And I'm actually surprised to see symphonic black, brutal death and melodic death metal on your list. As you accused these genres of bein obsoleted and boring. Otherwise, the bands you've listed are mostly not metal bands. And this is where shit starts to get ugly. Cause, understand us well, we do not give a fuck if they are metal or not. We're not saying they are unworthy of existing, but just like we have to tell all the metalcore, deathcore and post-hardcore fans, this isn't called the Metal Hell for no reason. Attack Attack!, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Vanna, Alesana, A Day to Remember, Thrice, Escape The Fate, Protest The Hero, Norma Jean, The Chariot, etc. These bands are not metal bands. Kicking and screaming, calling us names and telling us we don't know what true metal is doesn't make a difference.
You want to argue that Bullet For My Valentine has some british heavy metal roots, that's totally fine with me.
Boris, Ulver, Beyond Creation, Apokatastasia, Dark Tranquillity, Accept, Sigh, Anaal Nathrakh, Mastodon, High On Fire, Death, Miserere Luminis, Cynic, ISIS, Children Of Bodom, Warning, Gorguts, Hammers Of Misfortune, Arcturus... those are the kind of bands that we discuss here. And if you think these bands are all shit, than I'm sorry to tell you that you might just not like metal. And that's just fine, but you don't need to call us hipsters for liking bands that you don't.
