Apparently I left my email at their page at some point. I guess they're going to print a special edition of their new collection album and they're sending them out to the people who get the emails.
I want it :O How does it work ???
Eh, copy pasted form email minus links
(Please read this message to its very end!)
Dear you,
You may have heard the plans of Demilich's demo compilation have changed. If not, here are the announcements and pieces of info:
"From naivety to sheer intelligence.
From unimaginative to groundbreaking.
From amateurish to... well, less amateurish.
It will finally be available as one. Everything Demilich has ever recorded.
Demilich: 20th Adversary of Emptiness 3LP. Winter 2013."
"Let's make this official; The Demilich demo compilation will not only be a demo compilation, but will also include Nespithe. Everything we've recorded, from 1991 to 2006, in one package, with old and new artwork, available this year as a 3-LP and 2-CD. Both through Svart Records."
"The three vinyls included will be named this way: Nespithe; V34ish6ng 0f emptiness; Em9t2ness of van2s1ing."
"Dunno about the vinyl coloring, we'll be talking about that with Svart later."
"I thought the best way to get this all out is to release everything in the same package. I suppose including Nespithe doesn't add much price to it, and after all, it will be remastered (with good taste) from the original studio DAT, whereas every single Nespithe release before this has been done from the 16-bit CD version which was mastered in 1993."
"The packaging hasn't been set, yet. Most probably a box set, and possibly with Nespithe in its own jacket, and the other two in a gatefold jacket. Nespithe may have the original artwork. We'll let you know more when we know more."
...
Anyway, you once left your email address on our pages hoping to get a totally different product. There was supposed to be a demo compilation 2-LP, autographed, and limited to 397 copies. Well, things have changed.
However, we (Demilich+Svart) decided to ask if you'd still want a special edition. We would print and sell it ONLY to those who originally added their addresses on our web pages, and only to those who commit to buying it. The commitment won't be the kind of "you sign and you buy or Igor will chop your fingers off" commitment, but still, if you tell about your will to buy this one, we expect you to buy it. Otherwise we'll end up having lots of special edition sets to burn on a bonfire. Remember that this one will never be sold to anyone else but you who got this email. There will be anything from 500 to 1500 copies, but we expect it to be less than 1000.
We don't have facts about how the special edition will differ from the normal LP set. The price should be the same, or if it's notably more expensive to print, it'll only be slightly more expensive to you. We don't even know what the normal set will cost, so please don't ask. Just speculate, if that's what you like to do. Anyway, it'll be different, and will be a rarity. We'll most probably number it, and three original members of Demilich will autograph them all.
So, think about this for a moment. We'll collect the addresses for a couple of weeks and see if there's the demand. If not, there won't be any special edition.
If you think you want to commit to buying the thing, please head to the address below, and fill in the exact address that you originally gave (and which received this email.) That's all you have to do for now. We'll let you know more later.
Yours,
Antti Boman, the benign dictator of Demilich
