Sunday evening I saw Epica + Kamelot. They put on a really great show. It was fantastic. On friday, I'm seeing Stratovarius.

I totally agree. I hate all those bands!! :-D Its funny because people think My Chemical Romance is actually metal. THEY even classify themselves as metal. It makes me so mad. I hate when bands say they're a genre that they arent. Like Trivium says they're thrash. Im not really into that much thrash, but that made me very angra...

Someone was talking about Tony Kakko's voice. Yes, it's magnificent! I saw them live a while ago and it's hard to believe it wasn't all just playback. I'm training hard to become just half as great(actually, even better, but don't tell anyone)...
I'm going to take some voice and singing lessons if I can afford them. It's crucial to learn the right techique if you want to make it through a long show with your voice still usable the next day. I'm in a good start, I must say. :) With my obsession over Opeth lately, I've acquired the taste for harsh vocals as well, but I still keep my clean voice as the main objective here.
Does anyone have experience about doing DM growling and HONESTLY being able to say they can still sing clean and clear? I'd like to hear some stories from all the Metal Hell vocalists, since that specific field of songwriting is usually just passed by in all coversations. O.O

Hey guys, I quit my Death Metal band Coffinfeeder a few weeks ago (musical differences) and now I'm starting to form a new band under the name "Conviction". It's gonna be quite different from what I've done before, thrashy Heavy Metal (Annihilator, Judas Priest influences) with some nice, ballsy vocals (don't expect falsettos or anything, just ballsy thrash vocals). Found another guitarist already and we started working :)
Sounds good, thrash metal kicks ass, and falsetto operetic singing sucks, so hope it works out. So can I use the name Coffinfeeder for my band? Lol kiddin'. Anyway, I'M BACK!
