What about Neptune Towers or Ulver? Ulver are the most Ulverific band out there.

Yes, but Ulver used to be black metal, so they don't go into the side band rule.

true dat. Anywho, what about Neptune Towers? Or Wongraven?

ya i agree with that. it should be just for metal nothing else.

it's pronounced Won Graven... It's the band's founder's last name (Sigurd Wongraven, a.k.a. Satyr)

About the archives: Let it go. Trivium is in there, and they're not really metal either. There are some punk bands, etc. that are in there. It is still the definitive site for metal.

GChrist: Yeah, how much money?

Thanks :)

We didn't talk about the album's price yet, but I guess around 8, 9 dollars or something like that. I'm going to upload my album just for the metal hell anyway, so don't worry, you'll be able to hear it :)

Oh, and I've finished one of the last tracks now, it's pretty much all folk/ambience.

I always love folk/ambience, and in your hands, it should make the rest of the album beter.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HOLY SHIT.

dude, my mom was working that night and was one of the nurses in charge when he came in. they were going through his stuff and one of the docs was like, "so thats why he got hit. he was listening to rap music." and my mom was just like, "thats not rap, thats gorgoroth." he was kinda pissed that they had to cut his jacket off, though.

Burzum, kickass :P

You just have to know where to look to find the right people. There are a couple of good forums on Nexopia chock full of elitist pricks, haha.

yeah, it should fit quite well into the album.

btw, I heard some Nargaroth samples lately, they sounded quite interesting to my ears.

I've not got the album yet but I downloaded about 10 In Flames songs and the two I like the best were Only For The Weak and Man Made God. Trouble is I'm poor at the moment. But as soon as I've got some spare cash I'm buying both Colony and Clayman, Alien (Strapping Young Lad), Epitaph (Necrophagist) and Dream Theaters; Live at Budokan (DVD), Awake and A Change of Seasons. And if I've got enough money left I'll be getting Images and Words, and possibly Metropolis Part II.

Songs to check out by other bands:
Dark Tranquillity - "Monochromatic Stains"
This is the song that got me into metal in the first place
Soilwork - "Song of the Damned"
Another classic song for me

Fear Factory - "Digimortal"
The Digimortal album really got me into Fear Factory, now they rank in my top 5, easily

I'll be checking them all out, thanks.

No problem! Glad you liked it!

Actually the entire Reroute to Remain album is excellent. Definately recommend the songs "Trigger", "Reroute to Remain", "System" and "Black & White". "Cloud Connected" is a very accessible song but not one of my overall favorites.
I can talk about that band for hours, but In Flames really is one of my favorite bands to get people into metal. They have something for everyone.

rofl, I can go on for hours about some of my bands either, but who can't:P

Guess I'm gonna take a in the musicstore then(and hopefully the got some of them);):P

Would you like some album reccomendations? For you, I would reccomend Herbstleyd, Amarok, BMiK, and Prosatanica Shooting Angels. My personal Nargaroth favorites are Geliebte Des Regens, Rasluka, and Herbstleyd, though I love all Nargaroth. I don't think it's possible for Kanwulf to make a bad album.

My friend told me the funniest story today. I was talking to him on MSN, and he tells me that his brother, sister, and cousin think Black Metal and Death metal are screamo, because they have "screaming" in them. That's even funnier than the time this girl told me Slipknot was Death metal.

I think the better question is who cares? Nu-metal is dumb, nu-metal fans are dumb, true metal rules. End of story.

As for Kill, it's pretty bland as far as I'm concerned. If you've heard one Cannibal Corpse album, you've pretty much heard them all. Corpsegrinder does have one hell of a voice though

Yeah, but what's even funnier is that my friend's brother thinks that all the mainstream stuff is "hardcore".
