And now they cancelled the rest of their European Tour because of it.
I hope everyone gets well soon.
I heard about this when I got back tonight. Shocking news indeed and I only hope everyone involved in the accident will have a quick recovery.

Yeah, I've heard about them making some big collaborations with others. Not that I've heard any of them but I trust they do nothing absurd like Lulu...
So yeah, new Immolation coming out 2013. Can't fucking wait. You guys should listen to them, because due to the fact they aren't mentioned here often, I assume you guys don't know them. That would be criminal, cuz they make some pretty good shit.

Lulu is not just a regular turd. It's a composed turds. It contains the worst elements of both Metallica and Lou Reed.
Just a selected fews from my personnal library (I will post a picture with more albums later).
What do you guys think ?

I've been looking all over the place for that but NO ONE has any Electric Wizard CDs other than Black Masses and Witchcult Today.
Your pic reminded me that I need more metal related cds

I've listened to their latest album which for death metal I liked quite a bit. Should go back to it again sometime.

I like that I can recognise half of the albums there. :) I'd make a personal library but that would mean having to make a huge mess on my nicely ordered CDs and there's over 800 and growing to go through on a seasonal basis.

If you like those songs you'll like the rest.
Also, not to spam but I would really like some critizim on my new song.

Even though we should really stop looking at Cryptopsy this way, we the fans of the first two albums tend to look at all of their newer work with criteria based on these masterpieces. We should try looking at this from another perspective, even though it's though. This isn't Lord Worm era good, but it isn't horrible or totally bland. I will listen to more tracks when it finaly comes out and try to keep an open mind toward it.

Man, I dunno why people can't like non-Worm Cryptopsy. Whisper Supremacy was pretty fucking great (And Then You'll Beg was kinda meh though). I think it's less the fact Worm is the vocalist and more that people worship their first two albums. You don't really see people raving about Once Was Not (which I personally really like).New Cryptopsy is simply ok, but it's really an improvement if you look at it compared to TUK.
Only just read about Baroness, best of wishes to them.

The first two albums also had Jon Levasseur. Having both musicians at the same time might or might not have made these two albums so great. But these albums were just flawless. There was no other death metal like this, and there is still none. I can tell from the first 3 seconds of any track on None So Vile that this is Cryptopsy.
Newer stuff, except for The Unspoken King was rather ok. But it wasn't as good as they first two albums. And how can you blame fans for digging their earlier stuff so much and expecting the band to redo what they have done on None So Vile or Blasphemy Made Flesh ?

I looked in your audio area on your profile, but didn't see anything called Graveyard Metal.
So I'm assuming it's somewhere else?

I don't have that many storebought CDs, but I have a bunch of burned CDs and I have a SHITLOAD of albums on my Zune. Right now, my Zune has 10,136 songs and there are still several albums to be added to it.
The song was pretty good, Blackdoom.

Having burned CDs sitting around along with everything else I have wouldn't feel right. The only album I have downloaded and listened to heavily is Slough Feg's self-titled record. That's only because the album is so damn rare and they've only done a recent vinyl re-release for it; no CD. Even then, I won't officially declare it as part of my collection until I truly have it. I know, I have OCD issues with this. :P

Metal sucks !
Burzum - Tuisto's Herz
Two albums I'm really hooked on right now:
Agalloch's The Mantle - The more I'm listening to it the better the whole album is for me. Would like to get some more Agalloch once my money has made some recovery.
Dawnbringer's Into the Lair of the Sun God - The concept album has some silliness to it but it's one that stands out and all nine tracks flow well together. Usually I only give new albums I get 10-12 listens but these two have well exceeded that. Dawnbringer's new album is easily my best for 2012 so far.

Except for that Smeagol incident...

I was just reading the lyrics to the three parts of She Painted Fire Across The Skyline by Agalloch, the other night. And these lyrics are just magnificient. Three sections in particular always hit me when I hear them.
"My life has been left hollow and ashes have filled the gorge of my within. Last night I hoped and wished I'd die in my sleep but no catharsis was granted to me. Will this pain ever pass? The enchanting perfume of winter and the bleak, cold breath of her still haunts me..."
This is from the part one. John Haughm often refers to themes involving and revolving around struggle between a pain of life or existential anxiety and admiration for life, nature, love, etc. These lyrics really touch me, for this is kind of what I feel often in life.
"As a bird I watched her from my cold tower in the heavens, and when she fell from the northplace, I flew down and embraced her. I took her where the snow falls forever, she showed me the haunted woods. We gathered together in the oaken palace, free from both death and life."
This is from part 2, and if I like the whole section, the last line in particular is what makes me shiver. Still embrassing the same lyrical theme as from part 1, Haughm refers to a place that is between life an death. I never managed to organize my thoughts like this before I read these lyrics. Isn't it how you feel when you are so sad you just don't want to live anymore ? You do not really want to stop living, but you want to be free'd from all that makes your life miserable. You think about suicide, but what you really are thinking about is in fact... a place between death and life... True poetry from John Haughm right here. I love it.
"I ran away far into the woods. To find the Sol, I called to her... I don't want to be forgotten... I never wanted to be human! NEVER!!!
From part 3. Struggling with life. Not wanting to kill yourself, but wondering why you were ever here. So painful to be human. Also, in this section John H. uses a mythological figure in the lyrics. I love it. I like the connection between Agalloch, nature, mythology, life and death.
Anybody who still haven't heard Pale Folklore is missing out on a huge masterpiece. Go get it :)
Pink Floyd - Welcome to the Machine
I've been listening to a lot of metal recently, and getting into the more extreme stuff for the first time.
The following are some of my favorite metal bands so far in no particular order (including but not limited to several not-so-extreme bands):
- Metallica
- Slayer
- Iron Maiden
- Pantera
- Death
- Morbid Angel
- Amon Amarth
- Deicide
- In Flames
- Dark Tranquility
