Would I go out my way to see the real deal? Not particularly but if they happened to be around at let's say a festival I'm at, yeah sure.
Totally agree. That's how nostalgia works, I guess ^^
I don't think I ever gave Pestilence a listen. Not sure why.
Because they have been in a pretty depressing state for many years now, but their early work is interesting. Most prefer their two earliest albums, but "Testimony" is my favourite so far.
Gojira and they're slowly warming up to me. They did get my interest with Fortitude a few years back and now I'm poking my head in with the other works they've done, particularly L'Enfant Sauvage and Magma.
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan because their stuff is spotty to me, but "L'Enfant Sauvage" turned out to be my favourite of theirs, with "Mouth of Kala" being my favourite song.
But if there's a band that I highly doubt I'll warm up to is Sleep Token. I've given them some listens before and even see them on stage for a little bit but... I don't vibe with them at all.
I only know their visuals, I don't think I've heard a single note, but I don't like how they sound even in texts I read about them :-P Don't want to judge, but don't feel the urge to check them out anytime soon.
