I've not felt the desire to explore their post-Euronymus material so far in my life, but I've explored their early demos, live albums and their only full-lenght with Euronymus and I also really like some of their material from that era. Some of the tracks from Live In Leipzig are quite enjoyable, especially Freezing Moon, Pure Fucking Armageddon and Funeral Moon. Dead's vocals are very interesting to say the least :)

I find there's actually quite a lot of merit to their post Euro works, namely Wolf's Lair Abyss and Chimera. Both were quite competent and, in their own way, technical albums.

I have to agree with Ghoul. They're very interesting and have inspired me with alot of my recent Black Metal-esc songs.

Has anybody heard of a older band called Impetigo? I seen an album cover "The Horror of the Zombies" that caught my eye and am currently getting them. Can anybody give me a thumbs up or down?

I've read somewhere that Wolf's Lair Abyss contains a lot of Euronymus riffs. Is that true? And wouldn't that be consider ripping off?

It's actually a really good album. Granted I'd say its not as good as their previous album Busse Woods but its still not bad.

For that matter what is that band like? Ive never heard of them, are they like Acid Bath?

They're a female fronted Stoner Doom band that formed kinda around the same time as Acid Bath

Acid Bath formed in I wanna say 91 whereas Acid King formed in 93

Heres links to the songs off of the album if you wanna give it a listen

1. 2 Wheel Nation
2. Heavy Load
3. Bad Vision
4. War Of The Mind
5. Into The Ground
6. On To Everafter
7. Sunshine And Sorrow

I've had this idea for a while, but I wasn't sure if it would work, but I'm going to try it anyway. So, I'm asking you guys to make a list of countries that come to your mind and for each country you must choose one band.

Portugal :
- Process of Guilt

Sweden
- Cult of Luna

Finland
- Insomnium

Norway
- Blood Red Throne

Iceland
- Solstáfir

United Kingdom
- Anaal Nathrakh

Poland
- Behemoth

Germany
- Ahab

France
- Gojira

Italy
- Fleshgod Apocalypse

Greece
- Rotting Christ

U.S.A.
- Mastodon

Canada
- Ex Deo

Well, not very inspired right now, I may complete my list later, but I'm leaving here the idea.

So like make a list of random countries and then put a band under it?
Like if I put France and then put Les Discrets or Amesoeurs underneath it.

I guess we portuguese are kind of used to that, americans particularly think we belong to Spain, very sad, Portugal is even older than Spain as a whole country.

You don't even know Moonspell? They're surely the most successful band in Portugal, however only their older albums and the most recent are really worth checking out, because they started as a folk/black metal band but then they moved on to gothic metal which was kind of a shitty period in their career, and finally they went in a not so bad melodic/symphonic black metal direction in their 3 latest albums, however the last album has 2 cd's, Alpha Noir more black metal oriented and Omega White, which goes in a gothic metal and even goth rock direction.

The band I chose for Portugal, Process of Guilt is also one of the best metal acts in this country, they supported A Storm of Light when they played here, really intense Doom/Sludge.

One of my favourite black metal bands is also portuguese, Corpus Christii, they have a very interesting sound with a depressive approach.

Mourning Lenore is also worth checking out, very nice Death/Doom.

And if you're into Industrial Rock, oh boy, Bizarra Locomotiva, the most amazing shit around here.

Omitir, also a very good black metal band from here.

And to support my drummer and because I really like his project, VRT139, Black Metal with Lusitanian themes, because vikings were not the only badasses around, and they never dared to mess with the lusitanians!
