I honestly have no idea what the hell "Fuzz Rock" is....

The reason being that "Stoner Rock" isn't metal. I didn't really label the genre as Stoner Rock though.....
I tried objecting the rejection and someone said they deemed the band "Fuzz Rock"
Yeah well, you are fucking dumb ! You know they only accept metal bands on Metal Archives !

But seriously, their policies are utterly stupid at times, particularly with reviews. The worst is the inconsistency with old rock bands. You can have Deep Purple and Rush on there but not Led Zeppelin or Uriah Heep? Hell, supposedly a band called Praying Mantis are meant to be a good example of NWOBHM yet they're not on the site. At least we can work around not putting reviews on the site but for the encyclopaedia resources, that isn't an easy one.
Gonna be going to get Apocryphon later today :3
It's gonna be awesome haha

I don't see why they blacklisted The Atomic Bitchwax, Monster Magnet, Dust, Suck, or Fu Manchu. Granted Fu Manchu is more Stoner Rock than metal...but still you get my point. Granted I can somewhat see why the band I was trying to submit on there was rejected, but it's still stupid that they don't even have Led Zeppelin on there when they deserve to be on there as much as anyone else. The band I was trying to submit is Truckfighters.
I don't even bother getting mad over the archives anymore. Not worth it. If you really want to get a band known, just use word of mouth on the forums.
I'm just glad they rooted out some of the Finntards out that seem to had been a problem a few years back. Every time you argue with them, it's the "i'm a veteran, fuck you, i know what metal is, i went to a demilich concert" argument.
So I got Apocryphon. Ended up spending like $4 extra for the deluxe edition because it had 5 more tracks. 4 live versions of their songs and a cover of Cheap Sunglasses by ZZ Top.
Also while I was there I found and ended up buying a copy of...Never Say Die! on cd from 1988. It fucked up a bit in the beginning of the first track and a bit on the last one but i wiped the back off a bit and the first song started working fine. It was only $3 too xD

I think elitism is kind of a problem in the metal community. It's even more stupid because there really is no completely accurate criteria for what makes something metal.
Oh, Duff, I looked into that Beyond Creation band you mentioned and I really like them. They're a little more progressive than I'm used to in death metal.

Yeah...but I like it. Same with all Ozzy Era Sabbath.
Ya just gotta listen to it enough. Granted no amount of listens will get me to like Born Again even half as much as Never Say Die or Technical Ecstasy.....
At a local garage sale, I found Pantera's Beyond Driven and Great Southern TrendKill. I personally love both albums with a fiery passion, but once I started playing them at home my roommate barged in and shut it off and calling it the "nu hardcore shit". Any comments on that?
You ever watch The Omen?
If so re-enact the scene with the person and the window.
I don't care for the groove metal stuff that Pantera did. Cowboys From Hell is fantastic, but I think it's the only really good Pantera album. Power Metal is an alright album, though.

nah. I rarely use FB. I just use it now and then to keep in touch with people.
Also, you wouldn't like the band. I know you have a severe distaste for certain political motivations/allegiances in terms of music and...yeah.
oic

That pretty much sums up my feelings on them. There is a couple songs from Vulgar Display of Power that are enjoyable.

HeavenDuff do you still want that Godspeed You Black Emperor album?
I've only listened to Vulgar and Cowboys. I feel that's all that's necessary.
Not gonna lie...the only Pantera album I have is Vulgar Display Of Power.
My sister was going to get my Cowboys From Hell but it was scratched TO hell.

Well its not really that...it's mostly that for some ODD reason I can't find any Pantera around here....
I have the first like 8 seconds of Rebel Rebel by David Bowie as my ringtone. On my last phone I had Eruption as my ringtone.

My ringtone is Dancing Mad. Hearing Kefka's laugh everytime I get a call is awesome. And as for the newer Pantera stuff, my problem is it all sounds like a rehash of earlier works. Whereas Cowboys and Vulgar still feel fresh. Whenever I hear their stuff past that, I think, "Man, this is is pretty decent, but their earlier stuff is better."

Give it as in send the album through mail ? :O
But I got the album for I like to support bands like GY!BE. Plus, their albums arts are always great, the booklets are special and unique... Good purchase, really :)

No... ._.
If I had a physical copy of it it would be mine! O:

I seriously need to go and get more physical copies of the stuff I have, but some of the stuff I have is going to be REALLY hard to get. Like that Legend album Bahamut gave me a link for. But I'm starting to get more physical copies of stuff.
I also gotta find a way to switch my vinyls over to digital stuff and put them on my computer. Because I have a stack of around like seventy-five 33 1/3s in my room alone, then I have some in a drawer in another room, some in a record player because theres a gap big enough to fit a ton of them in it because its one of those big floor....record...player things thats like 4 feet wide. And then i got a box full of 45s.

Cemetary Gates. It is so unlike anything else they have done that even non fans can like it. But I really like the song Primal Concrete Sledge, just for its fast paced thrashiness.

For me it's either Walk or I'm Broken.
Walk because I can play most of it.
I'm Broken because I used to go for walks at like midnight and for some ODD reason it kept popping into my head out of nowhere

On the subject of Pantera, some of their "glam" stuff is good, and Cowboys from Hell is an excellent album. But other than that, I'm not a really big fan.
Also, not metal, but what do you guys think of this? Random, I know, but it's sparked my interest.

Cowboys is a great album. My favorite song on it is probably the Sleep.
