cya guys!

You shouldn't announce that your leaving. Just leave, it only makes you seem like an attention whore :P.
But ciao anyway.

And while we're on the topic of local bands and recording I'd add my two cents.
The Blackpool local scene is fucking awful, punk bands with no talent (even for a punk man) and a load of trendy indie bands. Theres one thats good for easy listening, but the metal scene never exsisted I don't think.

And about recording I'm getting me a Tascam US-122 and a Shure SM57 so I can become somewhat of a solo artist (I have a friend who sings and who's technically in a band so I suppos he'll do vocals). But I just wanna be able to record, since my bands myspace has nothing but joke songs on it.
Just for future reference.
I'm quite proud of the album covers I did.

Hello people, I have been away for quite some time. I had a lot of work to do. I see there have been fights in this club but this seems to be over.

Many things happened to me when I was gone, I got fired from my workplace where I have been working for 5 years. Apparently they cannot afford a decent barkeeper anymore. I had luck and found a better place, more friendly and even more salary!

Ghoul: This is a stupid thing to say (not right away, but wait until you read on), but I would have LOVED to do the vocals. I am devoid of musical playing talent, but I swear I can growl with the best of them. The only damn problem (besides the fact that I use a predominant death-metal-with-minor-black-metal-infusio
n style that probably wouldnt fit your tracks) is that I DONT have a mic either! Its teh balls... Ragnarok sounds fuckin awesome though, I really wanna buy the cd (ha, if only... : ( )

There is no music scene here, otherwise I'd try getting in a band anyway...

GChrist: I cant wait to hear your stuff either. If its anything like the single track, its gonna own.

for those that have been band/not hear for a while all that you have missed is truble makers bitching about metal... realy nothing interesting.

Buy a mic. I would love to hear your vocals. I do death vocals, too, so it's all gravy.

The whole album is awesome. The best thing we've ever done, or even me, for that matter.

There is no music scene here, otherwise I'd try getting in a band anyway...

Sucks.

GChrist: I cant wait to hear your stuff either. If its anything like the single track, its gonna own.

It sounds like Rotting Christ.

Oh, and GC, I missed the opportunity to tell you my favorite RC album, which is Khronos 666. On that album they get the darkness so fucking dark and so fucking beautiful. I love it, though I've heard Thy Mighty Contract, Non Serviam, and Triarchy of the Lost Lovers. I have a playlist of about 20 or 30 Rotting Christ songs.

No problem at all

Nice to see we're all cordial.

On the other hand, Asgarður's new full length is gonna fucking OWN!!! The last song, The Finale: Ragnarok is gonna be long, epic, and a wonderful closer. If you liked Queen of Fimbulwinter, you'll like these songs. The only difference is that the the other 4 songs are going to be more epic, more melodic, and have more keyboards.
Sounds very promising :) Can't wait to hear that.

Good. You'll fucking love it. The whole atmosphere is epicx1000

The tracklist of my upcoming album on the archives is not complete yet, so here is the complete version:

1. The Forgotten Kingdom
2. Schizophrenic
3. Trails of the Morbid
4. Mystic Visions
5. Punishment of Existence
6. Firebringer
7. The Avernus Passage
8. Monumentum
9. Under Thy Mighty Wings
10. Fgmenth, Thy Gift (Rotting Christ Cover)

and I'm really satisfied with it, this time around :) It's gonna be quite melodic, yet pretty harsh at times and a lot of ambience is used. Less high, screeching vocals, but they will be there from time to time.

I love the ambient sections of your previous songs. They sound like essences from the underworld! :) The reason Asgarður's songlist is half the length of yours has something to do with the length of the songs! With a 9 minute Queen Of Fimbulwinter, and an at least 25 minute Finale: Ragnarok, it's gonna pack heat.

Thanks :) Under Thy Mighty Wings, the 9th song is going to be quite long as well (no 25 minutes, though). Sounds really good, and yes, fucking EPIC.

Khronos is an awesome album, it has some of their most atmospheric songs(Time Stands Still, Art of Sin and Fateless are awesome).

Does it actually say Smoke On The Water is a metal song, or does it just list Deep Purple because they have done metal?

It lists 95 recordings of the song, mostly by Deep Purple. I made a search on the song name.

That's because Deep Purple is listed on the archives, not because the song is a metal song.

It also lists Before the Dawn by Judas Priest, and that song certainly isn't metal.

Just thought I'd clear that up.

One thing I hate about the Archives is the "side band" rule. Who cares if it's a band that contains famous members from various metal acts or whatever, if the band isn't metal it shouldn't be allowed in. It is supposed to be the METAL Archives.

What about Neptune Towers or Ulver? Ulver are the most Ulverific band out there.

oh, and GC, I like your cleaner vocals. They are truly dark. Don't be ashamed of them. Oh, and I can't wait to hear your album. How much does it go for?

Yes, but Ulver used to be black metal, so they don't go into the side band rule.
