Review for Drakkar's new album. Hopefully that's the last time I listen to them apart from that one song I gave mercy to.

Actually, as a death metal band, they do something that stands out extremely well.

I want this !
Apr. 06 - Montreal, QC - Metropolis (O)
Iced Earth / Symphony X / Warbringer tour.
Feb. 05 - Metropolis - Montreal, QC, Canada
I think I will be missing that gig. Even though I'd really like to see Symphony X live again, I would like them to be the main act. I mentionned back then that I didn't knew Iced Earth enough. Even though I really should get into their music more. I didn't get the chance to do it recently. I don't really see the point of going to a gig like this one, expect maybe to discover these bands. I know that Warbringer and Iced Earth are amazing bands, even if I don't know these two much. So that would be the good reason to go, plus... I would still get to see Symphony X live again :) But alone... Cause my friends suck and my girlfriend is always busy on sunday night... with work and dancing classes.
In Flames / Trivium / Veil of Maya / Kyng tour.
Feb. 15 - Metropolis - Montreal, QC
I bet you won't find many people to go to that tour in the Metal Hell. That's going to be one hell of a fucking shitty tour. I saw In Flames live back when they released A Sense Of Purpose, and I couldn't believe how much of their older stuff they didn't play. Most of the tracks were from ASOP and Come Clarity. They were still good on stage though, and when they played the older stuff, it was still as great as before :)
Children of Boredom / Eluveitie / Revocation / Threat Signal tour.
I see what you did there.
Feb. 27 - Metropolis, Montreal, QC
I might just go to that show, even if their latest stuff isn't that good. When they play stuff from the first four it's still highly enjoyable, and Eluveitie and Threat Signal will both be there. Soooo
Alcest / Deafheaven tour. (keep in mind, more dates T.B.A.)
No dates in Montreal yet. But if they get to play in Montreal, I have to go. Especially after listenning to their new album !!!
Can't wait !!!
The Black Dahlia Murder / Nile / Skeletonwitch / Hour of Penance tour.
Oh... no dates in Montreal... so sad...
Lol cock. The fuck why would Nile and Hour of Penance tour with these two? Are they out of their minds?
Kittie / Blackguard / The Agonist / Bonded By Blood tour.

This is highly humoristic, because there will always be people to pay for this kind of shit. Prepare yourself, cause you are about to get buttfucked in the ears... wait what?

GWAR is lol and Municipal Waste is cool.
Paganfest... not that much of a fan of epic battle folk metal, so I dunno...
Metalliance will suck. JFAC, DevilDriver... I dunno. Some of the bands are ok or good, though.
Mayhemfest, like previously stated, will suck balls, even if some great bands will be there.

I know they are not the same. I think I just misread your post. Or maybe I just assumed you were talking about Morbid Angel because Morbid Saint didn't release anything since 1992. Well, if you are speaking the thruth, then I would really like to see them live :) This is an amazing band :)

The band Yes.
Seriously, one of the greatest prog. rock bands ever.
In b4 someone recommends tons of metal bands with the letter "Y", because chances are they wouldn't exist without Yes's influence. (either directly or indirectly)

Their song "Dismantle The Dictator" seems to be incredibly popular.
They're also known for doing oldschool death metal covers live from bands like Death, Sepultura, Cynic, Atheist, Obituary and i'm sure others as well - so if you end up going to that tour, i'd imagine you'd probably see a DM classic. :)

Yeah, Morbid Saint got back together - they were just confirmed for Maryland Deathfest, as well as various European metal fests this summer, and are recording a new album to be released sometime this year. :)
i was actually curious about your thoughts on the Sepultura / Death Angel / Krisiun / Havok tour and the Ulcerate / Tombs tour. hahahaThat might dissapoint you, but I don't know these bands that much, except for Krisiun.
Ah.
Sepultura:
80's Sepultura = pretty good oldschool death metal, bordering on thrash.
Arise(1991) and Chaos A.D.(1993) = Oldschool death metal MASTERPIECES
Roots(1996) = Very bizzarre and weird, but still pretty good - especially if you enjoy really strange music. Also had guest appearances of people like Les Claypool, Mike Patton and some of the guys from Korn.
POST-Roots Sepultura = Not even worth listening to. Basically they were NU metal for a few albums, and their most recent stuff is just HORRIBLY generic death metal failing to recreate their original sound.
Death Angel: Classic thrash metal band, their first three albums are classics(Act III is my favorite of them), and they've released three albums in the 00's - but all three of them are horribly generic and boring IMO.
Havok: Newschool thrash metal band, one of the few REALLY worth listening to. Along with Vektor, Diamond Plate, Lich King, Warbringer, Mantic Ritual, etc.
Ulcerate: I can't describe these guys, so i'm going to use a quote I found to describe them...
"The third full-length from New Zealand-based death metal band Ulcerate isn't that different from its predecessor, 2009's Everything Is Fire. The band still balances between atmospheric guitar textures (calling what Michael Hoggard plays "riffs" is extremely reductive) and powerful, blastbeat-driven but equally spacious drumming from Jamie Saint Merat. Bassist/vocalist Paul Kelland is a forceful growler and in some ways a second guitar voice; he's not playing traditional basslines that attempt to anchor the music in any way. "Dead Oceans," for example, has two or three things going on at once -- Saint Merat is demolishing the drum kit while Hoggard plays desolate, soundscape-like guitar figures that are in a much slower tempo than whatever the drummer's doing, and Kelland chants his lyrics like a preacher. Periodically, it all comes together in a hammering assault, and that's Ulcerate in a nutshell. They are clearly a death metal band, but a very adventurous one that owes more to Isis and Meshuggah than Morbid Angel or Cannibal Corpse, and this is an album fans of progressive, forward-looking metal will find very satisfying indeed." ~ Phil Freeman, Rovi
I DEFINITELY recommend you check out Ulcerate, I know your tastes moderatly well, and you will LOOOOOOOOVE them. I promise.
As for Tombs, I don't know who they are either. lol

i like Yes :D
i have a copy of Tormato
granted its not my favorite album by them
but its okay i guess
since Duff asked I will try to explain.
Things with me and her were going fast..really fast.
she got really busy working on new projects and communications began dwindling.
and her drinking increased.
we fought a few times about her drinking and things..always made up and moved ahead.
couple weeks back was a fukked morning..she was hungover, i was in a fukked mood.
fight...got verbally vicious, really vicious
both kinda snapped..she went offline and i began deleting and posting
people took notice, common friends of ours and others.
people commented..got weird.
last i heard from her was a couple weeks ago..she called me up, drunk..wanting to talk
said she would call later because she wanted to talk about things
later came..saw she popped on..sent her a hello
her reply was "Not talk today, later. bye"
so i began my projects and posted them
i now have 3 bands wanting to work with me and more are talking about it.
finding old fans in bands..shit's crazy
anyway..i start taking off and she started fading out..popping in less frequent, only to comment or like something..nobody has heard from her since last week.
last thing she told a common friend was, talk tomorrow..bye.
monday her facebook page was gone...nobody knows where she is or what is happening.
myself and others have been jumping around checking things...it's like she just erased herself like i did a while back..but a little more extreme.
i have been in contact withh her closest online friends..nobody knows what's up.
all say the same though..know i loved her, she was happiest anyone ever saw..things took off fast for her then me...saw the fight..told me to hang in there and it'll be ok and work out..saw her drink even more..and now she's just disappeared and wiped out her page..i dunno, i know she had upcoming projects to be released that she sent me copies of...shit's fukked.
hasn't even commented on our common friends pages in a week..i'm kinda worried and not alone in feeling so..
other than that my other friend i talked about last year...in the hospital this week, so far treatments not working..leukemia may take her..
they are my muses..one side and another
so that is what i meant...one's dying, other is ..no one knows
but yeah, marriage is gone..can't marry a corpse or one missing..or a drunk who changed her mind.
got my music, got label and musician friends..people who dig my stuff.
have over 20 vids up now of death squad and my 2 new projects
recorded over 2 hours of music...more in the works
so yeah, lost the muse for now..but gained the music
have a ton of work tomorrow..wish me luck..gonna need it
keep it HEAVY
peace

Not Yellowcard. Why you'd recommend a pop punk band is beyond me.
Yearning and Yob, both doom metal for you.
