You could also try giving us a clue on just what the fuck you are talking about...

Bathory is awesome, even though, honestly, I think Quorthon sometimes may have messed up the vocals a tad, at least on Nordland.

...wut?
Speaking of which, they released a new album last month that I still haven't heard.

What happened was for some reason my computer decided to single out just the track Synen out of everything I have by them and labeled it as "Christian Gangsta Rap".

Well, when you download from the Internet and then put stuff on music programs like iTunes, sometimes you'll have stuff written in the description, you'll have the genre classification that was given to the track by the user who made the album downloadable.

Yeah you have a point....I also have an Overkill live album thats labeled at "Blues" too, haha.
Although. My mom once had the soundtrack to the movie Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and it said a song was "Death Metal" and she ripped that right off the cd.
This song to be precise.
I never knew Donny Osmond was such a Brutal singer.

Ive had a thing like that. Once upon a time I got a Marilyn Manson and it was labeled as Death Metal. I lold for quite some time.
When I die. It will be in a blaze of glory.
Zune has really fucked up my genres before and insisted that I didn't mean to change them. My Zune has been dead for months, though, and I think I have to get another new charger.
Wanna know something insane?
I'm closing in on the 92 minute mark while listening to Dopesmoker.
Once.
The song has just....never ended.
I've just added
In The Nightside Eclipse by Emperor
Scream Bloody Gore by Death
and
Norrøn Livskunst by Solefald
to my music library. Can't wait to listen to all that great stuff!

Such great albums.
I decided to check out Deicide recently after hearing great things, but... I don't know. Their first album bored me honestly, and I'm not too eager to check out the rest. Thoughts on Deicide?

I haven't listened to a lot of their newer albums but I really like the debut, Legion, and Once upon the cross. Their first album is actually my favorite death metal album of all time.

I am unfamiliar with it, so I excluded it from my exclamation.

Ive always loved Deicide. Very brutal band, theyre lastest album "To Hell With God" IMO was VERY good, I loved it.
Lots of aggression, speed and hateful messages.
The way Death Metal should be.

In the eyes of Sense, you have purposefully singled it out to indirectly tell us how shitty you think this album is!

You should check out Solefald, SaltshakerClock. They're consistently brilliant.

I stopped listening to a lot of bands that base every song off of hatred for a religion, I don't know I just grew out of that whole thing. Way I see it its a live and let live, I do agree that organized religion breeds corruption, however I do not believe it is right to bash ones spiritual belief. That just feeds the whole divide and conquer agenda so we always fight with each other and never come together to fix the issues of our world, I guess you could say I've grown in a way. I will say that I loved Dead by Dawn by Deicide, Evil Dead is one of my favorite horror movies ( Ive yet to see the new one) and Homage For Satan is the sound death metal should have.
I don't care if bands have anti-religious or blasphemous lyrics or whatever. I'm just listening for the sound. The racial supremacy and racism and what have you, though, is different.
The Absolute Guide To Progressive Metal
What do you guys think of this?

I wasnt talking about the theme of hatred of religion, I meant all around hate. It works for Death Metal very well.
Thats what some of my new music is about, rejoining as a people and taking back our world. Its what we need to do and it what we should have done a LONG time ago.
You know me Nick Im all about united religions and cultures.

Two things
1. Two songs have been released off the upcoming Motorhead album "Aftershock".
Heartbreaker
Crying Shame
2. Since I know there are some people on here who are fond of them. King Crimson have gotten back together with a new lineup consisting of: Porcupine Tree drummer Gavin Harrison, second drummer Bill Rieflin of R.E.M, bassist Tony Levin, third drummer Pat Mastelotto, Mel Collins on saxophone, multi-instrumentalist Jakko Jakszvk, and (obviously) Robert Fripp on guitar.

Do you know if they are they planning on releasing any new material with that line-up?

Not that I know of. I know they're going to be touring with that line-up but as for new material I suppose anything is possible.
Also Rush are going to being going on an "extended break" til 2015 at the earliest. Geddy said it's because they've been touring a ton for the past few years and also because it's gotten to the point where he and the rest of the band hardly ever sees their families anymore so they feel they need to take a break for a bit.
A bunch of metal and hard rock musicians are getting together and doing a Micheal Jackson tribute album.
The tracklisting (plus artists performing on said tracks is as follows):
01. Thriller - Chuck Billy (Testament)
02. Man in the Mirror - Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria) and Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big)
03. The Way You Make Me Feel - Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) and Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio)
04. Black or White - Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust), Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS) and Tony Franklin (The Firm)
05. Beat It - Priya Panda (Diemonds) and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (Guns N' Roses)
06. Billy Jean - Corey Glover (Living Colour) and Phil Campbell (Motorhead)
07. Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground) - Elias Soriano (Nonpoint)
08. Rock With You - Doug Pinnick (King's X)
09. Dirty Diana - Chris Jericho (Fozzy)
10. Bad - Paul Di'Anno (ex-Iron Maiden) and Craig Goldy (Dio)

I'm not so sure that I like that idea...
So Kirk Windstein has officially left Down and is going back to focusing 100% on Crowbar.

Ah come on. You know you've always wanted to hear Chuck Billy sing Thriller.
At 10/1/13 11:41 PM, Entice wrote: can you plz give me recommendations for paganish stoner psychedelic themed bands
Normally I'd be able to give a recommendation on this but I'm drawing a blank for some reason.
The only band I can think of is Blood Ceremony but they're more Occultish Stoneresque Psychedelic Doom Metal.
the singer can also play the flute like Ian Anderson.
Relapse Records have released a new sampler for bands on their roster.
It includes music by bands such as:
Red Fang, Windhand, Baroness, Toxic Holocaust, ASG, Black Tusk, Lord Dying, Howl, Coffins, etc.
It can be downloaded here.

I guess Uncle Acid would count as Psychedelic Stoner Doom too. Mainly on Bloodlust and Mind Control.
But they're more "Retro Doom" than anything.
