The band's called Hysteria, I think. He offered me a beer, but I'm taking vicodin for a few broken bones in my left foot so I politely turned it down.

So you are liking The Mantle :) That's cool ! Are you interrested in Agalloch's EPs or do you want to go for the full lenght albums first ? I'm asking because Agalloch released an EP after The Mantle named The Grey. It is composed of two remixed tracks from The Mantle, which are The Lodge and Odal. These two remixes are more Drone/Post-Rock oriented then Agalloch's usual stuff. I know it isn't one of their most popular, but I find it to be a quite interresting experiment.

Otherwise, if you really want to go for another album, I'd recommand Ashes Against The Grain, since The Mantle was your first album... I think it's the most logical way to go.

I won't rule out their EPs entirely. Infact, I may end up getting all their EPs eventually but I'll focus on the other three albums and then consider the EP releases. Faustian Echoes does sound tempting regardless of where I am with picking up their other three studio albums.

Otherwise, if you really want to go for another album, I'd recommand Ashes Against The Grain, since The Mantle was your first album... I think it's the most logical way to go.

Looking at Amazon, Ashes Against The Grain seems to be the hardest album to get out of the four. I'm better off with a third party seller for that since the lowest is around 8 pounds.

I think Faustian Echoes will be harder to get. I myself only managed to get it at their concert. Talking about the concert, I should have brought a hundred bucks to get some of their merchs. There was a t-shirt I wanted to buy for my girlfriend and one for myself, plus the new EP to get and also John Haughm's collab with Mattias Grassow and finaly the Self Spiller album, which is a side-project of Jason William Walton, Agalloch's bassist. One or two posters would have been nice also.

Anyway. Even if you managed to find their new EP. I wouldn't recommand it. At least not as one of the first releases you should check out by them. While it really retains Agalloch's uniqueness, it isn't their best by any means. On their full lenght albums they really display how much song-writting and playing skills they have.

this has been one of the greatest weekends of my life.
i am in a new band
signed to Depressive Illusions Records
still have Lucifer's Lightbulb as well.
also..my bro's band Alehammer have a new disc coming out soon...and a possible collaboration in the future.
few other labels want me to submit tracks as well..hell yeah i love this
since i came out of retirement things are going better than i imagined.
i'm labelmates with Moloch(UKR)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..my bro/friend from the Ukraine. he is giving me full support.
only started this a few months ago as a joke...and the punchline is it paid off....i'm touring next year...all over.
things go right i may actually be able to meet all of you at a gig ..way cool.
and friday when i found out i thought it could get no better..i was wrong, happily so.
i am in a relationship again with a girl who is everything i ever wanted ..and more...we hit it off from the start and no stopping now...yeah guys...i'm deeply in love and she feels the same. crazy i know but hell..it works.
her name is Gillian, from London...and she is crazy about me.
here is the crazy part..guys...she is 20...she loves me as me and prefers older men.
found each other and found we were looking for each other..crazy as it sounds.
she has made me the happiest man in the world..and she loves me as much.
brunette..around 5'6..kind of slim...and a knockout with a killer body...
i don't know how but i can say i now have all i ever wanted...and more coming even.
guess my old crazy luck is back with a vengeance, took a long time but DEFINITELY worth the wait
on top of the world loving the view
working on new tunes this week..will keep you all posted.
hell yeahhhhhhhhhhhh
life is great
Keep it HEAVY
peace

and thanks to everyone who checked out and liked my track
means a lot to me
back on track and no stopping now....full speed ahead

I still regret not buying anything at the Hell/Primordial show but they had it going beyond 11PM and the last train to get back to Liverpool was at 11:30 so the last two songs of the show had to be missed out and I wasn't willing to carry the merch around in the crowd throughout the show.

Studio albums get priority over EP anyway but I'm still considering looking into the latest EP after I'm sorted with the studio albums.

I am digging the last three songs from The Mantle quite a bit. Is this a good sign from me? I'll admit, the voice clips at the end of The Hawthorne Passage irk me a bit but the rest of the track won't be ignored over that.

Missing the end of a show is always a sad thing... And I also hate to carry merchs during a whole show. Agalloch's show including Taurus and Musk Ox's sets lasted for something like 4 hours. I would have hated holding a fuckin' cd for the whole gig.

Iron Maiden comes to the Shoreline on friday. Totally looking forward to it, and totally looking forward to hearing Maiden songs live that they don't normally play live.

Also, my new girlfriend, Melissa, is considering getting a full size bass amplifier. She wants to be part of the future Psycryptik lineup, doing bass and female singing, which means I now only need a guitarist for a live show, since I will do guitar and vocals, and my friend D-Rod will be the sound engineer (I use a lot of programmed synths and I use programmed drums, so I need a sound guy who knows my stuff to accompany me.) Looking forward to doing shows in the future, and I think I know a guitarist who would love to join.

If I ever do a show under the Psycryptik moniker, I'll let you guys know and have someone record a bootleg so I can post it.

In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion is the longest from the lot but even with that, it's still a strong track. I like how there's four instrumentals from this album and The Hawthorne Passage is finding a lot of love from myself right now.

She's trying to get me a job at this local music store in Marin. She knows the owner. I love working with guitars, and I want to get another fender (or fender-like) guitar as my next purchase, so this should go over quite well.

As for me im holding off on buying any more guitars or guitar related things. I feel as though i have enough at the moment.

I have 4 electrics and an acoustic that was converted into an acoustic/electric by the dude that owned it before me.
In total ive had...I wanna say 8 guitars. ESP LTD Viper 50, my acoustic electric, BC Rich Bich, some crappy strat copy, Epiphone SG, Epiphone Les Paul, Hamer Explorer, and a Gibson SG. I no longer have the last three. The LP was destroyed, I gave the Explorer back to the person I got it from, and I sold the Gibson.

Only now I discover a band called Hexenhaus, a swedish thrash metal band from the 80s. I shat myself when I saw the album cover for A Tribute to Insanity.
