That band won't be warmly received. There is apparently a stigma associated with every band that calls themself hardcore/metalcore. Plus they weren't that good anyway.

i've noticed :( but yes i think job for a cowboy is really good. but was bleeding through considered metalcore/hardcore? i used to like them but their new album is shit

Bleeding Through is indeed metal, teh metalcore tew be exact. And metalcore is a good genre, it's great for parties and such where the crowd isn't dominantly metalheads.

Yeah, bleeding through would be considered hard/metalcore. Not that I have a problem with it. This place is just full of true metalheads who think that people value their negativity towards people with a more diverse taste in music ;)

My stance on this is, if it's metal, listen to it. I don't like hardcore or nu-metal, but I'm not going to flame the hell out of someone who does.

Wrong ;) I just flame people who think that mallcore and hardcore is metal. I listen to electronica and classical in addition to metal. ;) I don't mind people listening to things other than metal, as long as they acknowledge it's not metal.
