yeah, the best way to enjoy music is to make music. im a drummer, not a particularly great one, but i can do some ok stuff with double bass's and a few toms. if i went longer than a week without listening to any metal, well, i would hurt something, publicly, and brutally... i wish i had a girlfriend that would buy me cd's, my girlfriend is just as broke as i am. i get all my music from my other friend, ben, who has 1100 cds.

A tip... Put war black metal and some war movie on, make a lot push-ups and other exercises and stuff, scream along with the music etc.
In about half an hour you will feel like you just came back from a fight or something and will sleep peacefully. It always works.

To Ghoul - I never defined values in the first place. Half the shit you talked about I already do (so I dont smoke - sue me). I just respect people who are real and live for themselves and be themselves - to me, thats having values.

As for having values, I believe values are made by people to make living easier and being honest and true to yourself and others is a value in itself. And as for metal, IMO, the different subgenres with different believes are there for a reason, and that is expressing yourself and your believes. I'm really not into the rape-your-dog-with-a-firehose- stuff, because I don't believe it. The only time I like it is when it's for fun. I love Bloodhound Gang because they have some really extreme fun lyrics which I can enjoy without telling people to masturbate to missing children! I getting carried away here... a-friggin-gain! But at least I tried to bring my POV to daylight... not sure if anyone understood, though...
