In my personal opinion there are a ton of overrated metal bands. My personal one would be Demon Burger, even though I used to like them, and even though they do have some decent stuff...They're too boring, too repetitive, and they are mostly filler.
Never heard Darkthrone, so I can't comment.
And one doesn't have to be a musician to appreciate music. (I did use to play an instument...Not metal-related, I played saxophone for five years, but quit three years ago). I don't play guitars, I can only do very shoddy drums and forget base. I am decidedly OK at growling (of a death-metal variety, according to my G/F) but not a great vokillist. Yet I absolutely love music unlike anything else.
And dude, how can your brother listen to the radio? Ekectric guitars are everywhere, even without metal, its in a lot of places (even in rap a little...*Shudders*). Guess he can't go out.

I think Jimi Hendrix is the one of the greatest ,but Zakk Wylde is really good metal-guitarist. Also Randy Rhoads an' Dimebag Darrel were good,but they're in better lands now,where have no rapmusic an' all guys have Jackson or ESP or Gibson an' a real amplifier. :D

On other news, I'm making this epic black/death song, similar to what Tvangeste, Stormlord, et cetera do. Yeah. Alexi is very talent,but his mom really
support him. I mean, i once watched from TV his interview. He said his schools average grade was 5.8 (In Finland our is 4-10) And when he didnt want to go school he just stay home to play guitar and his mom just wrote to school that hes sick...

Well, I had a cheap Strat-copy, a piece of junk :P it lacked everything a metal guitarist needs, I had no idea about guitars at that time.
