I hardly come here, but I grace you with my presence to bring you this message:
The new Faceless album will highly likely disappoint. It's leaked. Guitars sound too fragile, too much clean vocals and too much meddling with them too.
Boop the snoot
Hey quick question for anyone who reads this.
Can someone here recommend me any Stoner or Doom Metal bands? I feel I dont have enough....even though together i have somewhere around 165 hours worth of just those together on my computer xD

I only listen to a ouple of stoner bands, you might have heard them, but I'll suggest em in case you've missed em.

For Doom metal, I'd suggest:
Candlemass
Ahab
Evoken
Saint Vitus
Trouble
Solstice
Doomsword
My Dying Bride
Proud Demon residing in the METAL HELL!
Lay down your soul for the god's rock n' roll!

For Doom metal, I'd suggest:
Candlemass
I need to listen to more Candlemass....
Saint Vitus
Trouble
I love Trouble and Saint Vitus
Ahab
Evoken
Solstice
Doomsword
My Dying Bride
I'll give these bands a listen after I finish listening to this Reverend Bizarre album.

you should check out Psyclon 9 then. They kick so much fucking ass, I don't know if I wanna dance or headbang when I hear them. Plus they're from the SF bay area. FUCK YEA SF BITCHES
I was bangin mah head, when Metallica was still killing the "all you can eat' salad bar at Burger King, and splitting burgers between them. So I say howdy, I hope you all do fine!
But I had to come because this lyric translation just twisted my nipple, and I had to share. I'm not dedicated enough to run a foreign lyric sheet through Google Translate, let alone try and accept unknown words while I'm trying to groove (a moral setback on my part).
http://spikedemonic23.newgrounds.com/news/post/745003#commen ts The band is a popular German 'Dark' Metal band of some renown, and the lyrics are as accurate as the translator could piece together, and still keep the rhyme and meter.
Vault 101 I have (LOST) many old and deleted Flash submissions, (you can't) PM me (dammit Tom) the filename, maybe I (godhelpmeonedayIwill) got it.

I listened to the new album and thought it was radical, they're going with a more prog approach rather than pure technicality. I really liked Planetary Duality too. From what I've seen of the live videos the guitarist can pull off the cleans pretty well.
Metal Archives has just accepted my review for Disarmonia Mundi's album named Fragments of D-Generation. If you read it, can you give me some feedback ?

If there's one stoner metal related band I could possibly suggest, it's Bongripper but even then I've only listened to Satan Worshipping Doom. As for doom metal, I have the following you could possibly look into:
Anguish (SWE) - Debut album has a few Epicus vibes to it. Worth checking out!
Condenados - Provide good epic doom metal with some songs spoken in Spanish.
Dantesco - A more operatic version of Doomsword is how I describe them. Another band that sings in Spanish. It's hard to choose one album but I'd go with the debut album De La Mano De La Muerte.
Procession - Definitely like the first two tracks from their debut album.

They go without saying, really but if you look beyond the first two albums, the best I've heard are self-titled and Ancient Dreams. Death Magic Doom is also good.
Solstice
YES!!! This band is so good yet they've done very little. Only two albums released so far and one clearly pisses over the other. New Dark Age is essential doom metal and it comes with some damn good covers; one of them being Iron Maiden's The Prophecy. Besides gorging over a cover, this album is full of monstrous doom metal tracks and even when winding down with interludes and the acoustic ballad, the music still shines a lot. I ought to review this album but I've already put my site on hiatus.
Doomsword
Best album I can suggest to anyone wanting to try out them: Go with Resound the Horn. Your average viking metal do not sound like true vikings here.
Hmm lets see. Out of Zodir's list of bands I actually liked all of the bands except My Dying Bride...I don't know why.
I mean I was okay with them but I really can't explain it....

I'll be sure to check them out. Can't go wrong with some Spanish doom metal.
Hell I already listen to stuff thats: French, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, German, Ukrainian, and a bunch of other languages.

Then I guess i'll give ya a few of my favorite bands.
Electric Wizard, Red Fang, Kyuss, Melvins, Earth, High On Fire, Sleep, Stoned Jesus, Fu Manchu, Orange Goblin, Baroness, Torche, Reverend Bizarre, Karma To Burn, Pelican, Acid Bath, Saint Vitus, Orchid, Truckfighters, Bison B.C., Isis, Priestess, Black Tusk, Pentagram, Kylesa, Yob, Megasus, Black Pyramid, Lord Vicar, Sunn O))), Egypt, Shrinebuilder, Cough, Bathory, Windhand, and Blood Ceremony
Also if you're into bands like Dinosaur Jr (although they're more Indie Rock) you could also try out Witch.
Their drummer is the singer/guitarist from Dinosaur Jr J. Mascis.

I'm not huge on them either but they do have their moments. I suppose if you're not so familiar with them they can be a heavy listen. Those kind of albums seem to need a lot more time to digest than others.
Hell I already listen to stuff thats: French, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, German, Ukrainian, and a bunch of other languages.
I don't restrict myself from any form of language. It just so happens I've found a few Spanish speaking doom metal bands. Folk metal I have a fair amount of Finnish from there and you don't even need an explanation for that.

You should already know about Boris, but if you don't I highly suggest you check them out. Start with their Sludge/Stoner Rock/Doom Metal albums, like Pink, Heavy Rocks, Akuma No Uta, etc. And then you could try their Drone Doom and Sludge Doom material, like Absolutego, Dronevil and Amplifier Worship.
If all that stuff is too heavy, than try their Dreampop/J-pop/Stoner Rock material on Attention Please and New Album :P Which are rather good albums for real. It seems that no matter what genre they play, they still manage to be a kick ass band. Their guitarist Wata, for instance, is one of my all time favorites guitarists.
You should also check out Thorr's Hammer EP. It's pretty good. Death/Doom at it's best.
Also... Satan Worshipping Doom by Bongripper is one of the best Doom Metal albums in the whole fuckin' world !
Om makes solid Stoner Doom.
Sleep also makes good Stoner Doom.
And Warning makes good Emo Doom.

I too gave a pretty long list of bands. And I was looking for more bands too. xD
You could try Truckfighters. I personally like their first album Gravity X. Their other stuff is pretty good too. So if you get to like them a little you could always try them out as well, and if not then eh at least I suggested something.
I got the latest Animals as Leaders album, which is good stuff. And I got Zero Order Phase by Jeff Loomis, which features Ron Jarzombek as a guest on the track, Jato Unit. It's a sick track. And I finally got the latest Vektor album.

I still haven't heard it, actually. But I've been meaning to get it.
Just picked up Behemoth's "Evangelion" album from the local shop. Money well spent. This album is seriously fucking awesome.

I've never really looked into Boris and I really should. Perhaps I'll start off with the sludge metal albums of theirs to try and adapt to them.
And Warning makes good Emo Doom.
Wait, EMO Doom? That can't go down well. I will say that I do have Watching from a Distance but the one song that seems to be most effective is Footprints. It really outshines the rest of the album.

Did anyone else hear about what happened with Baroness?

And now they cancelled the rest of their European Tour because of it.
I hope everyone gets well soon.

Boris has such a huge and confusing discography. It's easy to get lost. They have a ton of splits with different bands and artists. They have collaborative work with Sunn O))) and also with Merzbow and more. They have a lot of full lenght albums, but also EPs of various types. Some are remix albums of previous material. You also have to consider the fact that they play and mix at least 8 different musical genres. That can also be confusing as fuck. If you want so help going through their discography, just ask me. I'm starting to know them better... even though there is still some stuff I haven't heard yet.

I guess I didn't make it too obvious that I was joking. It's not a bad album by any means. In fact, I should give it another listen sometime.

At least it's Death Metal. And it wasn't that bad. Some of the riffs were cool. I might give the album a listen when it comes out.
Any of you guys hear the debut album of Ne Obliviscaris? I picked it up a few days ago and I am really enjoying it.

Yeah, I've heard about them making some big collaborations with others. Not that I've heard any of them but I trust they do nothing absurd like Lulu...
