Warlock.

3/4 tracks are now done bass/drum wise. When the 4th is complete (Tommorow hopefully) I'll send it to Ghoul somehow and he can black metal it up.

I've checked metal-archives and found that no-one has actually done Blackened Grind yet. The closest this is, "Blackened Death Metal/Grindcore".

So Ghoul and I are pioneers of a new sound. It feels good.

So, the tracks for the 'Satan Lives' EP are:

1. Brain Rape
2. God is Evil
3. Satan Lives
4. Dominion

So. There's the lowdown folks.

Just thought you might be interested.

You're probably not.

Doesn't that statement contradict itself?

Anyway, yeah, Blackened Grind isn't a particularaly new concept :P. If I recall correctly, Circle Of Dead Children were doing it back in the late 90's.

Also, check out Thy Flesh Consumed

My honest opinion...black metal and grindcore have too many differences (and ironically enough, share quite a few similarities) that don't lend themselves well to a crossover genre.

Seriously...what can you do to a grindcore song to make it sound like black metal?

Though I guess it depends on your definition of grindcore.

But either way, you weren't the first person to come up with the concept of blackened grind ;)

I realise that.

Record a grindcore song with a really Gorgoroth-ish sound and put some choir in it? I dunno.

Though I guess it depends on your definition of grindcore.

The riffs I'm writing are a bit grindcore, but mostly hardcore punk. It's hard to discribe, but all I know is they would sound good with a black influence.

But either way, you weren't the first person to come up with the concept of blackened grind ;)

I know, but I'm still determined to lead it to a definite, if not purer sound.
