Thanks for the compliments Jarrydn, now go ahead and listen to music that you already aren't predisposed against. And I thought you weren't part of this club. Oh, and I actually LIKE Deathcrush. A lot, actually.
I'm not a part of this club. Doesn't mean I can't post in it.
And I'm not predisposed against black metal. I'm predisposed against shitty musicianship.
Go and take some kvlt pictures of your beefy chest.
Save the hatin for the player haters ball. And I don't know why people buy MORE than one album of mine if it "sucks so much". Sure, the production isn't clean, but I didn't want it to be clean. Sure, you can't hear the drums very well, but that's because they're washed over with reverb and shit like that.
And yes, you are predisposed against black metal. You said it yourself on MSN. The only BM CD you like is Mayhem- A Grand Declaration of War.
And if you don't like Enslaved, you won't like this.
Oh, and I didn't do the guitars or vocals or bass, or write much of any of the riffs Jarrydn. I just drummed.
'I didn't want it to be clean' is the biggest black metal cop-out ever.
It's only a cop-out if I was trying to make it clean. I can make a clean production if I wanted to; it's really not hard. Just overdub the hell out of it, scoop the hell out of it, and put no reverb in it. However, I love reverb, and I think clean production is pretty much shit production.
There. I said it. Goratory has a shit production. There's no mystique in it; no atmosphere. I actually think DMDS has a better production than Chimera.
And I also happen to like Chimera. And I didn't say I was predisposed. I said I hated it. Doesn't mean I can't recognise a good job well done.
If I don't like this, then I can't imagine wanting to like Enslaved.
Well, they have an overwashed production, too.
Okay, so you didn't do guitars, vocals, or bass (there was bass?). But the drums were terrible. Surely even you can admit that. And besides, I've heard your 'guitar playing' and 'vocals' before, and it sounds just as terrible as goat pervertor/asjhfiiiydfgsjd
Nice job not being able to spell Asgarður. Why is guitar playing in quotes? And the last time you heard it you said it was awesome. Right now I either don't respect you for changing your mind or don't respect you for lying to me the first time. And yes, there was bass. Probably the reason you thought the drumming sucked is that it was mixed so low you couldn't hear the snare 100% of the time, nor were my blastbeats that fast.
In fact, I have a theory. You didn't listen to it. There are several sections when the bass does several "lines" that you can easily hear due to the dissonance with the wash of guitars.
Besides, you posted not long after I posted the "free stuff" thing, and it took CowsCanBark, who has fast internet, a half an hour or so to download it. The whole thing is 24 minutes long, so I am thinking you didn't listen to it.
Anyway, here's a link to a good, affordable drum machine: http://www.acoustica.com/beatcraft/
Drum machines usually sound fake.
And just to prove that I can do black metal too, here is the song I was working on. It's incomplete, but that doesn't really matter.
That sucks dude. There's no atmosphere, no haunting melodies, nothing. It's more vapid than N' Sync. Nothing there, man.
