Hey man don't be a dick about it. We were all newfags at one time, don't chase potential members away.

Go through my post history, you're sure to find something. I know that sounds conceited, but I've namedropped a variety of bands over the years. Also, Bow Wow. Listen to Bow Wow.
Every day, starting January 1, 2013, I will post a little blurb about a song, with a video embedded (basically, I am ripping Bahamut off here).
Will it be one song per band or multiple songs?

It will be one song per band. So there will be 365 different bands. A lot of you guys will know the bands because I have been introduced to them through the Hell, but whatever.

I'm actually curious about the early Cradle material. Sure, I'm cautious and reluctant to hear them but I know I should at least give it a chance. I took my sweet time to listen to the better materials of Children of Bodom.

This is why I've tried to find other stuff in the meantime. I want to be able to discover something on my own behalf and give you all something you'll have never heard before. I know I did that with Legend but I gotta keep on my toes.

I've only listened to one album that I've enjoyed, and that is Midian. While it has the over played and over rated Her Ghost in the Fog, the rest is a really solid album. Lord Abortion and Cthulu Dawn are highlights.

hey did anyone listen to the new Baroness song that was premiered last night "Eula"?
i missed it and i was wondering if anyone here got a chance to hear it...
because there was one video of it on youtube but it was taken down because of a copyright claim by Relapse
So, when Luca Turilli left Rhapsody (of Fire), he started another band...called Luca Turilli's Rhapsody. Which sounds almost exactly like Rhapsody (of Fire), except with a slightly worse vocalist. Really? Does this make sense to anyone? They said they split over "creative differences," yet, he goes on to produce something that sounds identical.

Fun entry for Metal Calendar. I had my fun when I put a song from Helloween's Chameleon on my Monday Metal Treasures.

Unless Rhapsody of Fire does something different... I bet the musical style will hardly change, unless the loss of Turilli will take a drastic turn. That saying, I enjoy Rhapsody a lot and the only album I haven't really liked from them is half of Symphony of Enchanted Lands.
Havoc Unit did remixes of Sun I Call and Bragi by Solefald.
Speaking of which, did you check out Norron Livskunst yet, Ghoul?

I couldn't find anything by them. I'll be on the lookout, though

Tvangeste, Sinful, Nokturnal Mortum, Helheim (kinda), Kvist, Limbonic Art, Mirrorthrone, just to name a few.
Have any of you guys heard of a project called Metroid Metal? As a huge Metroid fan, I got a kick out of hearing these classic video game themes arranged like this. I personally found them to be very faithful to the source music. If anyone else here is a fan of the Metroid series of games, check 'em out.

I'll be sure to check them out. I always make sure to look into what you recommend. After all, you got me into a lot of bands that are still among my favorites, like Ulver, Arcturus, and Solefald.
I couldn't find anything by them. I'll be on the lookout, though
Nah, man, I'm talking about the new Solefald album. It's tits. The female guest vocalist on Tittentattenteksti reminds me of Julie Christmas, which is a good thing.
Tvangeste, Sinful, Nokturnal Mortum, Helheim (kinda), Kvist, Limbonic Art, Mirrorthrone, just to name a few.
I guess Mirrorthrone would count. Either way, that Vlad dude is awesome. My favorite songs are from Gangrene.
Also, here's Tittentattenteksti.
Getting Dark Angel's Darkness Descends and Forbidden's Forbidden Evil at once? I can easily call that a thrashfest with two albums alone. Had it not been for initial research, I would have guessed Dark Angel were part of the Teutonic thrash metal scene due to how similar they are to the key bands.

anyway, Dimensional Psychosis is pretty rad. Y'all should check it out.

Dimensional Psychosis - Astral Abortion

Yeah people act differently online than in real life. After being offline for so long, I realized that it's funner to "convert and educate" than to simply scorn and make our e-peen grow larger.

Yeah I posted 2 of their songs recently. They have a few songs on their album that use entirely synthesised beats.

Yeah that's Mirrorthrone's best. Cochet certainly has a fuckton of creativity at his hands

Yep. And actually, if you go to there website, you can download all their songs for free. Or if you want to support them you can buy their album for like $6, or their EP for $4.

Someone mentioned your label. I'm gonna be doing another demo in the next few months, just waiting on a spot at the studio. I'm not going to cajole you into signing me, but that'd be really heavy if you did. I could use some distribution/getting the word out, and yeah.
