If we could get the Ulver of the Perdition City era to meet with the Sunn O))) of the Black One and Altar era in this collaborative project, it would be absolutely phenomenal :)

Indeed it is! It's called Terrestrials so be sure to look out for that.
This is apparently what the album art looks like.

Other than what I've already said as far as I know it's going to have 3 tracks and it will be released through Southern Lord.
Thats all I know at the moment.

Also in case anyone here hasn't heard it yet Sunn O))) & Ulver have collaborated in the past on White1.

I know of the track CUTWOODeD, but are you sure it's on the White1? Metal Archives do not list it under the White1, and in fact, I can't find much info on this collaboration. Until now I didn't knew it was a collab effort, and I thought it was some kind of unreleased material or something, since I couldn't find much about it on MA (Not like I did a lot of digging, but whatever).

Technically it is. It was a bonus track off of White1 from the White box set which has both White1 & White2.
Also on there White2 has both versions of the Decay. Decay2 (Nihils' Maw) and Decay (The Symptoms of Kali Yuga).

Yep pretty much.
Though you can get White1 off of Sunn O)))'s bandcamp and it has the song on there. I wanna say it's only $8.
It's also got Flight Of The Behemoth with 2 extra songs O))) Bow 3 and O))) Bow 4. They're from a bonus disc titled "Sunn O))) with Merzbow at Earthdom 2007" it was included with a reissue by Daymare Recordings.

According to Loudwire these are the Top 10 Metal Albums of 2013.
10. Queensryche - Queensryche (the one without Geoff Tate)
9. Ihsahn - Das Seelenbrechen
8. Kylesa - Ultraviolet
7. Motorhead - Aftershock
6. Dream Theater - Dream Theater
5. Black Sabbath - 13
4. Deafheaven - Sunbather

What are your opinions on this list? Is there anything you'd like to see added or taken out or placed differently?

I'd like to see Omnium Gatherum, Suffocation, Kataklysm, and Rotting Christ on that list. However it seems pretty unbiased so I respect it.

Meh. I didn't listen to much stuff from 2013, so I can't really complain about anything not being on the list or anything.

Kinda the same here. Though out of that list I can honestly say I have not listened to at least one track from 4 of the 10 albums listed.
Those albums being: Queensryche, Ihsahn, Dream Theater, and The Ocean.
I have Aftershock, 13, and Ultraviolet. The best song off of Ultraviolet (in my opinion) is Quicksand.

for some reason I can't seem to find the studio version of that song on YouTube....

Out of curiosity, why is it hipster? I'm not sure I'd call this album black metal really, sounds like post-metal shoegaze, but kinda an expansion on black metal. Do they dress like hipsters and cycle to gigs?

lol at the amount of metal genres nowadays, growing every year

I don't know. Apparently some black metal fans hate blackgaze, cascadian black metal, atmospheric black metal and the likes. But these guys have also released an album that is pink, they sing about emo stuff, they look hipster, etc.

I like their stuff really, and I don't ming the genre it falls under. They just seem to get a lot of hate from a certain type of metal fans.

Ya know. My sister and I were looking through my vinyls yesterday and I pulled out my copy of Bat Out Of Hell by Meatloaf.

she apparently didn't know I had it abut whatever

Well I handed it to her and she insisted on playing it on my record player. But before she did she looked at the album art and she goes to me "Ya know. This has to be one of the most metal album covers I've ever seen. But it's really deceptive once you actually listen to it."
In a way I kinda agree with her.
The opening title track has to be one of the best instances of "Opera Rock" I've ever heard though.

Yeah I guess I can kinda see that.

The rest of the album plays out mainly ballads and old timey rock n roll.

Yep it is. I've had to sit through that album a bunch of times when I was younger. My mom loves

I remember listening to that record when my brother brought up some of his friends. One of them brought his girlfriend. Her brother had died in a car crash the month before and Meat Loaf was his favorite band. She just burst out crying at Bat Out Of Hell. I felt so fucking terrible for her.

Thats....I don't even know. I feel bad about that now. And it was probably twice as bad as it would have been if you were listening to a different Meatloaf song because of what Bat Out Of Hell is about....

I can't relate to the album though. Love and sex? What the hell are those?

Same here, haha.

I've dropped a thread in the General forum to ask about this, but I doubt that I'll ever get good answers. I just wanted to know which ones of the albums by UFO were the best.

I only own Phenomenon and I love it, so I was hoping that I could get my hands on more of their material and I was just wondering where I should start.

Red Fang have officially released a new music video for the song Blood Like Cream.
It's pretty much "Red Fang vs. The Beer Zombies".
At least this is a music video that mainly focuses on beer where they DON'T die.

referring to the video for Prehistoric Dog

Though Fred Armisen does.....
