Make up your own genres then !

I could.....
But at the moment I'm trying to figure out what "2006-New" means....
I say this because I have an album by the band Growing on my computer, and no matter what I do it always has that listed as the genre. I even got a mp3 tag editor and the songs for that album are the only ones that WILL NOT change when I go in and try to change it to something else. Well that and one song by the band Truckfighters....it's listed as Rock when everything else by them is listed as "Stoner Rock".

Don't you hate it when stuff on your computer acts like it's independant and shit...

I think the funniest track is either track 2 or 7.

Ya know i've always wondered this.
How can a one man band "split-up"?

No clue. Might just be a generic term to say "not making new music". Generaly meaning that the band, usually composed of more than one musician, isn't performing the principal act that defines a music band which is to write music. Therefore the word split-up is used. But that just brings us back to defining the word band. Can we call an individual a band ? I think not. We should say artist and assume that the band's name is the artist name of the musician. "What about One-Man-Bands like Xasthur in which the musician also has a stage name like Malefic ?" you might ask. I say fuck them.

It's weird...I mean I guess they'd just be an artist but then again if they're playing multiple instruments that just confuses me more than if they'd be just an artist. Generally whenever I think of someone being an "artist" when it comes to music I'd imagine like...one person and one instrument. I mean I suppose artist would work either way if say they're playing either one or multiple instruments for whatever it is they're doing.

But whatever I'm tired ._.
I didn't even know what I was saying during half of that haha xD

All I could say was "What the fuck?" and I too can't stop laughing at that. I thought Iron Maiden nudity (well, covered up) was insane enough. Oh, don't click on that link if you don't want your eyes ruined or some shit.

Makes me think, has anybody ever corpse painted their dick before? The thought of somebody getting an Abbath paint on their knob amuses me to no end.

Also, I know they aren't exactly metal (crossover maybe), but does anyone like the band Gang Green? Awesome shit, sounds like they finished what Chuck Berry wrote in slate.

Hello again.

I don't listen to metal much anymore - because I do too many drugs now and that shit hurts my high, but there will always be a place deep in my soul for it. Metal is something that finds it's way inside the core of your heart, and you can feel it's energy coursing through your veins. It becomes part of who you are, and you are proud of be part of it. Metal, in all it's brutality, is still a brotherly passion. Metalheads never die, and the Metal Hell helped me find something to be proud of.

I browsed through the past couple pages and recognized only bahamut, mr. duff, and ElGhoulio - who could only be the ghoul. Maybe sense-offender could be idiosyncratic??

I was waiting for a movie to finish loading, and Newgrounds popped into my head. Thought I'd log in and check the BBS and you guys are STILL on the front page. That's awesome.

Just wanted to give ya'll props on stayin alive. Stay brutal my friends.

Darkestrah vs. Chthonic - which one do you think is better?

I've been kind of debating this myself, mainly comparing Darkestrah's "The Great Silk Road" and Chthonic's "Takasago Army". Both bands play very similar styles and come from similar areas - Darkestrah from Kyrgyzstan and Chthonic from Taiwan. Hell, they even both have a female band member.

I'd like to say that I lean a little more towards one or the other but I can't seem to do that - even though there are obvious differences between the two. So guys, which one do you think is better and why? (Assuming you are familiar with both, if you're not you can always check them out)

Telling him he's wrong isn't rude. Except if you insert the words "dickwad" and "fuckin' retard" in the sentence.

People like that make me cry a little inside. I've tried to get people into metal before, but many of them are just too hung up on the perceptions they have of what metal is and some of them think hard rock classifies as metal. That frustrated me to no end. Because of people like that, I can see where metal elitists come from. And I don't necessarily blame them.

In other news, I picked up Kamelot's new album. I did it on a whim, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I think it's probably their best work since The Black Halo. So, any fans should check it out.

Well... as long as MTV dickwads will keep calling Marylin Manson and Slipknot "metal", what do you expect from the average joes ?

In a lot of people's mind, all you need to be a metal band is an electric guitar, distortion and an attitude. No wonder why some dipshits still argue NOWADAYS that Limp Bizkit is a metal band.

Yeah, I was surprised too. The new guy sounds pretty much like Khan, and I feel like the song writing has been energized. I never really like Poetry for the Poisoned or the Ghost Opera, so I guess it's up to the listener.

How old was he? Sounds pretty uneducated to me... Hopefully he grows up and realizes the stupidity of those words, we've all gotta learn sometime.

Unless he was over fourteen, in which case you should have treated him like a country.

For the record, that guy looked about 40 or 50 or so so he wasn't a young one or anything. Also Provoke, I'd be forgiving if he said Alice in Chains. At least from what I heard on Dirt they have at least some heavy metal elements to them. Mind you, I still need to hear the rest of their stuff. I only got Dirt because of the discovery with their music being sampled on Doom II.
