Well, I had a cheap Strat-copy, a piece of junk :P it lacked everything a metal guitarist needs, I had no idea about guitars at that time.

I am getting so confused with some things... Can someone that knows loadsa metal explain why Lord Wind (traditional atmospheric darkambient music) is metal, and to/die/for isnt? I mean, to/die/for are kinda gothy emo-ish nu stuff, but still though I ADORE Lord Wind, they are closer to Metal than LW is.

It was very expensive, 1300 euros at first, but I brought my dad with me (tr00 business man) so I got it for 'only' 800, and of course the color is black :P

I do!! I like them, they are fun. Most scandinavian (Finland included) folk metal is fun music, it's music you dance with midgets and drink BARRELS, yes, WOODEN BARRELS, of ALE, not beer, ALE, to.

Well, I got a Harley Benton guitar too(but a Peavey amp), and for the price, it absolutely fucking rules. Beats my BC Rich, which was almost twice as expensive, easily.

I've heard a couple of Korpiklaani songs now. It's very... trolly... I like it. I also just heard a song from a savometal band Verjnuarmu. It's folkish-sounding metal sung with the specific Savo- accent of the finnish language. It's funny to listen to it knowing what the "usual" finnish sounds like. ^^ The song was called Laolavat Jouset, btw.
I went to see ragonforce last night and they were fucking awesome. If you ever get the chance to go see them I highly suggest it. It was really really amazing. Just lettin you guys know incase anyone can catch the end of thie tour.

I have been to some Wackens, to a couple of Grasspops (which are not POP at all!), to 3greek rockwaves and some small BM fests and NSBM fests and stuff... I have had some of the wildest, funniest, craziest and greatsest moments of my life in metal festivals.. *sigh*

Final recordings for my split with Naked Souls (WillPostForFood) is being done today. All I have to do is a bit of keyboards, bass, and singing. Notice I said singing. That's because on the split with NS, there will be NO screaming or grunting. Just singing. Yes, you heard right. Just singing. Vocals will be sparse, too; the tracklisting (for my part) goes:
Anger
Desparation
Love (is pain)
Grief (rain on my ashes)
There will be vocals on the first three, yet I suspect there will only about 4 minutes worth of vocals on the entire album (for instance, on Desparation, there will only be around 45 seconds of singing.)
Though there are 4 songs (on my side) there will be 6 songs on my side. Desparation and Love (is pain) will both be in two parts. The album will be about 25% bm, since Love (is pain) is part ambient electronica, part trip hop (I'm not sure what to call it), and part melodic bm. Anger is pure ambient bm, desparation is a glitch jam song, and grief(rain on my ashes) is an ambient track. Yes, I am experimenting a lot on this album. Yes, this will be a rather tough listen, and almost impossible for those like GC and Duffeknol, who (I presume) hate electronica with their bm.
And, to GC, it's about 1000x weirder than IWLW. Just a disclaimer.

Yeah, only because good metal is about half as popular in America than overseas. If you're lucky, you can catch a decent local show. Anal Cunt was (or still is) playing near me, but I'm going to be missing that show....

Depends on where you live...I (and you) can get into small venue shows, sometimes decent bands play there
Bars and clubs aren't always the best place anyway, just (usually) the most intimate. You just have to keep your eyes open.
