Oh! And I hear Cryptopsy's new album is coming out soon? I'm super excited for that! Making your seventh album self-titled is a little weird, but as long as the music is good.

It's nothing new, really. Bands like Stratovarius, Annihilator and such made self-titled albums in their mid/late career.

Bill, please cut that shit out. I don't know if I can speak for everyone, but I like having you here. I don't always get the time to reply to your posts, but merely having them is a gift. It's good to see veterans like you around, posting every so and so, and ending every post with "keep it HEAVY". I get bummed out every time you claim to leave, and I'm sure everyone else was too. Look at the posts of when your account was deleted and you left. Everyone was saddened, and most every post probably had the sad emote.

Don't leave, Bill. It's not the horseman hang out you claim to be, but if you leave, it will be one notch closer.

Pretty ambitious to have your seventh LP be a self-titled album, indeed. Not only will they put their name on this record, but as there won't be another title on the album, this can be perceived as a personnal will of the band to make this album the definition of their personnality as a band. Quite ambitious... Especially considering how badly received their last album was among their fans. But I'm really hoping for something good with this album. Jon Levasseur is back in the band, and we all know what awesome riffs he can write.

So Ponos, Centurion-Ryan, Tobi, TheSporkLord, AniMetal, Haggard, Delirium, Viper50, rockreaper and Zodir are all Horsemen now ? I guess I might have missed something.

Now just... stop that Bill. For once. You do that "I'm leaving for good" shit on a regular basis now, and no matter how sad I think it is to see a regular and veteran of the Metal Hell feel like he doesn't fit in anymore, I don't see why you feel the need to post this kind of stuff so often. We have plenty of discussions and you feel we are not cool with you for not answering your posts? quick question has anyone here heard the little teaser Baroness released for Yellow & Green yet?

anyone here listen to: Volva (there is supposed to be an umlaut over the o but newgrounds would fuck it up...), Witch, Black Land, Windhand, Witchsorrow, or Ice Dragon?
(wow 3 out of 5 of those bands have the word "witch" in their name...)

well long story short i wont be posting much here...or really anywhere else...
got a bunch of crazy shit going on in my life and a bunch of injuries ive received in the past month or so that should have been taken care of but weren't: like 3 mild concussions, pains in my heart, weird back spasms out of nowhere, etc. etc....

I listened to a little bit of Ice Dragon a while back. Not really my thing, to be honest, but I guess they're pretty good for what they are. I've always found Stoner stuff kind of hard to listen to.

So everyone shut up. Anyone who wants to discuss their personal life with any other member, add them on facebook or shoot them a private message.

Jeeze. In LEGITIMATE metal news, this is depressing.

Speaking of progpower, Symphony X announced they want to do something to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Divine Wings of Tragedy on their facebook and twitter pages, this combiend with a combo I had with Michael Lepond in March leads me to the conclusion they might be playing Divine Wings, either the album or just the song, in entirety at progpower. Exciting times.

March of the Varangian Guard and End of an Empire are great, but the rest of the tracks just sort of blend together into a big, formless blob of mediocrity.

Forgot to reply to this before but I actually found Stand Up and Fight to be really good, one of the best releases of 2011 for sure. The title track and The Great Escape easily had me pumped for the album. You did check out the outro section for The Great Escape right? Despite that, I'm glad you at least got enjoyment from End of an Empire because that easily takes the crown for the whole album.

Hard to make a real judgment on it with that clip but that's only a minute out of possibly 100 minutes worth of music from the entire album.

So yeah, new song Cryptopsy live and an interview with the band. Pretty good, but it seem like they can't decide whether to be a rehash of Blasphemy Made Flesh or Once Was Not. Damn well pit worthy though, it's cool to see Matt stuck with the band despite all the criticism. People like to haze him because he's the new vocalist, but it was really Flo's idea to make Unspoken. Besides, Matt is good at doing vox on Worm's stuff (I haven't heard his DiSlavo attempt yet) and he seemed OK with most of the Unspoken songs being removed from setlists. He's cool in my book.

I definitely will be buying this. They deserve all the support they can get.

Oh, and I hate it when people act like bands selling out is a personal attack against them. David Vincet and Flo never personally harmed you. Shut the fuck up.

I don't care if you have some personnal matters you want to discuss sometimes, but my point and it is very logical, is that this is the Metal Hell, and we shouldn't have to deal with this on such a regular basis.

Just what the fuck is your problem ? Whenever I disagree with you, you try to jump me like a stupid fuckin' pissed off teenager. I'm tired of this shit. Go away. I didn't do anything to you and still you adress me with all these insults. I never asked anyone to quote me. You are just so fucking clustered in your little world you didn't understand the point of my post.

I might get banned for this, I donâEUTMt know exactly how things work in here. I've never heard Matt do the old tracks. I'll search around YouTube to hear those :)

Also, I'd hope they would go back to their roots and get to sound something like None So Vile or Blasphemy Made Flesh again. These two albums are my absolute favorites and I didn't really care for their later work. According to what we are hearing right now though, it doesn't seem like my wishes are going to be granted. Still, if they go back to Death Metal, it cannot be a bad thing :)

I still feel that Matt's behavior is kind of weird. Just look at him in the link you shared. The look on his face! He looks like he's going to sing Walk by Pantera or something. I hate tha Deathcore attitude. You don't have to look pissed to be true.

I actually think Sodom's ST is one of their better albums. Bibles and Guns and City of God both have really fun riffs that I headbang too all the time. I actually might rank it in their top 5. And I know this might be a bit controversial, but I really think M-16 is their best album. If you haven't checked it out, do so now.

And I feel like I need to address Bill's drama a little. I really respect you man, but you have done this so many times that I have lost count. I understand if you have some personal problems that you want to work out, that's cool, but don't take it out on us. If you need to take a little time away from the club, that's fine too. Lol, that certainly isn't a Deathcore attitude, I've seen it in DM vocalists all the time. Corpsefisher, Frank Mullen, etc do it all the time. He's probably just into the song, and it's his way of having stage presence.

Just wondering, has anyone here seen a deathcore band live? No, I don't mean a big band on a big stage, I mean a local band on ground level. It's fucking wild, every single band I've seen, wild. Moshing all over the place, pulling in audience members to growl into the mic, joining in pits, it's really cool. They usually have way more presence than most metal bands I've seen. They may not have much punk in the music, but they really show it with the stage antics. If that's the Deathcore attitude, metal bands should pull out a notepad.

Really loved seeing Primordial and Hell last night, even if the show went on for too long and having to miss out on the last two Primordial songs as a result due to train times. Gods to the Godless and Empire Falls were missed out and that's quite a blow. Oh well, at least I got all the enjoyment I could possibly get out of Hell.

I'm just hoping it was just shitty YouTube compression but it's a wall of sound to me. Something that doesn't bode well with traditional metal for me.

I just listened to the new Sigh album, which was awesome.

Hey, Ghoul, have you listened to War of the Roses yet? It's really good.
