btw, to the black metal lovers, anyone of you ever heard Rotting Christ's "Passage to Arcturo" EP from 1991? 2 years before "Thy Mighty Contract". Raw as fuck, and there are even some oldschool DM moments to be found. Slightly sloppy but very good.

And also, the EP that Asgarður is making should have THREE songs, instead of TWO. We recorded this all acoustic song "Frigg's Love For Wecra" today. It features Branden (Leech) and James on acoustic guitars and me on drums, with all of us contributing vocals. It's awesome, it has this unshakeable pagan vibe. Especially since James and I contributed 2 vocal tracks each (Branden did one). It's all singing, and pretty good singing I might add. Tommorrow the vocals will be done for Irminsul Enchants Beowulf (#1) and then I'll mix it and then I'll have the stuff ready by saturday (the EP and the demo). All I have to say is, On Eve of Battle (the EP) is a fucking HUGE improvement. It sounds so much better and pagan (since my roots are Anglian and Celtic anyway.) The tracklisting goes as follows:

1. Irminsul Enchants Beowulf (12:12)
2. Frigg's Love For Wecra (2:08)
3. The Sword of Asgarður (10:12)

About how ridicluous Black metal and Death metal are, a gerne CANT be ridiculous. Its PEOPLE that make it ridicluous when they dress like clowns, worship some ancient horned cthonic celtic god of the 3rd harvest of fulmoon, and talk about how EVIL they are. But serious musician are ton like this. Even the ones that appear so in interviews and shit are not like that. Sakis and Andreas from Rotting watch Sex and the City (I swear its true, I SWEAR I couldnt believe my eyes but it is), the Wolfnacht gang walk around with jeans and white shirts and the singer's of Tomb Of... favorite color is yellow. They are normal, talented people, not bloodlusty poseur closet goths. So yeah, stop getting the impression the black and death scene is a circus. Thats just the ones that want to intergrate, to get accepted, and FAIL, and the ones that wanna become part of the mainstream by being talked about and gossipped.

I don't see any problem with them talking about their respective cds. I feel priveliged to be informed of the creative process that goes into making a cd, and getting a change to listen to the finished product. I think that's awesome.

Sux. If you have 200 dollars and an average compy you can get a US 122 for your compy and plug it in via USB. That's what I use, it even comes with special mixing, editing, MIDI, and mastering software.
